Yeah, Corrine was old. She began to hope to get her grandson's love and concern. Thinking about that, she lowered her head and looked down.

Just then, the door was pushed open. Looking at the awakened Corrine, Angelo gave a wry smile and hurriedly hid the blanket behind.

"Oh, you're awake, grandma."

Corrine had already seen the blanket. She stayed at first but then was touched. But she suppressed her smile and pretended to be serious, "What are you holding? Show it to me."

Hearing that, Angelo walked to Corrine and showed the blanket to her. When she saw the look on Corrine, she scratched her head and felt embarrassed. She wanted to give this old lady the blanket.

"Why don't you bring my blanket? I can't cover this."

There was criticism in the tone. Angelo thought she might have done something wrong. Finally, she forced a smile and said, "I'll change one, grandma."

With that, she was about to leave with the blanket, but Corrine didn't let it go. She raised to look at Corrine confusedly.

Seeing the confusion in Angelo's eyes, Corrine looked away and looked awkward.

"Only for this time," she said.

Hearing that, Angelo released the blanket and covered her mouth to stop the laughter. Now she learned the arrogance of Corrine.

"Yeah. I'll take a blanket from your room next time, grandma. Drake has sent someone to ask me to check the resort's operation, and I have to leave now. I can't let my brother be upset. He had given me this rare opportunity to learn new things, and I should be serious on it,"

Corrine nodded. Angelo then trotted out of the room.

Touching the blanket, Corrine couldn't help smiling. It seemed to be a good thing to have a grandson like Angelo, she thought.

Angelo went to Drake immediately.

"Sorry, I'm late, Drake."

Angelo trotted to Drake when she saw him standing there waiting for her. She clutched her c.h.e.s.t and gasped. Subconsciously, she looked at Drake.

She knew he hated others being late. Once a chief executive officer was late for the meeting with him, he would tear the contract apart.

The more Angelo thought, the more scared she was. But to her surprise, Drake was still bearing the usual serious face and didn't look angry.

"All right," said Drake and walked forward.

Hurriedly, Angelo trotted along and walked beside him.

After observing his face for a while, Angelo finally feels at rest. In rejoice, she sighed that the gossip about Drake wasn't true.

But what she didn't know was that Drake had already known the blanket thing from an employee here. That was the reason why he wasn't angry with her for being late.

"Here is a small park for guests who keep dogs. Here, dogs can run around. And there is some staff regularly cleaning up after the dogs."

Hearing "dogs," Angelo couldn't help but shrink. Her face changed as soon as she listened to the word.

Looking at Angelo like this, the man smiled lamely. Though everyone here knew that Angelo was afraid of dogs, he didn't expect that she was scared even just hearing the word "dogs."

Sensing the nervousness of Angelo, Drake frowned and slightly walked away.

"Let's go to other places. We still have many things to do,"

When she heard that, lights appeared in Angelo's eyes, and she raised to look at Drake and thought that he was indeed her savior.

"Woof! Woof!"

Just then, the barks of the dogs sounded. Hearing that, Angelo couldn't help opening her eyes big. Then a dog jumped at her.

"Help, brother, help!"

Angelo fell on the ground and then covered her face with her hands. She screamed for Drake's name with fear full of her face.

Hearing the scream, the dog was more excited. When he was about to lick Angelo's face, "Back off," Drake ordered.

Hearing the order, the dog lowered his head and whimpered in a low voice, and turned to look at Drake.

"Back off," repeated Drake.

Reluctantly, the dog stepped back a few paces. Then, a worker came to take the dog away.

"Help me, Drake."

Angelo was surprised that the dog followed Drake's order. Hurriedly, she stood up and hugged Drake but kept staring at the dog.

Occasionally, the dog turned to look at her, and she just trembled.

Feeling the weakness of this "young man," Drake just wanted to protect "him." His breath came a little short.

As he realized his thought, he came to himself and clenched his fists.

By then, the dog was already out of sight. Angelo breathed a sigh of relief and then realized that something was wrong.

"I didn't mean it. I was just too scared."

With that, Angelo released her arms off Drake with fear in her eyes. She knew that Drake didn't like body touching.

Looking at the young man who was explaining anxiously, Drake swallowed, and his eyes darken. But soon, he realized his change and got upset.

He gave a stern look at the employee, who shuddered. Knowing the temper of Drake, the employee hurried to explain, "I'm sorry, Mr. Thorne. I didn't know the dog was here. It was my negligence. Please give me a chance. I really don't know this would scare Angelo,"

The employee apologized sincerely, and sweat appeared on his forehead. He looked cautiously at Drake with guilty in his heart.

Angelo didn't notice the unusualness of the employee. Seeing the man looking like that, she felt very sympathetic. While she was thinking about how to talk for him, "Go get your salary and leave here now," Drake said.

Hearing that, the employee regretted and hurriedly interceded with Drake, "Please, Mr. Thorne. I didn't know anything about the dog. Please, I have a big family to support. They all live on me."

He arranged all these to see whether Angelo was indeed afraid of dogs or not, but he so regretted what he had done. He couldn't change anything, and he could only pretend that he didn't know anything and hoped that Drake would believe him and forgive him.
