Liu Juan's mind turned into a mess. She didn't know what to do. Should she shove him away or kiss him back?
She couldn't think properly and when she realized that Mo Jiang had entered his tongue in her mouth, she felt suffocated as if all her oxygen was depleted away.
Her limbs turned weak and then suddenly, out of nowhere, her nightmarish memory from the past flashed in her mind and she shoved him aside, "No!"
And their passionate kiss broke.
A horrified look was evident in her eyes which made Mo Jiang curse inwardly.
He didn't want to hurt her, but he didn't know what happened that he couldn't stop himself today.
Nevertheless, what was done was done; he couldn't undo it.
"Liu Juan..."
"No, this is wrong. I don't deserve this!" Before Mo Jiang could say anything, Liu Juan stomped away from him.
And her words made him furrow his brows.
"I should go!" Liu Juan turned to leave but her words ignited his anger and he grabbed her arm before she could take another step away.
"What do you mean you don't deserve it, huh?" Mo Jiang indignantly asked.
"You know what I mean!" Liu Juan tried to release herself from his grip but to no avail.
"I like you! Let's get married." Mo Jiang suddenly said, making her widen her eyes.
She knew that there was some kind of affection brewing between them, but she didn't expect this proposal of his.

Yes, it was a strange word to her, but she didn't dare to embrace it.
"No! This is not possible." Liu Juan shook her head vigorously and tried to move away from him, but he kept tightening his grip.
Although he didn't say anything, she knew about his feelings towards her and now she was rejecting him only because of that pathetic reasoning of hers.
With the passage of time, his grip on her arm was getting more tight that she w.h.i.n.ed in pain, "It is hurting."
"Why is it not possible, tell me?" At that moment, Mo Jiang didn't care about her pain.
"You already know it." Liu Juan stiffened.
"No, I don't. You tell me." Mo Jiang snarled.
"Mo Jiang, please... don't do this. I don't deserve you. My past..." Liu Juan's eyes flooded with tears.
"What about your past? Tell me." Mo Jiang wouldn't leave her without getting a proper answer from her.
But Liu Juan felt too weak to say a word. Her past was her weakness which she didn't want to bring up ever and Mo Jiang was forcing her against it.
"I...I love you..." Liu Juan sobbed and said the words which she had been feeling every day but didn't dare to say because of her past which made her incapable of being with him.
Hearing her words, Mo Jiang froze this time.
Love was much more than a mere liking which he had for her.
At that moment, Mo Jiang hesitated. He just liked her and wanted to live a blissful life which they had been living together nowadays.
He hesitated on the thought that what if he could not reciprocate the love she had for him.
He never bothered about her past, but he was worried about the fact that she loved him. He didn't want to be unfair to her.
Mo Jiang stepped back and walked away while Liu Juan's quiet sobs turned into a wail as she lost her energy and crouched down.
Everything was going good then why did it happen?
Did Mo Jiang not want her to stay here anymore?

Liu Juan couldn't imagine her life without Mo Jiang now. She knew Mo Jiang wouldn't love her back that was why she never revealed her feelings for him but now all this happened.

Last night wasn't peaceful for neither Mo Jiang, Liu Juan, or Mo Jinnan.
The brothers couldn't get a wink because few things were eating them up. Liu Juan couldn't sleep because her nightmare which hadn't arrived since she started living blissfully had finally come.
The fear of the past could not get her to sleep. She was soaked in copious amounts of sweat and her eyes were puffy because of uncontrollable tears.
As of now she didn't know how to face Mo Jiang and live further.
She didn't want to accept the reality until the sound of knocking was heard from outside her bedroom door.
She didn't want to open it as she knew who would be there.
Or perhaps her fear to lose Mo Jiang would come true once she would open the door.
