"Hmm." Nathalia tilted her head with a thoughtful look and said, "Okay. I don't like you either anyway. I just thought you pitiful and was offering to help."

Kelly, the same as her sister Amy, somehow thought that she was born to be spoiled, adored by the whole world, and if she could not get what she wanted, she would get mad and scream.

Nathalia had no pity for people like her.

As Kelly was about to shout and curse again, Vincent quickly went and took her by her other arm. Vincent and Herman had to literally drag her out of the room.

Mrs. Berry glared at Nathalia resentfully and followed them unwillingly. The crowd watched the family leave, thinking what a scene they had caused and feeling contempt towards them.

One of the hosts, Sam Clark, went over to Nathalia and said apologetically, "Mrs. Nathalia Davidson, please don't let it spoil your mood. I shouldn't have invited them. Shall I get you another drink or something to eat?"

Nathalia replied with a cheerful smile, "No worries, Mr. Clark. I'm feeling good. It's a great party despite whatever happened just then. Actually, I will go and get some food myself. Thank you."

She wasn't saying it to be polite, but actually meant what she said. She went over to the grand long table where various and fantastic food was presented right away. However, there were waiters serving food around, she preferred checking all the options.

However, as she looked at the amazing selection of food, she didn't know what to choose.

"What about some lamb chop? I had some, and it's gorgeous." A clear voice came from behind her. She turned around to see Nate looking at her with a smile.

Nathalia usually did like a lamb, but somehow she didn't feel like it today. "I think I will say no. I don't feel like a lamb today."

Nate stood next to her and looked around the table. "Shall I get you some smoked salmon? It looks great." He was courteous with enthusiasm, but Nathalia took a look at the food and said, "Thanks, but no, not for me." She didn't mean to be rude at all, but simply being honest.

Nate didn't seem to be upset or annoyed. He picked up a plate of scorns of various flavors and asked again, "Scorns? Buttermilk or cinnamon?"

Nathalia shook her head. "No. I don't feel like anything sweet at the moment."

"Hmm..." Nate put the plate down and went on searching as if he was on a mission, and he rather enjoyed it.

Naturally, the most charming young man and the beautiful lady standing together would attract a lot of attention. But they didn't seem to care much that people were looking at them.

Nathalia was obviously more interested in the food than the handsome man next to him. Suddenly, she knitted her brows and wondered. "Aren't you too, hospitable? It's not like you."

Nathalia thought for a little while, then answered, "Very proud. You think you are the smartest person and everyone else is dumb. You enjoy being looked up to, but you do feel lonely sometimes."

It was the common traits that rich and powerful people shared. The more successful they were, the prouder they felt. Some were confident and remained humble, but most became arrogant and even controlling and manipulating.

Nate was smiling and appeared interested as he listened to Nathalia, but when she said the word 'lonely', the smile disappeared on his face. "Why..."

Nathalia cut him short and said, "I was just joking. Don't take it to heart." She moved to the other side of the table as she spotted what she wanted. She grabbed a plate and got herself some Vietnamese rice paper rolls. It was something rather exotic to her, and she remembered trying it at a Vietnamese restaurant and loved it.

Nate watched Nathalia enjoying the food happily and couldn't help thinking how carefree and peculiar she was. She really doesn't see me the way others do. Everyone looks at me and what they see is a treasure box, a bank, a source for money. But with her, despite how hard I have tried, she seems to be more interested in some rice rolls than me!

Nathalia had totally forgotten about him and enjoyed her food quietly. Someone placed a mocktail mojito on the table, and she looked up to see Matt. "Hey, Matt." She greeted me casually.

Matt smiled cheerfully. "Cheers." And he raised up his glass. He had been watching Nathalia and Nate and wasn't surprised by Nathalia's reaction as he knew that she loved one man only, and she remained loyal.

But he would still love to speak to her now and then, and with that, he would be content.

Nathalia was about to take the glass of mocktail when someone suddenly grabbed it. "It looks refreshing." Nate sat down next to Nathalia and had a gulp of the drink.

Matt frowned, displeased, and grew cautious of this sudden invader.

"You are very rude." Nathalia pouted her lips and glared at Nate. How could he just take my drink away without asking?! I really wanted that mocktail then!

Unexpectedly, Nate wasn't annoyed at all. He loved Nathalia's frankness and that she showed how she felt. She was a rare soul to him. He found her naturally attractive, more in her mannerism than her appearance.

Playfully, he took another gulp, shrugged his shoulders, and said, "Am I?" Then he looked at Matt and asked intentionally, "Do you think I'm rude?"

Matt was rather taken aback by his childish behavior. Though he was angry with Nate, he composed himself and said calmly, "You are the guest to Miami after all, Mr. Nate Morgan." Then, he said to Nathalia gently, "Nathalia, shall I get you another one?"

Feeling unjust, Nathalia pouted her lips and said, "I hate it when people take my stuff without asking."
