Chapter 45: Sleepover

Instead of leaving the mansion, I sat on Mia's bed and watched all the remaining members of Tolf leave her room. They all gave me a wink or thumbs up before disappearing into the hallway.
"So what do you want to do?" Mia asks after appearing right in front of me.
"Holy shit you scared me,"
"Sorry," Mia says, scratching the back of her head.
"Anyway, since it's getting late, we should probably take a bath or shower,"
"Y-you want to do it together?!" Mia shouts, blushing profusely.
"What! When did I say that! We're taking it separately. Now lead me to the bath,"
"How bossy… alright, follow me,"
After about 5 minutes of just walking through Mia's house, we arrived at the very top floor where a massive indoor hot spring awaited us. The walls were entirely made of glass which worried me slightly, but Mia soon informed me that they were one way.
"The towels are over there, now make sure you don't stay in here for too long. Plus, the water is a bit special, it helps soften the first few layers of your skin but then hardens everything underneath, including bones. That's why it looks like I have such soft skin but such a strong body,"
"Then aren't you extremely vulnerable to cuts?"
"D-don't sweat the details… Anyway, I'll place your change of clothes outside the door so just come get them when you're ready," Mia says.
Mia exits the room which was my signal to take off my clothes and throw them in the washer. I then walked over to the rocky hot spring and dipped my foot into it. I was immediately overcome with a sense of relaxation.
My body felt like it was melting but I slowly moved my entire body into the water. I then used the rest of the time to look over my status, inventory, souls stored, and to obviously… wash my body.
"*sigh* I think I should get out now," I mutter before dragging myself out of the warm bath.
I dry my body with one of the towels and pick up my clothes outside of the room. I started to put on my clothes but quickly found a problem,
"This bra size is too big,"
"Whatever, who wears bras to sleep anyway," I say, tossing it to the side.
I then put on the shorts and long-sleeved shirt before brushing my teeth in the next room over. Thankfully they had disposable toothbrushes.

Mia soon came back from her bath and a maid was right behind her. She was wearing a red sweatshirt with white shorts.
"Are you hungry? I can tell the chefs to make something for you," Mia asks.
"No, I'm fine,"
The maid left and closed the door behind Mia. I sat on her floor, holding one of her pillows while Mia proceeded to sit on her bed.
"So… what do you want to do?" Mia asks.
"Can we play video games?"
"You want to?"
"Well, I've never really tried them and I see you have a TV and some consoles,"
"Oh, let's not use that TV then," Mia says, scooting to the back of her bed.
"Sit next to me, let's watch a movie instead," Mia says, patting the spot next to her.
Hesitantly, I walk over to the side of her bed and scoot next to her. She presses a buŧŧon on the side of her bed and a giant screen drops down from the ceiling. Once it finally dropped to eye level, it turned on with a holographic screen appearing in front of Mia.
"What genre do you want to watch?"
"It's up to you,"
"Action? I've been dying to watch this newly released action movie," Mia says.
"Sure,"
Mia immediately searches for it on the holographic screen and then presses on the thumbnail. It then appeared on the massive TV in front of us. The thumbnail stayed still for a second before starting the movie.
"That was pretty fun,"
"I guess… is it kind of cold in here? I'm shivering even with the blanket,"
"Oh, if you're cold I can give you some of my pajamas,"
I didn't reply and just scooted closer to Mia. She tilted her head in confusion but started to blush when I lifted her sweatshirt and sewed my head through, coming out the top. I sat in between her legs and leaned my head against her collar bone.
"It's warm now,"
Mia was tense at first but slowly relaxed and turned off the massive screen. Since the lights of the room were already off, Mia just kissed me on the top of my head before leaning back onto her pillow.

It was here again. I was aware it was a dream but I was still scared. My mom was hanging from the ceiling once again. I was balling my eyes out on the ground as continuous laughter harassed me.
I kept repeating the same thing over and over again.
"Help… please help me…"
"Lucy! Lucy!"
I hear somebody call for me and when I look up, I see a hand. I was desperate and grabbed onto it, hoping it would save me.
"Lucy! Lucy! Are you alright?"
I was awake and I was lying right next to Mia, still inside her sweatshirt. My eyes were wet. My hands and body were shaking. But it was warm. The cold room in my dreams wasn't here.
"M-Mia?"
"Lucy, are you alright?" Mia asks.
It was hard to see her expression in the dark, but from the outline of her face, I could tell she was worried.
"N-n-nightmare,"
"It's okay. I'll be here," Mia says, hugging me tightly.
It was a familiar feeling. This warmth that I had only felt with my mom and partially with Auntie. It was so familiar that I started to cry. I didn't know why I was crying, but I cried. I cried until I fell asleep once again.

"Lucy, it's morning. You have to wake up otherwise I can't get out of bed," I hear a faint voice say.
"Not yet… it's the weekend… 5 more minutes," I sleepily mutter.
"Wake up… it's 9 AM already,"
"No… just a bit longer,"
I was being shaken back and forth, eventually forcing me to open my eyes.
"Come on. You have to wake up," Mia says.
"... Fine,"
I slip out of her sweatshirt and rub my half-opened eyes. Mia then got out of bed and opened her curtains, blasting me with a ray of sunlight.
"Too bright,"
"Alright vampire, let's go,"
I shift my legs out of bed and exit the room. I sort of remembered the way to the bathroom but got lost halfway through. Luckily, one of the maids was nice enough to lead me there so I used the bathroom, washed my face, and brushed my teeth.
The same maid then leads me to the dining table where Mia was already seated. I sat down across her as multiple maids and butlers brought out "Breakfast." It was way too much to be breakfast.
I just wanted a pancake or 2… not a fuċkɨnġ feast.
"I can't eat all of this,"
"Well, it's for the both of us to share,"
"Lemme rephrase that… we can't eat all of this,"
"I can," Mia says, stuffing her face with food already.
"Aren't you supposed to be a young mistress? Where's the nobility or proper movements?"
"Screw that when I'm by myself. I'll only do that when I'm eating with my family, cousins, or another family,"
"I see," I mutter, sticking my fork into the sausage in front of me.
The rest of breakfast went pretty quickly despite us having so much food. Mia quickly proved her point from before and continued to eat the remaining food after I had stuffed myself.
"You're gonna get fat,"
"No, I'm not. I exercise and go dungeon running every other day,"
"I don't think that's how it works… but just keep your diet in check. I'm not allowing you to get fat,"
"Young Mistress's girlfriend is quite strict. Are you sure you're going to be able to live up to her expectations, Young Mistress?" One of the maid giggles.
Mia looks down at her enormous plate of food and looks up at me. She went back and forth a couple of times before pushing away her plate of food.
"I'm done," Mia says.
"Wow, this is such a blessing. The chefs are always exhausted when you have a meal. Hopefully, this can allow them to relax some more… but you need to keep this up, Young Mistress,"
"I know… Well, I'll try at least," Mia says.
"Oh yeah, Young Mistress, if you're going to have a significant other, then you need to tell your parents. Plus, she's not from a big family so I worry that they might not accept your relationship," One of the maids says.
"I'll tell them some other time… Lucy, what are you doing after this?"
"Probably go to another dungeon. I haven't gone in one for a while so I need to repolish my skills," I say, exiting the chair.
"Are you leaving now?"
"Yes. I have something important today as well so I'll be taking an early leave. Also, do you know where my clothes are from yesterday?"
"Rachel?" Mia asks, turning her head towards a maid.
"I'll bring them here," The maid says before bowing and walking out of the dining room.
After a few minutes of waiting, a maid hands me my clothes which I quickly change into at the closest bathroom.
"See ya later," I say, exiting the mansion's front door.
"Wait!"
Mia stops me and kisses me before leaving.. I quickly turn around, my face flushed in embarrassment, and run through the opened gate.
