Catherine's body temperature wasn't lowered until late in the evening.

Sean had to apply medical lotion on her rashes while Catherine got so hot and kicked the quilt off the bed. She was drenched due to sweating, and he helped her get changed.

David didn't leave. He was worried there might be a change in Catherine's condition. So he stayed until after Catherine's IV transfusion was ended.

He was astounded knowing that Sean helped Catherine get changed and applied medical lotion. Since as early as he could remember, Sean never did anything like that. David then realized Catherine was the perfect match for Sean.

David couldn't help getting nauseous at Catherine's rashes. How could Sean stand up with it? He couldn't believe in his eyes that Sean will be so caring.

"How's Catherine?" asked David.

Sean came out of the bedroom, and David sat up. "My lotion is working?"

"I can't say," Sean said, "It's such a waste of the years you spent at medical school."

"It can't work that fast. For it to work, it takes time. But I guarantee it will work. Maybe the rash will be gone the next day."

David was a known genius back in school. He could grasp so many in so little time and apply it to practice. Then Sean considered him daft. It insults his intelligence.

"It better be."

"Don't worry. I'm not a quack."

Sean said, "Maybe you are."

"If Catherine's fever is gone, I have to go back to sleep."

David yawned. He was so sleepy at the moment.

"Go!"

"Okay."

So Catherine's fever was gone, David thought, he wasn't a quack.

Sean got changed. The bedroom was full of the smell of medicine that he frowned upon.

But Sean had to put up with it since Catherine was sick.

Sean reached out to feel her forehead. It wasn't as burning as before. He lay next to her, held her soft hands, and went to sleep.

Catherine didn't wake up in the morning. Sean did first. The first thing he did was feeling her forehead. He wasn't relieved until making sure her forehead wasn't hot.

Her face wasn't that red either. There was a bright color back to her lips. But her rashes weren't gone.

By the time Catherine woke up, it was noon.

Catherine rubbed her head, which was still in pain, and struggled to sit up. Seeing the IV transfusion rack and medicine on the table, she frowned. As Catherine left the room, he bumped into Susan, who was cleaning up the living room.

"Mrs. Blair? How are you feeling?"Susan asked.

"I'm fine. Where is Sean?" She asked immediately.

"He's downstairs talking to Mr. David."

"Mr. David?"

"He's Mr. Blair's cousin and a doctor. He was treating you last night when you had a fever."

This barely rang a bell in Catherine's mind. But it would explain she slept till noon the next day and feeling sore all over her body. She thought it was because she slept too much.

"I'll go down and look," Catherine said.

"And Miss Blair is here too."

Catherine stopped walking and wondered why Iris was there.

Iris never came here since she was reborn three months before. Catherine thought it was because she had nothing to say to Sean, and she didn't like her. But she came. It was strange.

Instead of coming downstairs, Catherine hid behind the pillar in the stairway and listened to their conversation.

"David, what are you doing here? Is Sean sick?" asked Iris.

A voice new to Catherine's ears said, "I'm here to visit Sean. Nice to meet you here, Iris. Don't you have to go to classes?"

"I don't have any this afternoon."

"Why don't you go home?"

"I miss Sean."

"Sure. Whatever you say." David said. He was used to the patronizing way Iris talked. Iris was the only girl in Blair's family and was the apple of the eye. So they said yes to whatever she said, which spoiled her.

"David, don't you have to go to work?" asked Iris.

"I'll go in the afternoon."

"Why didn't I see Catherine?" asked Iris.

Sean didn't answer. His look was cold.

"I heard Catherine asked for sick leave. David, are you here for her?"

Iris wasn't good at hiding her true intentions. She came for Catherine. Catherine thought of her face and Pearl and knew everything.

David said, "Why do you think so? Can't I be here for Sean?"

"Of course you can. I'm just asking."

"But Sean, earlier you told me Catherine was sick. Is it true?"

Sean said calmly, "It's a cold."

"Do you want me to buy some medicine?"

"It's okay. We have common medicine in the house."

Catherine found Sean and David interesting. They knew what she was sick about, but they wouldn't tell Iris the truth. They cooperated with each other very well.

Catherine was certain Iris came here to ask about her situation. Maybe she would take a picture of her face and sent it online, so everyone would know what Miss Gorgeous really looked like.

What Iris failed to see was that the more curious Iris was, the more certain Catherine Pearl was behind her pollen allergy.

Catherine wondered that Pearl took the most use of Iris, and she didn't even know.

Iris said, "Sean, could I go upstairs to see Catherine?"

Sean said coldly, "She's sleeping. I don't want her to be disturbed."

"I'm just taking one look. I won't upset her."

Iris wouldn't quit until she saw Catherine's rashes.

"Since when do you care so much about Catherine?"

Everyone knew her tension with Catherine.

"We're a family."

"How do you know she's sick?" asked Sean.

"I went to see the dean, and Catherine's counselor was there. Her friend came in to ask for leave, and I asked about it."

Sean said, "It's none of your business. Go back."

"But..."

David said, "Sean, I should go too. I have a patient appointment this afternoon. Come on, Iris, I'll give you a lift."

Iris was asked to leave before she could see Catherine's face.
