Sean rushed to go upstairs since Susan told him Catherine woke up. They met at the stairwell.

"Both are left?" asked Catherine.

"Yeah."

"Why was Iris here?"

Sean's look got gloomy at how Iris sounded out Catherine's situation. Sean said, "How are you feeling?"

"I'm better now. Susan said I had a fever last night."

Sean touched her forehead. His hands were slightly cold. He said, "You don't have a fever anymore."

"Did you look after me all night?" asked Catherine.

Susan told Catherine David arrived at about 1 in the morning. She had a serious fever. Sean fed her medicine and helped with the IV transfusion. Her fever wasn't gone until after four.

"I'm glad you're okay now."

Seeing the dark circles underneath Sean's eyes, Catherine felt touched. He mentioned nothing about how tired, and his look didn't get better until after knowing she was better.

"I feel so much better. And my rash is mostly gone."

"Yes, it is."

Catherine's face wasn't that red, and the rash got smaller. Sean had to say David did know what he was doing, which earned him the valedictorian at his graduation.

"Thanks to you and your cousin."

"I had a feast of the eye too."

Sean looked at Catherine frivolously with an interesting smile.

Catherine knew it must be Sean who changed her clothes. So he must see everything. Catherine couldn't help getting embarrassed and blushed.

"What's with the flush? Don't you want me to see it?"

Catherine said, "As long as you don't find me ugly."

"It is a bit ugly." Then Sean approached Catherine and whispered, "But I like it. It's ugly in a beautiful way."

Catherine turned away and said, "I'm hungry."

"Me too."

Catherine left, "I have to wash up."

Sean looked at Catherine's figure. The thought that his own sister helped Pearl set Catherine up made him look worse.

Iris didn't know Karl was in the hospital until Pearl phoned her. She hurried over there.

As it happened, it was the hospital David worked.

Pearl hurried to the hospital, getting a call from her mother this morning. She almost lost her balance knowing the truth since she couldn't believe it.

She wondered that someone must have plotted the attack against Taylor Inwood. And somehow, Sean's name crossed her mind. Would it be him? Pearl wondered. Did Sean do it for Catherine, which caused her father to be hospitalized?

But Pearl questioned the possibility. Catherine couldn't know it was her. Besides, she didn't have the allergy days after. They wouldn't blame her. But Pearl didn't know Sean had evidence against what she thought.

Sean wouldn't strike any attacks on Pearl's family business on the surface. But under the table, he planned to break Taylor Inwood apart with scheming tricks.

"Pearl, bad news."

"What is it?"

"Our computer system was hacked and came down with the virus. Our drafts for this fall, winter, and next spring were all gone. Our warehouse was torched last night. All our lines waiting to be on display are destroyed."

Dora, Pearl's mother, kept going, "Your dad passed out under pressure. Luckily, we got him to the hospital in time, or..."

"How could this happen?" asked Pearl.

Taylor Inwood was busy with the fall/winter collection. The display was scheduled for the day after tomorrow. Besides, there were contracts. Once the collection was on display, it would be sold. Now their warehouse was ruined. How could they make it in two days?

Pearl's look got pale as she analyzed. Besides, they would suffer a lot of loss since all the drafts were gone too. They were the soul of design. Without them, they couldn't make any decent clothes. No wonder her father was crushed.

Pearl has seen the drafts. They were stunning. She was sure they would take Taylor Inwood to the next level. A bright future was ahead. But everything was gone.

"What should we do, Pearl?" asked Dora crying.

Pearl was in a panic too. Even if they went to the police, it wouldn't help. They couldn't deliver any goods. What should they do?

"I've called your brother back. Pearl, why don't we go to Blair family? Sean might help us out since we're family friends."

Dora and Vivian were close friends growing up. She thought Vivian would help them out.

"Mom, hold that thought. I have to find out what's going on now."

Pearl stopped Dora because she was guilty. If she was the reason that caused the sudden tragedy in her family, there was no way she could go to Sean. Sean would despise her more.

But the time was ticking. They couldn't make orders in two days. Besides, all their draft was gone. They had no alternatives left.

Whoever attacked Taylor Inwood was out destroying it.

Iris rushed to the hospital and got a general idea. She volunteered to ask for Sean's help and was stopped.

"Pearl, I failed to do what you asked me," Iris said.

"You didn't see Catherine with your own eyes?"

"Sean kicked me out before I could."

David was determined to take Iris to leave with him. Besides, it was Sean's mansion. He had the right to ask her to leave or not.

"Pearl, is there anything I can do?"

Pearl was a mess, "You go back. I have to see my dad."

Pearl's eyelids couldn't stop flickering. She was so antsy. If she couldn't see Catherine, she couldn't be more what she was thinking.

On that night, Pearl got a phone from her teacher. Her display dress was gone.

Pearl almost stumbled over and fell. How could it be? Unless someone stole it to find evidence.

She should've tossed the dress instead of giving it to her teacher. She thought it was a better thing to do. She wouldn't be suspected.

But Sean was so smart and acted so quickly. He must realize there could be remaining pollen on the dress.

The dress was lost last night. Then there was the business with Taylor Inwood.

Pearl was sure Sean was behind it.

Pearl laughed out so hard. At least she was certain Catherine was pretty sick, or he wouldn't be so mad.

So did she win or lose?
