Chapter 169: Mia's Moment Of Weakness

My body couldn't move.
It was stuck in place as if I was paralyzed completely.
The only thing I could move was my two eyes which darted around, trying to find Miss Nell, who had suddenly disappeared.
"Quite interesting… But you would've already died," A voice appeared from behind me.
"H-How," I muttered as the feeling in my body suddenly returned to so I slashed behind me, but when I stopped to see that nobody was there, I noticed Miss Nell sitting on the edge of my blade.
She was swinging her legs as if there wasn't a care in the world… and it was extremely embarrassing, so I pulled back, causing her to fall backward.
I then stepped forward with my right foot and unleashed a powerful blade of white light that tore through parts of the arena.
"Foo,"
Somebody blew into my ear behind me, and just as I went to swing, a hand was placed on my shoulder, preventing me from fully completing my turn.
"Okay, this is boring," A voice says, and the excitement in my body quickly washed away, and I couldn't help but look downwards, feeling a bit sad.
I disappointed her…
"Don't be sad. You're pretty strong, though there are some improvements that you need… maybe not relying on your body too much. You're not really thinking when you move, and you're just hoping your sword can reach them. For somebody stronger than you, set up bait and then go in for the kill… Also, what is your power stone?" Miss Nell asks as the sword of light in my hand disappears.
"Angelic light," I responded, a bit surprised and happy that she asked me this question… but all of a sudden, her face turned very serious.
She glared at me with killing intent, and I couldn't help but wonder what was wrong, but before I could ask, she spoke up.
"Activate your sword again," She said, and I quickly followed her order in order to appease her.
My trust sword made of white light appeared in my hand, and just as I waved it towards her, she caught it with her fingers.
"Hmmmmm… Never mind," She shrugged before making her way back into the large base.
"Wait! I thought I already informed the leaders of my power stone?!" I shouted as I tried to catch up with her.
"You did?" She asks, a bit surprised.
"Y-Yeah… I-I guess I didn't. Forgive me. I'll be sure to send it in just a few hours," I said, but before I could take out my phone to research the power stone, which is usually sold at most magic item shops, Miss Nell spoke up once again.
"*sigh*... No, it's fine. Lucy probably didn't tell me about it… Fucking little… Mmh… *sigh*... Whatever. Come on, let's have some coffee or something. This shit hole is making me feel like garbage," She said, and she seemed angry, so I only responded with a,
"Yes, Ma'am,"

Is Lucy another leader? I would assume so, right? I mean, who else could get her mad and not die instantly after…
"If I may ask, where are the other leaders? We haven't been in touch lately, and I've been getting a bit worried," I asked as Miss Nell had calmed down and was relaxing while watching some videos on her phone.
"Don't worry. They're just having some fun in the US before actually doing their job," She responded without even giving me a glance.
"M-May I ask what their job is…? A-Actually nevermind. That is above my status," I said, and she just gave me a glance before returning to her phone.
"They're killing some pests," She said.

(Lucy POV)
"HUFF HUFF HUFF HUFF… It's been a while since we've had sex without S and M," I muttered as I lay next to Mia, who was researching some things on her phone.
"Yeah… Sex like that really is the best… S and M is a treat you have once in a while, so I really enjoy it from time to time," Mia said before standing up and making her way to the bathroom, still completely naked.
I think she forgot we had everybody else over in our apartment that we got in California… well, except for Charna and Nell who were back in the underground city, checking up on Sophia and completing some other quick errands.
As Mia left the room, I decided not to warn her as I wanted to surprise everybody else and see Mia's embarrassed face… because it is a fun sight to see once in a while.
"Mia… You're completely naked," I heard Amanda's voice from outside the bedroom.
"S-sorry!" She shouted before rushing back into the bedroom and glaring at me with a deep blush.
The other girl's reactions were a bit disappointing… mostly because we've already seen each other naked multiple times, but Mia was extra sensitive about this, so she would get pretty embarrassed.
I remember one time, Mom set up an amazing aromatic hot spring in our secluded base that we trained in for like four years, and of course, this was when we saw each other naked… but Mia decided to keep a towel wrapped around her.
In the beginning, nobody really cared, but eventually, everybody else wanted to see her voluptuous body, and even though I was greatly against it, everybody snuck up on her… and removed it.
For the first in a while, I saw Mia so red that she looked like a tomato… It was so cute… but she also snitched on us to my Mom, who then punished everybody, including me, who was greatly against it… though, I wasn't really complaining much after seeing her expression.
"Lucy! Get your ass here!" Mia shouted but I outmaneuvered her and rushed out of the room and hid behind the couch as I chuckled to myself.
"Lucy, you're not wearing any clothes either," Amanda said as she tossed me a controller, and I began to play the video game on the TV with her.
