"Cause I want connections with the underworld but I don't have enough influence. Sure I'm powerful, but that's meaningless in front of S or possibly high A rank dungeon runners. I'll be killed instantly once I do the things that I'm planning for in the underworld," I say turning off [Royal Ice Crown].
I could see the girls breathe a sigh of relief as they see the frost disappear on the walls. Aria who received the brunt of the frost scooted slightly away from me as soon as she wasn't shivering anymore.
"I see… but why come to me?"
The Lachnes family. A family that specializes in producing genius fire-based dungeon runners. Not only are the Lachnes children powerful, but they are confident and that leads to their high arrogance.
They have many enemies but also many allies who have even greater connections across the globe. I'm not planning on staying in New York forever since there are no S-rank gates in the US. If I want one that is open to use and uses the farm-like tactic, I have to either go to Europe or Asia.
I researched some more the past few days and saw that Asia has the highest amount of S-rank gates that are kept open by large families. It took a lot of digging and researching but I eventually found the information.
One of those families is the Atlas family… and the Atlas guy that was the head of the auction house is from that family.
Although he was rejected from his family due to classified reasons, he was able to climb back up the ranks in the US. His influence now is even greater than some of the biggest families in New York. But that influence only amounts to average in his original family, which is why he isn't going back to Korea.
"Hello~ Lucy, oops-... Ummm," Mia tries to snap me out of my thought.

"What has she done that makes killing her worthy?" I ask Mia.
"She's from the Balthasar family. Killing her would be troublesome. Also, she's pretty useful since the Balthasar family specializes in summoning," Mia responds.
"What's your summon?"
"Dark and Light Knight," Aria responds.
"Like… Dark Knight and Light Knight or Dark and Light Knight?"
"I have 2 summons, a Dark Knight and Light Knight," Aria confirms.
Oh, 2 summons huh. That's pretty rare, plus I've never heard of a dark knight or light knight summon, maybe it's something that needs to be kept a secret since it's special?
"Where are you on the line for succession?"

That's exactly the amount of arrogance and ċȯċkiness I expected from a large family. Also. it seems she's become much more comfortable. But I'm still keeping my guard up just in case since... one of the other girls here is looking at me in anger.
"Alright, you want to provide the base of operations, or do you want me to?" I say backing away from Aria.
Her heavy breathing calmed down as she took a more relaxed position but I could tell her muscles were still tight.
"Why don't we just use an island that the Lachnes family already owns?"
"You have one…? But it needs to have a teleporter otherwise there's no point in having a base of operations that would center around New York,"
"Of course it would have a fuċkɨnġ teleporter. It's part of Europe and was deserted long ago. Ya ever heard of Iceland?"

"That seems fine… also you with the green hair. If you want to kill me so badly then do it," I said pointing my finger at a girl with long green hair and pale white skin.

A crack forms and I saw her eyes peel white for a split second. Mia didn't do anything and expected this to happen from the time she said "bullying." Mia already knew they were bullies that harassed the weaker kids. She even continued to do it after I made her piss her pants.
But, I don't give a shit if she continues to bully the weaker kids. This is a world where the strong devour the weak to become even more powerful and flaunt their massive egos.
It's just I won't become like them. I won't be a hero that saves the weaker kids but I won't become a bully that picks on weaker kids for no reason. If somebody threatens my life, I'll kill them.
That's another reason why I'm creating the org, to make sure I have power behind me and people don't fuċk with me for no reason. If I face an opponent too powerful for me to face alone, I won't beat them with the power of "fRiEnDsHiP," but I'll overwhelm them with numbers.

Hearing her words I let go and let her drop to the ground. Her neck had a red marking of my hand which sent shivers down Mia's spine.
"If you don't fuċk with me, I don't fuċk with you. Simple. Aria, you take care of your cousin, I'm going to sleep," I say, jumping off the stacked wooden cargo boxes.
"We'll meet here again tomorrow at midnight.. If you want to stay you can receive the benefits, but if you want to leave, go ahead… I'll just kill you after so you can't expose this little secret of ours," I say, walking down the alleyway.
