Nate coughed a little cough, stood up gracefully, and said, "Mr. Curt Davidson, I respect you very much, but no offense, I really like this watch, and I'm afraid I'll have to give it a go. 10 million."

His tone indicated a challenge.

The crowd was rather surprised. Huh. Alright, it is from Mrs. Nathalia Davidson, but what's about this watch? It must be something really special.

Curt lifted his eyebrows and said clearly, "15 million." The crowd gasped in surprise. Now you can tell when one really has money.

"20 million," Nate responded instantly with no intention of backing away.

"25 million."

"30 million."

The two were obviously determined to fight to the end. The atmosphere became intense in the room. The crowd watched curiously with excitement. It wasn't a usual scene in any auction at all.

This is crazy! How much money have they got?! And what's about this watch?!

Though the crowd was very excited, both Nate and Curt seemed very relaxed. They obviously didn't care much about the money. It was merely a number to them.

Nathalia frowned slightly and was wondering what she should do. She had not expected it to come at all. What's this guy doing again?! Why does he have to cause trouble every time? The watch means a lot to dad, but it's nothing to him. What's his intention?

Just as she was wondering, another voice said aloud and clearly, "35 million." Instantly, Nathalia turned to look at Sue, her eyes wide open.

Sue was wearing a determined face of a warrior. The crowd was now even more confused. Even Mrs. Sue Davidson has joined in! This is weird.

Curt frowned, feeling uncertain. Nate took a look at both of them, hesitated a bit, and said, "40 million".

All of a sudden, Nathalia stood up and walked towards the stage while looking at Nate and interrupted him, "Mr. Morgan, you will respect my mother, won't you? I recall clearly how much you enjoyed her company and dinner at our home just recently." She teased mildly, hoping he would get the message and give up.

Nate replied with a smile. "I did, and I would like to invite Mrs. Sue Davidson for dinner very soon, after this auction." He refused to compromise.

Sue rather liked him when he visited, thinking he was very gentlemanly and had a good sense of humor, but now she just thought him very unpleasant. "I'd rather you show respect by letting me have the watch than buying me dinner."

Nate knitted his brows and looked reluctant. "Well, the thing is I really like this..."

Suddenly, Nathalia hit the hammer three times and announced, "The last item is now Mrs. Sue Davidson's. Thank you very much." She grinned happily.

Part of the crowd burst out giggling, finding Nathalia playful and cheeky.

Nathalia chuckled and accepted his criticism openly. "Well, my mum wants the watch, and I just can't help helping my mother. Anyway, you reacted too slow. Also, you are still very welcome to donate money to the foundation. It will help so many kids and homeless people. How beautiful is that?!"

Nate was speechless. This is ridiculous! She's given me no choice at all.

Though Curt was deep in thought, he couldn't help bursting out chuckling as well. "Well, well, well. It's sold. I guess you and I aren't the lucky ones today, Nate."

Nate looked at the three of them, heaved a sigh, and said, "You three are definitely a family team. It's very unfair, I have to say."

Nathalia wasn't bothered about what Nate said or how he thought. She was simply glad that the watch was back to the family. Whether it's dad or mum that has it, it doesn't matter. It means the same.

Just then, her phone rang. It was a strange number, which Nathalia would usually refuse to answer, but somehow this time, as if there was a voice asking her to, she answered it. She passed the microphone to Ben and walked to the side of the stage.

"Hello?"

The news struck her like sudden thunder. She stumbled and held onto a chair next to her subconsciously. "No! I don't believe you." She screamed without knowing that she was screaming.

Everyone was very surprised to see Nathalia so startled. Both Sue and Lisa stood up instantly, watching Nathalia worriedly as they knew very well that Nathalia was someone very calm and could always handle things well. What is it that has shocked her so badly?!

"No! No! I don't believe you! No! It's not true!" She cried out, sounding terrified. Her face went pale. "No! No!" she kept screaming at the phone.

Frightened, Sue rushed up to the stage and hugged her tight, "Nathalia, Nathalia, hush. Calm down. I'm here. Tell me, girl, what happened?"

She was shaking terribly, her eyes wide open yet unfocused. "Mum, Mum. They say, Spencer, Spencer..." Nathalia stuttered, panic written all over her face.

Sue had never seen Nathalia so emotional. Her heart sank, and she felt a shiver down her spine. "What happened to Spencer?" she asked instantly.

"It can't be true. He told me he would come back tomorrow! Why would he be on the plane now? It's impossible. The crash is not true." She muttered emotionally.

She could not understand. He told me tomorrow. Not today. She refused to accept. But the voice kept haunting her, echoing in her mind, driving her insane.

"Crash?! No!" Sue exclaimed. It was a penetrating sound of terror and shock. She fainted. Subconsciously, Nathalia tried to support her, but she was too weak herself, and both collapsed onto the floor.

The crowd gasped. Did Mr. Spencer Davidson had an accident? Plane crash?!

Meanwhile, Curt jumped up and dashed onto the stage, "Sue!"

Nathalia vaguely saw a few people coming over before she lost consciousness. "Nathalia. Nathalia." She could hear someone calling her name worriedly, but it seemed to come from far away.

Everything became chaotic, and in a few minutes, the guests were left in confusion and started talking heatedly.
