The world was destroyed, ahead of schedule.

Thud.

The shoe stepped on a puddle of blood

‘…blood?’

Kyaaaaagh!

Terrible screams heard from somewhere,

“Ah! help me! Save me!”

The screams of people calling for help intertwined.

Only then can the town that has become a scene of mayhem come into view. People on the streets were running away somewhere in a panic.

It was a village that was lively enough to open the market even yesterday.

Puck-

I was run over by running people and fell in the middle of the road. Strange-looking monsters rushed behind people’s backs.

Yes, unbelievable, but that’s a monster.

Wow!

At first glance, the man’s mouth opened wide. A person was swallowed up in an instant between densely packed teeth.

“XX.”

Many people were killed by monsters or turned into one after being bitten.

And what caught my eye in that mess.

‘Why is that human over there… ?’

In the middle of the street, a man in a police uniform was fighting a monster, helping people escape.

I jumped up from my seat and ran to the middle of the village. I saw a weapon store with broken glass doors.

I went into the shop to avoid the people running away. I found an axe, a weapon that I could easily handle, and came out.

And I mercilessly struck down the monster that was running this way.

Cwaaac-

The monster’s green blood splattered all over my face.

Thud.

This time, the monster next to me raised his head. His face had four eyes and were the size of my fist.

When our  eyes met, I paused for a moment, to not provoke him.

The four pupils constrict and dilate repeatedly as they gaze at me.

I looked at him without blinking even once. I was thinking of putting an ax in his head when he wasn’t paying attention.

It was then.

I could see the hard black boots stepping through the puddles of blood without hesitation.

Taang-!

Then the sound of gunfire rang in my ears.

I see a tall, slender man in my field of vision. The man shot and killed the monster in front of me with a single shot.

“Damn it, it never ends.”

Eden, the man who looked around, turned to me with a harsh curse.

“Are you hurt anywhere?”

I raised my head and took a closer look at the man.

Nobody knows yet, but I do. That man is someone who should never die here.

‘Eden Duncan Lancaster.’

He was the heroine’s older brother and a man with antiviral antibodies.

An ultramarine blue police uniform that fitted his body, neatly combed blonde hair, and a hat with a golden star mark.

Contrary to the color of his fit, Eden’s face and clothes were splattered with blood.

The blue eyes of the man met my gaze, they were terrifyingly cold.

‘This is not the time.’

I hurriedly grabbed his hand. Eden’s eyebrows raised in question.

“Come with me, out of town.”

“I know this situation is like X, but there might still be survivors, right?”

I knew you would say that. Because he was a man with a strong sense of duty as a police officer.

‘That’s why I came this far.’

Kwaaaak-

The number of monsters was gradually increasing, and now few survivors could be seen.

There were several times more monsters than humans.

The increased number of monsters began to occupy the village, and most of them were blocking the road, so it seemed difficult to escape to the outskirts.

If you don’t leave now, you will be isolated.

“Sorry.”

Puck!

I hit Eden on the back of the head with the handle of the axe, knocking him out.

Fall down

I, stronger than others, carried the fallen Eden on my shoulders and ran.

I ran, ran, and ran, avoiding the attacking monster.

By the time I run out of the outskirts of town and run up the hill at once, I was out of breath-

We finally arrived in front of the big gate.

Bang-!

I went inside, closed the door, and set him down on the floor as if throwing it. I let out a sigh of relief  after I locked the latch.

Wow! Kreuk! Kuwak!

Outside the door was full of monster cries. I could hear the dull noise of them continuing to slam against the gate.

I carefully peered out through the crack in the door.

“Damn it, I can’t go out.”

The monsters that chased us are swarming outside the door, and the number is increasing.

It seemed impossible for them to get inside thanks to the hardened barriers in advance. But the problem is that I can’t even go outside myself.

Eden and I are trapped in this house.

If Eden comes to his senses, he might try to kill me in this absurd situation..

‘I don’t know. I saved the world now.’

To be precise, I kidnapped the man who supposedly would save the world before he died.

To explain how this happened, we have to go back about three weeks.
