"You don't need to know what I did last night. All you need to remember is that you were with me, safe, and you don't know anything else." He assured her.

She looked into his eyes for a few seconds, saw truth and trust in them, and she smiled. She felt safe and protected. It was such a good feeling.

Even if it's just for a short while, it's beautiful, to feel protected.

Then she remembered something, and again she blushed, "Did we, er... did we?" she muttered and couldn't manage to utter the two words.

He embraced her and said assertively, "Don't worry. I'm a responsible man."

It was lunchtime. There was excitement in the air in the offices of the Davidson Group.

The staff was about to leave for lunch when someone shouted, "Hey, check this out. This is shocking."

Before long, a group gathered in front of the screen.

Everyone dropped their jaw, appalled.

"No way!"

"My God! This is big."

"Nathalia Carter found having sex with two men in bed!"

"They even recorded it. This is shocking!"

"Shit! Send me the link!" Someone shouted from the back.

The male spectators didn't blink once, staring at the screen "Wow, nice body. Haha."

"She's got a cute birthmark on her waist. I like it."

"Nice pose. Who are these two lucky guys?"

It was a shame that they couldn't see the faces as it had been edited, and the faces were blurred, but the necklace the girl was wearing gave her away.

Being Spencer Davidson's girlfriend, Nathalia's attire and accessories had been talked of and judged frequently, and everyone recognized the necklace that she never took off.

The female spectators felt a bit awkward watching it, but they were more curious and wouldn't miss a second of details.

"Wait, isn't she our boss's new girlfriend, and aren't they going to get engaged soon? But now..." Someone asked as if he had just suddenly remembered something important."

People understood how fast news like this traveled, especially now that the video clip had been posted on the internet. Who would ever marry her anymore?

"I'm sure they will cancel the engagement. There's no doubt about it. Who will marry a girl like that? I won't. Let alone, Spencer Davidson."

It was true. Most men agreed that having her as a girlfriend could be fun, but not as a wife.

The guys sighed, "Tut, tut, what a shame!"

She's good in bed. Look at that body and her porcelain skin. Her poses. My god, I wish I was one of the guys. Their gazes betrayed their dirty thoughts.

The women sneered. "She's stupid. Spencer Davidson is the best guy. Have you met anyone that's better than him? She must be stupid to cheat on him."

"Nathalia Carter's reputation's totally ruined now. Let's see what's going to happen. Hahaha."

"Yeah. She's done now. I thought she was actually a genuinely good girl. I guess I was wrong."

Most people voiced their criticism, and none was favorable to Nathalia.

"A genuinely good girl? Hahaha. Do you mean a genuinely pretentious girl? She's probably plotted the incident last time."

"Yeah. Very likely. She's so calculating and cunning. She's even tricked, Spencer."

Kelly Rowland was extremely excited.

That's great. I don't even need to do anything, and she's out of the game!

I knew she's not good enough for Spencer. I'm the only one that's perfect for him, the one that's competent enough to be with him.

She heard Spencer's voice from the main office, and she quickly went out to greet him. "Good morning."

"Morning," Spencer replied. To everyone's surprise, Spencer was looking cheerful and upbeat.

Does he have some good news?

That's strange. Doesn't he know his girlfriend cheated on him?

Or he doesn't care?

Kelly took the chance, and she pretended to sound upset and look sympathetic.

"Spencer, I don't want to upset you, but I think it's better, you know. At least it's better that you find out now than later."

"What's the matter?" Spencer frowned.

Kelly hesitated a bit, then pointed to the screen. "It's..."

The crowd quickly scattered away. They knew what their boss was like and was smart enough to know not to get involved.

Spencer didn't even take a look at the screen. He walked straight to his desk, rolled up his sleeves, picked up a folder, and while flipping through the folder, he answered, "What's it about? I have no time for gossips."

Kelly was uncertain. Does he know or not?

But she didn't want to miss such a good opportunity, so she took the laptop and presented it to him. "I didn't think she's like that at all. I hope you are not too upset. She's not worth it."

She had been waiting for this opportunity for a long time. The best time to get close to him is when he feels hurt. I have to show him how sweet and caring I am.

Spencer took a glance at the screen and said indifferently, "True."

Kelly was shocked and confused. That's it?

"Spencer, you are ok?"

He's not supposed to react like this. He should at least show some emotions.

Spencer looked at his watch. Twelve forty-five.

"Tell the staff we will have the meeting now. Rearrange the schedule if necessary. I have to leave work at five o'clock sharp."

His reaction was totally unexpected to Kelly. She dared not say another word but simply consented "Will do." And left quietly, confused.

That's strange. What's going on?

A few of her colleagues that were close to her gathered at her desk to find out more, and Kelly asked their opinions on Spencer's reaction.

One girl exclaimed, "Has he gone mad?"

Spencer isn't someone that ever tolerates being cheated on.

He is proud. His pride is not to be challenged.

Kelly thought of all the possibilities. "Perhaps he has never really had feelings for her."

Another girl questioned, "But what about his pride?"

They looked at each other in assent. Men's pride was very fragile, especially for someone like Spencer.

It was all very confusing. They chatted for a while, and no logical conclusions were achieved.
