The silver-eyed man, Heisenberg, descended from the skies, encompassed by demonic energy and darkness. It was quite clear he had grown even stronger than before if he could unleash such powers. Whatever pact he has with Beelzebub, it must be extremely powerful.
The skies darkened, and purple lightning surged. And three other figures accompanied him. Yes, only three. Anna couldn’t stop thinking that the rest could be hiding somewhere, waiting for things to worsen and strike. They weren’t cunning villains in the novel for nothing, and now that they had the backing of a literal demon, it could only make them even more dangerous.
However, it wasn’t as if everything was hopeless either. She had acquired a Class, her Stats increased, she had new Skills and Powers, a new Mythic Pet, and Jack, her friends, Henrietta, and the useless Lee were also here.
“W-What’s going on?” The major wondered, glancing into the skies.
“Major! Run!” Suddenly, a bodyguard hunter jumped over the major as a bolt of black lightning descended from Heisenberg’s right hand!
CLASH!
However, before it could hit the bodyguard, who was only a C-Rank Hunter, a mass of shadows emerged in front of them, engulfing them and making them disappear!
“What?! They’re gone?” Asked Heisenberg. “Oh?” A smile surged on his lips as he finally noticed the uninvited guests.
The darkness gathered once more, forming into the shape of a tall and handsome man; his eyes resembled those of a ferocious wolf, and his black hair merged with the darkness he controlled.
“That’s… Jack?!” One of the figures shrouded in darkness close to Heisenberg cried in surprise, with the voice of a woman.
“Oh, Scarlet, this is the guy you like? Hahaha! He’s trying to stop us now, though…” The smaller of the three figures accompanying Heisenberg laughed mockingly.
“Hmmm… Scarlet, it seems you couldn’t convince him at the end. What were you even doing this entire time then?” The third figure spoke.
“Tch…” Scarlet sighed, glancing at the distance.
“Now, now.” Heisenberg laughed. “There’s no point in getting mad at our friend. Mistakes can happen, right? We just have to take care of him. He doesn’t matter anymore, right?”
“R-Right…” Scarlet nodded, and as all four figures landed on the floor, most of the people in the area were already running away. While the important politicians were all engulfed in shadows, Jack protected them by sending them inside his Shadow World within his own shadow.
“Now, shall we crush some worms?” Laughed Heisenberg. “I’ve been waiting for this for a loooong time!”
“They landed!” Henrietta notified everyone through her Telepathy Skill, as several figures appeared out of the buildings.
Heisenberg’s silver eyes glanced and noticed every single person in just a split second. From Anna, her friends, to Henrietta and Lee, who he thought were the greatest threat aside from the Shadowmancer.
“Would you look at this? It's quite the welcome! Were we set up? How foolish of us to have fallen into your trap!” Laughed Heisenberg.
“He’s reacting too differently than we thought." Henrietta flew towards Heisenberg alongside everyone else.
“No matter! He must be just bluffing! Kill that bastard while he’s standing there!” Lee roared, summoning a long golden sword, his powerful Magical Aura surging from within his body.
“Fenrir!” Jack summoned the strength of Fenrir as he transformed into a terrifying Shadow Werewolf.
All three of the strongest hunters in Stronghold attacked Heisenberg and his three subordinates at the same time.
CRASH!
However, all of their weapons were suddenly blocked by a powerful purple and black barrier, concentrating shadows, demonic energy, mana, and a fourth strange energy nobody had seen nor detected before.
“Fufu, did you think you would ever be able to touch my master so easily, you rats?” The taller man of the three subordinates laughed, with long black hair and pale white skin, his red eyes glowing brightly. “As long as I exist, my master shall never be hurt.”
His very powers manifested into this powerful barrier, which not only blocked the attack of an S-Rank Hunter and two near S-Ranks but also began to burn their weapons with a strange purple flame!
“T-That’s Demonic Flames?!” Anna wondered. “No… That’s Chaos! Get away from there!!!”
Anna desperately cried as Jack glanced back at Heisenberg for a split second before his eyes opened in shock! The man was just laughing his ass off! There wasn’t even an inch of fear on his face.
As if they had predicted this outcome the entire time!
“Hahahaha! You’re all so entertaining!” He laughed as his right hand’s Demonic Stigma glowed brightly, covering his entire body with black and purple tattoos. “{Demonic Gate}”

A huge explosion of pure demonic energy and chaos energy was unleashed from the barrier as Jack, Henrietta, and Lee were thrown away in a single second!
However, Anna flew into the skies with Seraphin Wings and appeared right in front of the tremendous amount of chaotic energy coming to all three of them.
“GRAM!!!”
[“On it!”]

Gram shone with celestial radiance as the sword changed its appearance, gaining a golden color as a powerful, protective barrier covered Anna, which she manipulated by fusing it with her Ki and Mana, covering everyone else behind her. All within just a split second.

A huge explosion spread out, covering the surrounding streets. The unfortunate civilians caught in the chaotic energy instantly felt their bodies burning, screaming, and falling to the floor.
“Fuck!” Anna muttered, quickly glancing at the horrifying scene.

“It burns! IT HURTS!”

The people who started burning and groaning in agony started to mutate, their bodies growing larger and more monstrous, resembling abominable mutant zombie-like creatures.
“T-This can’t be…!” Henrietta cried. “But how?! This… they’re so strong… No amount of preparation could have…” She was slowly breaking down.
“Calm down, Henrietta!” Jack said, quickly standing up. “And thanks, Anna. I owe you one again, sister.”
“Don’t worry about me! We have to kill those bastards before they make more of a mess!” Anna said, glancing at the area where they were.
However, they were gone from there!
“Did you say something about killing us, foolish child?” Suddenly, the tallest man with long black hair appeared right in front of Anna, his hands suddenly channeling large quantities of shadows as he swung large demonic claws against her!
However, Anna swiftly intercepted Gram and then brought out of her inventory both of her daggers as she threw them at his face! Nonetheless, the barrier he had conjured protected him easily. None of her attacks even affected it.
“So it’s a Chaos Barrier, as I thought, and a strong one at that.” Anna immediately analyzed it with her Eye of Truth.
“How did you figure out my Chaos Barrier? Just who are you?!” The man roared.
“Not saying, but I know who you are, Shade.” Anna smiled.
“Eh?!” The man stepped back in shock! He had never revealed his name to anybody before; how could she know his name?!
“Gotcha!” Anna roared, gathering Miracle Magic and Celestial Power into her hand and unleashing a beam of pure light. “{Celestial Sunlight Beam}!”
BAAAM!
“Hah! My Chaos Barrier is impenetrable! You’ll need a miracle to even damage it-”
Crack, crack…!
“What?!”
However, to Shade’s disdain, his barrier instantly gained several cracks as Anna’s beam impacted it and then swiftly shattered it into pieces!

“Aarrgh…!”
Shade was swiftly thrown away by a blast of pure angelic might as he hit the building right behind him, going through the walls and the windows!
“Shade?” Heisenberg was surprised, thinking that by anticipating their coming and having planned, their victory was assured! “You…!” The man himself glared at Anna with fury.
However, before the silver-eyed bastard could attack Anna, a mass of shadows, not belonging to his subordinate, appeared right behind him. It was Jack himself, whose Demonic Gram overflowed with pure darkness.
“{God Devouring Blade}!”
Several slashing blows were unleashed at once, as Heisenberg was forced to give Jack his attention! Swiftly, he replicated the Chaos Barrier that Shade created and defended himself, only to be thrown with the barrier and everything as Jack kicked him with all his strength.
CLASH!
“This damn bastard…!”
The bubble of chaos impacted another nearby building, creating destruction everywhere as more Miasma started spreading around the surroundings. The civilians that were turned into zombie-like monsters instantly tried to attack the nearest targets, as Anna and her friends found themselves surrounded by hundreds of them.
“Anna, what do we do?!” Kevin cried. “We can’t just kill them…!”
“I have a way to heal them, but for now, we need to restrain them! Dan Baihe, freeze them all!” Said Anna.
“Okay!” Dan Baihe nodded. “Finally, time to see how all my training has paid off!” Dan Baihe summoned all her Magic Power at once as a huge shockwave of freezing winds reached the surrounding targets! “{Freezing Coffin}!”

In just an instant, all civilians that turned into monsters became ice statues! However, a sudden slash reached a few of them, shattering them into pieces.

“Hahahaha! That’s hilarious, you know?”
And the culprit of that attack sat down over the dismembered head of an innocent person, smiling mockingly. His appearance was like that of a young child, with blonde hair and sharp blue eyes. However, when he attacked, his body was of a completely different composition, as if it had turned into pure slime.
“Mind if I play around a bit while the grownups are fighting?” He asked, glancing at Jack fighting against Heisenberg and Henrietta confronting the recovered Shade.
“You monster!” Dan Baihe roared angrily as she suddenly covered the floor with frost, huge spikes emerging from the ice and piercing his body.
“That’s not going to work.”
However, the spikes simply didn’t do any damage, his entire body turning into a slimy substance, sliding through the spikes as he landed right in front of the destroyed statues, and then turning back into his normal form.
“You’re a pretty girl, and strong too~ I wonder if you have a boyfriend. If you want, you could join us! You seem to have a lot of grudges against society. I can see the depths of people’s hearts.” Laughed the kid.
“What nonsense are you talking about?!” Dan Baihe gritted her teeth in anger. “As if I would ever join a band of psychopaths!”
“Oi, that hurt a bit.” The boy laughed, his body quickly shapeshifting into slime-like form and stretching directly towards Dan Baihe, both of his arms transforming into sharp spear-like growths that materialized into metal. “How about I open some holes in that pretty face of yours?!”
CLASH!
His blows were powerful, but they lacked speed and precision. Kevin and Anna jumped into the scene and reflected the blows with their powerful divine weapons, while Annabelle jumped right behind him.
“That’s enough, Roy!”
Gathering her strength into her legs, Annabelle kicked the boy down the floor by hitting his materialized body part, managing to damage him! However, as his body splattered into the floor into more slime, his face appeared over his destroyed back.
“Annabelle… I didn’t know you were playing with the opposite team! That’s not fair at all…” Roy laughed. “Oh? Wait, are you serious? Are you betraying us? Pff… Hahahahah! The little weeping girl is betraying us?!” His laughter made Annabelle hesitate, stepping back.
“Shut up, you bastard!!!” Kevin roared, gathering Mana into his spear and attacking Roy with all his might!
“Kevin, no!” Anna, who was the wariest against Roy because she knew of his abilities, tried to stop Kevin.
But it was too late.

When Kevin’s spear attack pierced through Roy’s body on the floor, almost no damage was taken by the boy, and to make things worse, his slimy body splattered all over Kevin’s body! And like acid, it began to slowly melt his armor and burn the exposed skin of his hands.
“Uggh?! Aaarrggh…!”
Kevin screamed as Roy laughed, his entire body continuously expanding into a monstrous slime-like creature, opening its gigantic maws with countless sharp teeth.
“I’ll eat you first because I don’t care about a lame guy like you~!”
