Catherine turned around and looked at Sean, "What is he thinking? He wears a dull expression."

"Alas. It is not a big deal, just some memories." Catherine thought to herself, and then she put the hair clip back.

Sean suddenly asked in a low voice, "When did you recover?"

"I can't remember how many days passed. I only remember that I felt uncomfortable, and Maria told me that I had a fever because of the cold water."

Even if Sean tried to know everything about Catherine, he didn't know about it at all.

"Later, I decided to learn how to swim, but I gave it up a few days later. I was probably afraid of water because of the accident.

Actually, Catherine jumped into the lake in Clara's house because she knew the lotus pond wasn't deep, and Sean must come to save her.

"Why did you fall into the water? How old were you then?"

"I guess six years old. I remember I got into the water to save a handsome boy who was a little older than me."

Sean's heartbeat went faster. He held Catherine's hands and asked, "A handsome boy?"

"Yes. The boy is pretty and a head taller than me. He had white, fair skin and big eyes. And he looks more beautiful than girls when he smiles."

Sean was unhappy.

Sean knew he looked pretty when he was a little boy, but he didn't like anyone to praise her for his beautiful face in comparison with girls.

"You are so young, and you can't swim. Why did you fall into the water to save others? Don't you fear death?"

Catherine smiled, "I don't know. I saw him floating in the water up and down, and I am afraid that he would have died, so I jumped."

"Silly girl. Probably he can swim."

"I didn't think about it. I was just a little girl."

"Can you remember what happened later?"

"No. I remember nothing. Maria told me that I was faint when she found me. Since a lot of water fell into my belly, I almost drowned. For that, Maria cried a lot, and my dad scolded me."

Sean had mixed feelings. He trembled and touched her hair.

"How can you know the boy in the water is that handsome boy?"

"I met the handsome boy before, so I recognized him and wanted to save him."

Sean suddenly realized everything and thought to himself, "Well, that explains it. She still has old memories, and she remembers me."

"So, have you seen him later?"

"No. Never," said Catherine. She was confused and turned to look at Sean, "Why are you interested in it?"

"I want to know about your childhood."

Catherine felt a little bit disappointed and said, "Alas, how about the little boy? He was so pretty when he was young. When he grows up, he must be more attractive. Many girls will love him."

Sean twitched his mouth and said, "Probably, he has been looking for you."

"Who knows. I think it is impossible. It is not a big deal. He probably forgot it."

Actually, Sean always kept it in his mind.

"If you have a chance to see him, can you recognize him?"

"I don't know. Probably the boy changed a lot. Maybe an ugly man."

Sean was speechless and thought to himself, "She just said I was pretty when I was young."

"No one can make sure that every pretty boy can be a handsome man though it is a low probability event."

Sean touched his face and thought to himself, "I haven't changed a lot. Why can't she recognize me? Probably she forgot me. Bad girl."

"I can't remember him. Probably, I can't recognize him even if he is standing in front of me. I almost forgot about it. The hair clip brings back my memories," said Catherine.

"Why do I say it to him? I don't have to say it," Catherine thought to herself.

"It is time to take a shower. We need to have breakfast with grandma later," added Catherine.

Sean looked at the mirror carefully and thought to himself, "I do change a lot. Catherine grew up, and she is still with me. That's good."

Sean's family members loved to be together. As long as Sean was home, he would have breakfast with his family members.

It was Sunday, and Iris was there too.

Iris looked sad because of Pearl. She was angry at Catherine and treated her badly.

Catherine didn't care about it. In her eyes, Iris was just like an angry baby.

"I just heard that you have the same major as Pearl. What a coincidence!" said Vivian.

And then Vivian added coldly and calmly, "Both of our families do some clothing businesses. Pearl's father still runs his company very well, but your company is in the blink of bankruptcy. You have to turn to ask for help now."

Vivian was unhappy when she knew Sean invested one billion in Catherine's company. She didn't want to help Catherine. She only wanted to help Pearl's family.

Vivian helped Pearl when she was in need.

"You are right, Mother Vivian. Since the company is in the blink of bankruptcy, we don't have to help the company. Sean, can we give it up?" Catherine satirized.

"Okay."

Vivian was angry.

"Pearl's family is in the blink of bankruptcy, and we don't have to invest more money to save it. Mother, you are right. We should be careful. I agree with you," said Catherine.

Amanda tried to control herself. She lowered her head and continued to feed her son.

Vivian treated Amanda badly, so Amanda was so happy when she heard that.

Sean peeled an egg and put it in Catherine's bowl, "Cathy, you are good, and you really take care of the mother."

"Of course. we should respect elders."

Vivian was furious and thought to herself, "Take care of me? She is mocking me."

"We should help Pearl's family. We helped Catherine's family. Why not help Pearl's family?"

"Okay. It all depends on you," said Catherine. She just acted like an obedient daughter-in-law.

Vivian felt better when she heard it.

"Leave the businesses to Sean, mother. You don't know about it at all. If you are free, you can go shopping with your friends or play cards. Enjoy your life as a rich lady," said Antonio peacefully.

"Why do you treat me badly?"

"What are you talking about, mom? It is good for you."

Antonio knew Sean must be furious if Vivian sent him over the edge.

Vivian knew Antonio, and Sean disliked her. She thought to herself, "Why? They are my son. Why not love me? Thank god. Iris is nice to me."

"All right. Let's have breakfast," said the grandma.
