The shareholders looked at each other to see if others also realized how clever Nathalia was. And the answer was positive. She's just like her grandfather. Smart and sharp.

Frank could feel his whole body boiling with anger. Little devil! Just like my wife said, she doesn't have a heart. I've raised her up, and now what is she doing to me?!

He would not give his shares away. That was certain. "Nathalia, do you know what happens if you go against me?" He threatened.

The angrier he showed, the sweeter Nathalia's smile grew. "Please, do tell." It's not a difficult job to get you angry, is it? I'm glad I make an effort to get here. It's fun to watch.

Frank wished he could slap that smile off her face. He glared and yelled at her, "I will announce to the public that you are no longer my daughter, you are kicked out of the Carter's family, and you won't get a cent from me. You will be the disgraceful daughter, abandoned, scorned."

He grew more and more excited as he yelled. He was almost hysterical. The shareholders listened and shook their heads slightly. I have seen some families fight because of money, but this is unusual. Frank Carter is on a completely different level.

To Nathalia, it wasn't threatening at all. She felt no fear.

"Is that it?" She lifted her chin up and looked at Frank. "Well, I have 5% now, plus what my grandpa left for me. Do you think I will need anything from you? You can save them for Zack and Evette. I don't want anything from you. Whether people see me as a disgrace or not, I don't care. Don't you remember? You have taught me that money talks. As long as I have money, there's a solution. Right, Dad?"

Frank felt like he had punched a sandbag, and it swung back and threw him a harder punch. The shareholders sneered silently. It's the first time I've seen Frank Carter defeated, speechless. Hahaha. This is great.

Money does talk. Being someone with millions of dollars surely feels different. Nathalia hadn't finished yet. She paused for a few seconds, then added, "However, it's a shame."

Nicolas Ford was truly impressed by Nathalia. This young girl is incredibly smart.

"What's a shame?" He couldn't help asking.

Nathalia sneered and sighed a little sigh, "It's a shame that the Carter's won't last to the third generation. It's a big company, but it's not going to last."

It dawned on the audience that it was true. Nathalia's grandfather started the Carter's company, and later Frank Carter took over. He had been managing it very well like father, like son. The Carter's had grown. However, if Zack, the only son in the family now, took over, it was not difficult to predict the future.

Frank felt the most insecure and enraged. "Nathalia! What bullshit are you talking about?!" His voice quivered.

It has just started. There are better days to come. Nathalia thought, delighted.

She glanced around the room, looked at each shareholder, and said, "Some people don't like to hear the truth. But the truth is the truth. Anyway, I believe that whoever is capable has the right to take over the company. I mean, everyone present here."

She paused intentionally, scanned everyone's face again, and continued, "If you are capable, lead."

Anyone?

Does she mean that the Carter's doesn't need to be owned by a Carter?

Does she want to betray the Carter's?

For the first time, Richard took a good look at Nathalia. He could tell that she meant what she said. "Miss Carter, what about you? Don't you want to take over the Carter's?" He asked tentatively.

What does she want?

Power? Money? To be in charge? If she doesn't care if others take over, I don't think she is looking for power or money.

Nathalia smiled and said plainly, "Too much responsibility for me. I'm not capable of taking that."

Then silence fell. The audience was waiting for the message to sink in.

Frank panicked as if things had gone out of his control, and he was going to lose everything.

His head was spinning. He had to think, to regain control. He had worked so hard to get here, and he would not allow anyone to take it away from him.

"Nathalia, don't forget you are part of the Carter's."

Nathalia reacted as if she was surprised. She looked at Frank with her eyes wide open and said, "but didn't you just say that I'm kicked out of the family, and I'm no longer your daughter?"

Frank was shivering with fury. Nathalia paid him no attention. She turned around and beckoned Sean Rushton. "Mr. Rushton, can you, please?"

Sean looked at her, nodded.

"My client requests to have her 10% of the shares back. Mr. Carter, you have ten days to deal with it."

Frank was taken aback. "She's still young, and she doesn't understand. I'm her father, and I shall take care of it..." His words were unconvincing, but he just would not give in. It's mine. It's mine. It's MINE! No one can take it away from me.

He needed 10% to keep his position as the chairman safe.

The shareholders looked at each other, understandingly. They had made an agreement simply by exchanging looks.

Everyone remembered the promise Nathalia requested him to make, and he did in front of the media.

Sean was prepared. He said in a determined tone, "My client is an adult. She has the right and ability to take care of her own property. Don't you worry too much, Mr. Carter."

"Shut up." Frank snapped. Then he stared at Nathalia threateningly, "Nathalia, tell me, are you really taking the 10% back?" He was nervous. He was panicking.
