Ting Ting

Suddenly Auntie began hitting her wine glass with a metal spoon, gathering our attention.

Lucy stood beside her with a large smile.

"Your training is up… You girls can finally leave this place," Auntie says with a smile.

But silence befell the room.

Everybody but myself started to leak tears from their left eye for some reason.

It was probably due to their hivemind, as most of them seemed unaware that they were crying.

"Yes, yes… Now let's let Sophia open her presents, and then we'll all pack," Auntie continues with a large smile.

Right next to her, Lucy had a giant smile, but her eyes were leaking tears, a contradictory sight.

I began to open my presents once everybody had gathered themselves and the surge of happiness was still there.

A new tablet, some new clothes, and a grimoire which didn't really do anything.

It was something to put on a shelf as it looked phenomenal, but grimoires aren't really a thing as of now since nobody can get them to work… but once they do, mages will be unstoppable.

"Thank you!" I shout, hugging everybody around me.

It's cold… yet warm at the same time.

I then moved on to Auntie, which I squeezed tightly.

"Ow! Okay, okay! Stop! You're hurting me!"

"Never!" I shout, hugging her even tighter.

Then steam came out of her mouth, so I stepped back slightly.

Everybody laughed as Auntie regained consciousness and coughed up a bit of blood.

"God damn, you're strong," Auntie says, on her hands and knees trying to suck in as much air as possible.

Everybody continued to laugh, but we all knew she was dramatizing this on purpose… as she loved seeing us happy.

…

"Alright girls, are you ready?" Mom asks as a breeze of wind swept up around us.

We all nodded in agreement.

Finally… We can finally leave this place and be free…

The cold breeze of wind suddenly turned into a blizzard that began to frost over our entire room, but we didn't worry as we knew Auntie could handle this… I think.

Fwoosh

When the blizzard finally disappeared, we had reappeared next to a large city, almost as compacted as New York.

The buildings were taller, larger, grander, and just overall better.

It was the same with the rest of the city, everything seemed much cleaner, neater, and an overarching cyberpunk feel came from it.

It was night, so the neon blue and purple lights really stood out.

"Welcome to the new country of Gloxos," Mom says.

Huh? A new country? I've never heard of a new country is made.

"It was made during the time of your training,"

"Huh!?" We all shout unanimously.

Was a country actually made in only four years? Four years?!

"Okay, well, let's make our way to the university you all will be staying at," Mom says, and we froze in place.

"What do you mean by that?" Aria asks.

"I mean, you'll be staying under the care of a university… Also, I'll be reactivating your bank accounts, so feel free to spend as you wish… but remember I won't be giving you an allowance, so either leach off of Ethel or get a job of your own," Mom says before we walk towards the city entrance.

For a quick second, I got a glimpse of behind us and noticed the,

"Slums," I mutter before snapping my head back around.

"Ah, now we have tri-citizenship," Clio says to Celestine.

"Oh yeah, that's pretty cool. Also, why is it so easy to get citizenship here? It took like five years for Egypt, but that was with a hefty amount of bribes," Celestine responds.

Ah, that's right, I forgot most of their family is from Egypt.

"That's cause this country is newly made, and they made their cities a bit too big, so they are having trouble filling up the place," Mom replies.

Another few hours passed, and we finally made our way in.

Strangely, Mom didn't use the black card that she used at the teleportation city a few years back, so I ȧssumed it had some limitations.

"Oh yeah, it does seem a bit empty… why was this country made again?" I ask as I have a good feeling about this place.

"It was to stop a recurring conflict between Russia and the rest of Europe. It was also made by a few trillionaires who not only were paid by the United Nations, but also saw potential in the land due to its untouched resources,"

That's hard to believe… Untouched resources… What a bunch of bullshit. There's no way any resources in this world have been untouched as of now… There must be something else.

"I smell profit," Ethel mutters, and I nodded in agreement.

'Let's test out our range of power and if we're strong enough, let's have a talk with those trillionaires,' I inform the other girls through the hivemind.

Everybody nodded in agreement.

Sophia was left out as she isn't part of Tolf but one of our friends… In fact, she might be a little sister to all of us, so we want to keep her out of danger.

After a few hours of strolling towards the center of the cyberpunk-themed city, we ran into more and more citizens, even to the point of it being more densely populated than New York.

And it was for a good reason, too, as we looked at the large campus that didn't stroll away from the cyberpunk theme.

All the buildings were still tall and slim, but they were more spaced out than the buildings outside the campus.

"Okay, I got a few friends here, so this should go smoothly,"

…

It, in fact, did not go smoothly as her friends were nowhere to be seen, so after a few long and boring hours, we had finally been accepted into the university.

She didn't want us to draw much attention, but that was already thrown out the window.

It didn't make me long to figure out why Mom was doing all this but I didn't tell the other clueless girls as I didn't want to make them paranoid.

"Okay, I'll see you to your dorm rooms, and then we'll say goodbye," Mom says.

We quickly arrived at our dorm rooms which were pretty spacious, but nothing like the hotel we stayed at in the teleportation city.

A computer on a large desk, a large bed, and a spacious room.

There was no room service as the campus was filled with restaurants and a cafeteria where some of the not-so-privileged students could eat for cheap.

"*sigh*... It's three in the morning… and I have to get up at eight for my first class… Maybe that's why we were supposed to leave yesterday," I mutter to myself as I lay down on my bed, with my onesie on.

Mia had already gone to sleep in her room so I kept my eyes closed until I fell asleep.
