"Kid, do you have a dungeon runner's license?" I ask as she might've been older than I initially thought.

"Nope, I'm 15," The girl responds.

"Huh? Seriously? Then why are you so strong? Even the richest and most powerful kids in this state are around high C or low B-rank at your age,"

"That's cool,"

"I'm actually around high A-rank, so it's hard to believe a 15-year-old is close to me in terms of power,"

"'Kay… Want a cookie or something?"

This kid… She gets on my nerves.

"Okay, this portal is pretty big. Probably larger than your normal B-rank portal, but it's not something I'm interested in," The kid says before walking off.

"Somebody investigate that girl and find out which big family she comes from. I want to talk with them," I say out loud, hoping for anybody to accept the mission.

…

(Lucy POV)

As I walked back to my apartment, I scrolled through my status and inspected my new skills for the first time.

I've used them before and took quite a liking to them, but I've never seen the description for them.

[Necromancy]

[Grade: S]

[Description: You have now become linked with the dead, allowing you to draw parts of the primordial death's power. You can resurrect anything and anybody, but the only drawback is that they have no separate will unless they were powerful beings when they were alive. They will follow you until the end of time but will never utter or gesture a single word.]

Those last two sentences are what kept me from resurrecting my mother… I wanted her to rest in peace, not take her soul and have her become a slave to me.

I have almost done it on multiple occasions due to my undying wish to see my mother again, but I knew deep down that she nor I would be happy once I resurrect her.

[Grade: B-]

[Description: Your crown has evolved into something much deadlier. You can now produce a crown that lets you wield over ice infused with the power of death. But this power of death is only partial, so instantly killing somebody or something is impossible.]

This one was quite nice, but it really made me look like a lich whenever I put the crown on. It was made from bones fossilized in ice, giving it a rough texture and grayish appearance.

[Flood of Corpses]

[Grade: C-]

[Description: Your refreshing water that helped drown droughts and help nurture the land has been replaced with disgusting corpses of each and everything you have slaughtered.]

[Disclaimer: You can not resurrect these corpses, nor can you explode them with other skills]

This skill is… Alright… In battle, it messed up my footing a lot, but I have a feeling it will come in handy much, much later.

[Bone Armor]

[Description: Bones made from partly drawing out the power of the primordial death are lined against your body. The bones will bend to your will, allowing you to make any type of armor that suits your preference.]

This skill was much better than I initially thought. I thought it would give me some extremely bulky armor that a tank would wear, but instead, I could manipulate it into a sort of robe-esk armor… kind of.

It looked like a robe, and the helmet I wore was a mini dragon skull that I thought looked cool.

"But this isn't something I'd wear in a normal dungeon,"

The drake armor that I have is much better than this, so this would be for emergencies… I guess.

[Corpse Explosion]

[Grade: B-]

[Description: The corpse of anything you killed is able to have the seeds of death planted inside of it. Once these seeds have been planted, you can explode the corpses at once.]

The description of this skill was slightly misleading as it refers to the explosion as planting death inside a corpse. But you're really just exploding it from making eye contact. The description just dramatized it.

Of course, the amount of mana this thing takes is a lot, but it's worth it for the large explosion that allows you to clear hordes of monsters without much trouble.

[Death Immunity]

[Grade: A-]

[Description: You have become immune to instant death attacks or any attack related to the death attribute.]

[Disclaimer: You are not invincible, and you are not immortal]

I already expected this…

"*yawn*... Maybe I should go shopping," I mutter but suddenly received a text from the Tolf group chat, saying that the captains had taken down another Write house.

I snicker slightly at this and try to imagine the head's face, which I ȧssumed to be stressed or possibly in despair.

"Bastard… This is what you get," I mutter.

…

Another week passed and all of Tolf decided to do a training session together… Of course, it's just us, the heads of Tolf. Not the others.

"So, why'd you call us here?" Celestine asks.

Everybody else nods their head as they were thinking the same thing.

Well… maybe I decided I wanted to have a training session with everybody again.

"Remember that time when our hivemind fully connected?" I asked, and everybody nodded in agreement.

"What about it?" Ethel asks.

"Well, I want to try and obtain that again,"

I could tell some girls felt uneasy about this as if we accidentally went too far, we would all become one thing.

"I think that's a great idea," Charna says.

"What? How is that a good idea? I shouldn't even have to explain the consequences if we mess up even in the slightest," Amanda speaks up for the other uneasy girls.

"Yeah? What about it?" Charna replies.

Everybody was shocked except for me.

It seems we're on the same page.

"Do you think this will last forever?" Charna asks.

Nobody replied.

"No," Amanda replies after clicking her tongue.

"*sigh*... I see… Well, I won't say it's a bad idea. But it's also not a good idea…" Mia says.

"You know we can avoid it completely, right?" Nuala asks Charna.

"How?"

"By just becoming so strong, we won't ever get pushed into a corner like that again,"

"How do you know that's why that full hivemind was activated? I mean, the other raids we went on in the Write family households, I'd say we're much harder than that one time,"

Lucy and Charna had slight clues on why the full hivemind worked, but none of them were correct. In fact, it was something much more fundamental than they thought.

At that very moment, when they were all backed into a corner, they all hit a peak in their fear of dying, causing the full hivemind to come to fruition.

So what does that mean? Well, that means they all need to have the same emotion, at the same level of intensity, at the same time… In order to fully connect.
