Anna took the opportunity, opened her eyes, and said feebly, "She's also my mummy. I'm happy I could be of some help. Oh... I feel so dizzy." She leaned into Spencer's arms, looking fragile. Normally when a girl behaved like this, men would love to be able to protect and help her.

"Please take Anna to the room next door and let her rest," Spencer said to the bodyguards as he pushed Nathalia towards them. He had too much in his mind to think of Anna. "I'm worried about my mum. I need to stay with her."

His reaction shocked everyone. Shouldn't he be so grateful that he will show some compassion and love to Anna? He was supposed to be touched by her.

Anna cursed inside but swallowed her anger and frustration. She stood upright and said, "I'm fine. I will stay with you and mummy."

Spencer frowned and disagreed. "You need to take care of yourself. Don't worry about mum now. I will stay with her." He said and hurried into the room.

Anna stomped her feet angrily. Huh. How can he be so cold? What else can I do?

"Don't worry, Miss Anna Jones," her bodyguard comforted, "Mr. Spencer Davidson will be yours one day." However, it's been over a decade, and there seemed to be no progress at all.

Hearing what the bodyguard said, Anna grew even angrier. "One day?! One day? When?! I've waited for over ten years..."

Well. You either keep waiting or give up. What else can you do? The bodyguard thought. "If it's meant to happen, he will be yours." He said weakly.

Matt caught up with Nathalia and volunteered to drive her home. Seeing her tranquil face, Matt didn't know what to think. "Why didn't you explain?" He asked, eventually.

Nathalia lifted her eyebrows for a second, then replied casually, "About what?"

How can she still be so calm?! Doesn't she even think about it? Matt thought anxiously.

"It's impossible that you pushed her. You are the kindest person I've ever met. You never hurt anybody. Also, you care about my brother so much. How is it possible that you would hurt his mother?"

Nathalia shrugged her shoulders and said, "It's your own deduction."

It upset Matt so much to see her not defending herself. "I trust you."

She was the purest girl he had ever met. Her bravery, her honesty, her sincerity, her kindness, and the way she lived her life. It was pure.

Nathalia hadn't slept the whole night. She was tired, hungry, and sleepy, and she wasn't in the mood in any conversation or simply the process of thinking.

"What's real? What's fake? I don't really know anymore. I'm so tired. Thanks for taking me home. See you." She said as she pushed the door open.

Matt was concerned about her, so he followed her up to make sure she got back safely.

The worried look on her face turned suspicious and even upset. Tiredness hung around Sophie's eyes. It was obvious that she hadn't slept much either.

Nathalia rubbed her temples gently and nodded, "Yeah. There was an accident. Spent a night at the hospital."

The worried look returned on Sophie's face immediately. "Why? What happened? Anyone got hurt?"

Matt glanced at his watch, noticed the time, and looked hurried. "She's tired. Please look after her. Call me if you need anything." He said to Sophie and left.

"Hey, Matt." Puzzled, Sophie shouted after Matt, but he was gone. "Nathalia, what happened? I'm so confused."

Nathalia woke up after a day and a night's sleep. The first thing she did was to ask about Mrs. Davidson and hearing that she was still in a coma; she let out a deep sigh. I guess I have done what I can do. I'm not God. I'm not a savior. I can only pray for her now.

She packed her bag and went to class, trying to get back to the normal track. Not long after she sat down in the classroom, two policemen came. "Nathalia Carter?"

The teacher and all the students turned around, shocked. What's this about?

Seeing the familiar faces, Nathalia was puzzled. What do they want this time? "It's me. How can I help?

The policemen took a good look at Nathalia and said sternly, "We are the criminal police investigating a car accident. Please come with us to the station."

Everyone gasped.

"Car accident?"

"Nathalia, you are in trouble!"

"Did you hit someone? And ran away?"

"Sir, is she a suspect?"

Various voices and questions filled the classroom. A friendly classmate shouted to Nathalia from behind, "Nathalia, call Spencer. He will help you."

Nathalia turned around, looked at her, and nodded. "Give me a minute. I need to make a phone call." But it was Spencer that she called.

Slowly, Nathalia walked out of the classroom with the police. Everyone watched, murmured, and gossiped.

Sitting in the interrogation room, Nathalia looked around and thought, hmm., back to here again. It looks like I can't escape from this curse, a helpless smile on her face.

The policemen were annoyed with her smile. "Nathalia Carter, did you push Mrs. Davidson?"

Nathalia glanced at the police indifferently and answered, "No." Brief and confident.

The interrogator frowned and continued, "Think carefully before you answer. We've gathered some proof, and you are a suspect of intentional murder."

"Murder?" Nathalia laughed mockingly. "Sir, have you got nothing better to do?"

Last time the police lost their game and face, and now they were hoping to win this one and restore their authority. "Don't laugh. This is serious. I've seen many people like you. Stubborn. Now tell us the truth, or..."

They were determined to revenge and considering using physical torture to threaten Nathalia.

Nathalia lifted her chin up, indicating the camera in the corner, and said, "Or you will torture me until I say what you want to hear? I suggest you think it over. If you ever hurt me, I will pay you back ten times worse." Her face was indifferent, and her tone cold.

The policemen shivered. "How dare you! You are staying here for 48 hours, then we will talk." He said, compromisingly, though still trying to sound tough. Nathalia was not easy to deal with, which they had learned.

Nathalia shrugged her shoulders indifferently, rubbed her little tummy, and said, "Please get me a delivery of cheese omelet and coffee. I'm hungry." She acted as if she was at home, and the police were like her servants.

"You think this is your home?! You are a suspect!" The police yelled angrily.
