He continued to explain the type of items that the auction house sold, while we walked down the long alleyway, but in the end, nothing caught my eye. Just the abyss drake set was enough for me.

Since Atlas had shown me everything they had to offer, we parted ways as I made my way to the main auction room.

"Welcome, we will bring you to your room," says two attendants standing at the entrance.

I just nod my head before I proceed to follow behind them. They took me up a set of stairs that loops up, around the auction room which was in the shape of a giant circle. The auction room had 3 floors surrounding the center where I presume they display the items.

The bottom was made up of just chairs, then above them were small rooms where semi-big families stayed and then the final floor, where I was staying. It only had 6 rooms and I had one of the 6 rooms all to myself.

I could tell the other rooms were for some of the biggest families in the city.

"If you need anything, please just press the buŧŧon on the table in front of you," says the attendant before closing the door behind him.

I let out a long sigh and looked down the window. At the center of the auction house was a small elevated platform, with a square cutout in the middle.

"That's probably where the items come out," I mumble.

Since I had nothing else to do, I just sat on my luxurious couch and scrolled through Magicgear.com. Social media was meaningless to somebody who has no friends and is already up to date on most things in the world.

The time was slowly approaching 1 PM so I hung my phone back around my neck and checked out the other families that stayed on my current floor.

"Write, Lachnes, Balthasar, Bloodriver, and Porter. These are big families and that's... Mia standing at that window isn't it,"

"It seems everybody is here!" shouts a woman walking onto the elevated pedestal.

Her microphone directly sent her voice into our rooms so we had no trouble hearing her.

"We have 5 items for sale today! And the first one is… a vampire lord's dagger!"

A long, curved, dagger about the size of my forearm rose out of the square cut out. The handle was blood red while the blade was pure white, something that didn't seem to match together, but contrasted well for some reason.

"This dagger was made from many vampire corpses. The blade has a blood steal effect where when you cut a monster with it, blood will be suċkėd from the wound, greater increasing the dagger's sharpness.

Also! This dagger comes with another one, but that will be given to you, once you buy it. The starting price is 30 million US dollars!" says the woman with a smile.

"Oh! 100 million already from the Tone family! Oh! 120 million from the Ruse family! Oh…"

The bidding went on for about 5 minutes until the Bloodriver family bid on it for 1 billion US dollars. I knew some of the families on the floor below us could afford to go higher in money, but they couldn't afford to potentially offend the Bloodriver family.

They are a merciless family that specializes in attack-type dungeon runners. The number of geniuses and quote-on-quote heroes of today is uncountable. But they have received some discrimination from them only using blood-related stones.

Blood was a subcategory of the water stones just like ice, but they were extremely rare to get. The only reason they can produce so many geniuses with only blood-related power stones is that they have a personal dungeon that is related to blood monsters. They aren't vampires but literal monsters made from blood.

The auction went on and on but there was nothing I wanted besides the Nagas Gastric Acid. I wondered if I could gain something by drinking it just like the Snow Wolfs Blood. Poison properties maybe?

But, it was bought by the Write family for 1.5 Billion US dollars...

"Now the final product that I know you have all been waiting for! The… snake necromancy power stone!"

I could see everybody get off their seats and peer down onto the smooth stone. It radiated an eerie aura that sent chills down everybody's spine… except for me of course.

"This here is a stone found in… the stones dungeon was actually not provided, but we can guarantee it is a real power stone. The seller up there… Q, hasn't provided much information on the stone beside it allows you to resurrect any type of snake," the woman says.

They're doing that on purpose. They purposely said I was the seller so that the families will be intrigued by me. They probably think I won't refuse to answer questions asked by the biggest families but, they are sorely wrong.

This is another reason why I wore a mask, so I could partially go up against the big families. I won't be giving out free things or free information. If they want it, pay a great sum of money, give me part of their power, or torture it out of me.

I could feel my skin crawl signaling me, that some of the families sent people to watch me… probably shadow users. They are illegal in New York, but if you have money, you can bribe the government to let you raise some in the shadows.

Don't want to draw too much attention right now, since they are probably professionally trained so I'll just pretend I didn't notice them.

Prices that I didn't think were possible, were being announced but I somehow kept my calm composure.

"18 Billion US Dollars for the Porter family! Going once! Going twice! And… Sold! Congratulations to the Porter family for obtaining this unique new power stone!"

I checked my Transactions Account and saw that it had already been transferred. I smiled before exiting the door. Many eyes were following me and a familiar face approached me.

"It's a pŀėȧsurė to meet you, Miss Q, my name is Mia, I hope we can be on good terms from now on," says Mia, holding out her hand for a handshake.

I just walk by her, giving her the cold shoulder. The bloodlust of some ȧssassins was released on me, which I ȧssume were the shadow users of the Lachnes family.

"Miss Mia, please forgive Miss Q's rudeness, she doesn't like handshakes," Atlas says, appearing out of nowhere.

"Please move out of the way Auctionmaster, this girl needs to be taught to know her place,"

Hasn't she learned anything at all…

Mia reaches out for my shoulder but before she could grab it, I turn around and break her arm. She falls on her buŧŧ, only seconds later realizing the state of her arm. It was snapped into 3 parts in just a split second.

Also, their bloodlust in total only amounted to pins and needles on my skin so I retaliated, without even lifting a finger.

My bloodlust exploded out, causing the ȧssassins to fall unconscious and Mia to wet herself. The surrounding spectators all looked at me in anger and fear, not knowing what to do.

Soon, what looked to be Mia's parents, tried to help her up with their guards charging at me.

Hmmm… it wouldn't be a problem if they died… right?

Smoke leaks from the side of my mouth and then bursts into rainbow flames that disintegrate the guards in a split second. Even their armor was turned to ashes when it should've just melted down.

I approached Mia who was sprawled out on the floor and gestured for her parents to move away. Surprisingly, they complied and Mia had an expression of despair as smoke continued to leak from the sides of my mouth.

I lifted my mask slightly, revealing my glowing eyes, that flashed the colors of the rainbow. A smile crept onto my face as Mia sank into great despair and fear.

"What did I say… Mia?"

Tears welled up in Mia's eyes as I pushed my mask back, all the way onto my face before I felt somebody touch my shoulder.
