Chapter 167: Two Of The Twelve (Charlotte POV)

All of a sudden, the door slightly opened and I came tumbling into the room, feeling a pressure weigh at my neck.
It felt like a top predator in the food chain was pressing its claw against me, who was just a tiny little rabbit.
No, this isn't human… This is a monster… No, a dragon. This is a dragon.
"It's a pleasure to meet you… Little lady,"
Little lady? There is only one person who calls me little lady out of everybody that I know in my life… and she is one of the leaders of Tolf.
"Miss Nell?" I ask as I glanced up at the woman who absorbed her bloodthirsty aura back into her body at an incredible speed.
But, the woman didn't give me a verbal response but instead a warm smile that was inviting.
My body moved on its own as I kneeled on one knee and bowed my head deeply, completely calming my nerves in order to make the best impression possible, for one of my idols.
"No need to kneel," Miss Nell's voice calls out to me so I immediately stand up straight like a toothpick, ready to receive any of her orders.
All of a sudden, I felt two hands wrap around my shoulders and a voice whispered into my ear,
"Don't be so tense. We won't bite,"
The voice was chilling yet familiar as if I've already heard talked to her multiple times… and this elusive aura which I am unable to keep up with.
"Please correct me if I'm wrong, but are you Miss Chun-Hei?" I asked and the hands wrapped around my neck slowly retreated and the woman behind me slithered in front of me.
"Hallo," She says and her pale gray pupils sent a chill down my spine.
"It is an honor to meet you Miss Chun-Hei. Please tell me if there is anything you would like me to do. That also includes Miss Nell. Please inform of anything you would like," I said humbly as I still wanted to create my best impression.
Both of the women chuckled before glancing over at Sophia who was continuing with her stacks upon stacks of paperwork.
"Is my cute little sister sad that Astra isn't here~? Is that why you're sulking so much in front of your big sisters~," Miss Chun-Hei says as she circles around Sophia's chair and hugs her from behind.
Rudely, she quickly rips her hands off and pushes her away, causing Miss Chun-Hei's smile to widen ever farther.
"W-What are you even here for?" Sophia asks, blushing in embarrassment.
What the hell…? She can act like this? I've never seen this before… I guess the leaders really are different beings.
"We came to check back on you as we have absorbed a few organizations under our wing," Miss Nell says though her words were a bit strange.
Absorbing under their wing? Strange choice of words… if I must say…
"In Egypt?" I asked as I knew that they've been in Egypt, but I thought they went there to go defeat some monster that they'd had their eyes on.
"Indeed," Miss Nell confirms before prancing over to me and wrapping her arms around me from behind.
I couldn't help but blush in embarrassment as my idol was actually hugging me so tightly and I could feel her breath brushing against the back of my neck.
"I-I love you!" I accidentally blurt out in the heat of the moment and after realizing what I had done, I couldn't help my blush from deepening even further.
I could hear Miss Nell chuckle from behind me before whispering back into my ear.
"Do you really love me?" She asks in such a sweet voice you'd think her throat was coated in honey.
"Y-Yes!"
"Oh my… Well, I don't mean to rain on your parade, but you just admire me. There's a difference between admiration and love so make sure to separate them otherwise if this happened with any of the other girls… you might've died," Miss Nell whispered back into my ear.
Her words were chilling this time and the only way I could respond was by violently shaking my head up and down.
"Good, now go get us a few coffees. We'll also need your help with officially putting these pieces of shit under our control,"
Miss Nell's arms unwrap from around me and I couldn't help but feel two separate emotions at the same time.
Sadness because the hug was over. But also a relief because it felt as if a snake was slowly coiling its body around me… once again, a chilling feeling.
"Y-Yes Ma'am," I finally managed to squeeze out some words before quickly running outside and shutting the door behind me.
My breathing was so heavy that it felt as somebody was squeezing my lungs.
My heart was pounding so fast you'd think I just got married to the love of my life.
My eyes were so dilated you'd think I'd seen a ghost.
"So scary…" I muttered before quickly running off.

"You're so cute… mew… mew… mew… mew," Charna continuously kissed Sophia on the top of her head but it seems she didn't mind it as she never stopped her.
"Come on Charna. Let's get this over with quickly so we can go to the US," I called out to her but she was too busy spoiling Sophia who looked as if she was about to fall asleep.
"Oh my, do you want to go to sleep with big sis~? I wouldn't mind~," Charna says but surprisingly, Sophia nodded as her eyes began to droop.
"I guess you should go get some sleep. I'll take care of the papers and Charna… well, you can tuck her in, sleep with her, or whatever… Just remember she has a girlfriend," I said.
"Don't worry… It's fine. Now, lemme just pick you up… hup,"
Charna picked up Sophia into a princess carry and I assume she brought Sophia to her own room, or possibly her room.
