"Look, all we did was take care of a few ȧssassins who came through a massive hole in the roof. The explosion didn't make any noise, so I was a bit surprised upon seeing the massive hole in the roof," I inform the man before walking away.

"Thank you!" He replies gleefully as we make our way back to our dorm room.

He didn't even try to stop us…

…

A few days have passed, and nothing much has happened, really.

We went to school, had a few meetings, raided a few dungeons, but nothing else related to that ȧssassination incident happened.

But, I got a bit curious… so I went back.

"Yo," I say to the man with a black mask as I enter the grand room.

The same lady from before closed the doors behind me as if she were letting me into the cave of a wild beast.

"Welcome back. I saw your email," The man says, turning around in his chair dramatically once again.

"But… I'd like to ask… How did you get my personal email?" He asks and the pressure around his light-hearted aura, suddenly increased tenfold.

The pressure might've been on par with mine.

"Oh, an S-rank. And also, you don't need to know," I muttered before pulling out my phone and showing him a few articles that I found on the internet.

"What are you showing me these for?"

"To see if my hypothesis is correct… Let me ask you a few questions,"

The pressure surrounding the man then evaporated into thin air.

"Oh, is that why you came here?! Then please, lay everything out,"

"Okay… Well, let me ask you first… Do you know the name of the organization that is terrorizing the world?" I ask.

After researching a bit on the incident, I realized similar terrorist attacks were happening all around the world. No country or continent was safe…

"I don't,"

"Well, do you know that they are doing human experiments?"

Suddenly, the man flinched, and even though he had a mask covering his face, I could see his eyes squint under the abyss that coated his expression.

"Is what you're saying true?"

"Of course. Look,"

I scroll to the next article, which was on the incident that happened before we went on our 4-year training spree in our base in Iceland.

It was when the girls had just been attacked by the organization targeting me… and Mom made a public statement that if they ever so as much laid a hand on our heads, she would personally destroy them.

"Ah, that does make sense actually… It seems you've also figured out the objective," The man says as he gets up from his chair before clicking a buŧŧon on his desk.

A large holographic screen appeared on the blank canvas of a wall beside me, revealing a document that seemed to be from the government.

"What the hell… Where'd you find this? And why are you showing this to me?"

The document before me had so much important information that I couldn't comprehend why he'd show this to me.

With this information, we could completely expose the organization and government… but also, we could destroy the world.

But there was one problem… how credible was this source?

"How am I supposed to believe this is real?"

"Well, we ourselves still don't know if it is real, and the reason why I'm showing it to you is a type of insurance,"

"Insurance?"

"Yep. Now you know classified information, meaning we have to keep an eye on you at all times… plus, your little friends,"

I guess that was a pretty smart move.

"That's cool," I reply with a smile.

"Hmmmmm… Okay, well, it wasn't meant to harm you but just make sure you help us when the time is needed,"

"Wait, don't tell me you're actually using unverified information to create a plan that could potentially destroy the world?"

"There are a few more documents, but I won't be showing them," The man replies before switching off the hologram and sitting back in his chair.

We sat there silently for a while until I asked my final question…

"What was the real reason for creating this country? I doubt it was used to farm a 'ton of precious materials,' and I doubt it is used as a barrier to prevent war,"

"Why do you say that?"

He looked unwavering, but I could sense a crack in his shell.

"The United Nations will take care of the war even if it means sacrificing the lives of millions… They can just be replaced in a few days. So, am I wrong?"

"*sigh*... No. No, you're not wrong," The man sighs in response.

"So tell me the real objective because even if you have this noose tied around my neck… I have this sharp dagger ready to cut it,"

The man sat in his chair, staring at my unwavering attitude.

"Fine. It seems you have some dirt on us, and you don't seem dumb enough to take us to court… So I guess I'll tell… The Monster Paradise has spread… Way beyond its borders,"

A bomb was dropped in the room.

Not a physical one, but a verbal one.

"Y-you're kidding, right?"

My unwavering attitude cracked upon hearing his words.

"Nope. Cults have been found all across the world, and the top three cults that we ȧssume worship them are Tolf, Seventh Ring, and Terata Ypogachtia,"

Tolf? Seriously? All we've done in these past four years is trying to destroy the remnants of the fallen Write family… Well, not us but the commanders and their subordinates.

"Also, isn't that last one, greek?"

"Yep," He replies.

"This is troublesome," I muttered.

"Indeed. Also, you understood what I really meant by when I said it 'expanded,' right?"

"Yeah. The monster didn't leave their kingdom, but their influence has spread to the humans. And those humans probably worship them as saviors or something… *sigh*... Well, it was nice talking to you,"

"Yep, see you around… Which will be very soon,"

I rolled my eyes upon hearing his final words as I left the massive room.

Very soon...

I was then escorted out of the building, where I quickly made my way back to campus as the sun began to rise.

But, I couldn't hold back the smile after hearing so much juicy information.

"That was too easy to gain," I muttered.

Mostly everything I had done was an act to let the man drop his guard so he could trust me just a bit more.

I had no dirt on them, and my wavering attitude was fake.

I already had a guess that they expanded outside of their territory.

I mean, it was common sense. Of course, they'd want to expand onto new land, especially when their fertility rate is about three times higher than the average human... But, they have to start secretly; otherwise, they will be wiped out completely with one slip up.

"I guess I'm becoming a bit more like Mom,"

(Unknown POV)

A woman sat in her room, tapping a pencil against her lips as she watched… a ŀėwd film in front of her.

Two women were going at it with one completely dominating the other but the bottom was thoroughly enjoying it.

"I see… I see… So that's how you do that. I also need this… And this… Okay, Lucy, I hope you'll enjoy tonight," The woman mutters before shutting off her computer and using magic on herself that changed her appearance.

Red hair and beautiful red eyes shone brightly like an untouchable flame.

The day went by quickly for her as she bought everything needed in between classes and set up everything in her room…

The sun quickly fell once the woman had finished, and her eyes glowed a dim purple as she went to go find her partner.
