"You know we can avoid it completely, right?" Nuala asks Charna.

"How?"

"By just becoming so strong, we won't ever get pushed into a corner like that again,"

"How do you know that's why that full hivemind was activated? I mean, the other raids we went on in the Write family households, I'd say we're much harder than that one time,"

Lucy and Charna had slight clues on why the Full Hivemind worked, but none of them were correct. In fact, it was something much more fundamental than they thought.

At that very moment, when they were all backed into a corner, they all hit a peak in their fear of dying, causing the full hivemind to come to fruition.

So what does that mean? Well, that means they all need to have the same emotion, at the same level of intensity, at the same time… In order to fully connect.

A few days have passed since our meeting, and Tolf has been split apart. Though we all still talk to each other, our training sessions have been slow.

Five girls from Tolf wanted to try and master the full hivemind, but the remaining seven were too scared even to try... Or they were just wary.

"*sigh*... What the hell. Maybe I shouldn't have brought it up," I mutter to myself while scrolling through an online clothing store.

*knock* *knock* *knock*

It's not time for lunch, nor is it time for them to pick up my dirty breakfast plates.

Slowly, I opened my front door and was suddenly met with two giant men in black suits and a familiar face standing behind them with her arms crossed.

It was the same woman who I saw in front of the B-rank gate.

"What do you want?" I ask, still in my onesie, which caused both of the guards to snicker a bit.

"Lucy Amana, you are currently under arrest for suspicion of Money Laundering," The woman says, holding up a badge that showed her authority of being part of the police force.

Huh? Seriously?

"You have the right to remain silent,"

And suddenly, the two men grabbed my arms and quickly clicked handcuffs around my wrists with their fat fingers.

Are those fat fingers or just really muscular fingers… I can't tell.

"Can't you be a bit more gentle?" I ask, pushing their hands away that were wrapped tightly around my wrists on top of the handcuffs.

The guards were shocked but remembered their employer behind them said that she was peak B-rank or possibly low A-rank.

"Didn't I say you have the right to remain silent?" The woman asks again, and I just glanced at her with a stone-cold face.

"Why should I remain silent when I did nothing wrong? It'll just place more suspicion on me anyway," I respond while following the two guards out of my apartment building.

I was then forced into a cop car and driven to the local police station, where I was quickly led into an interrogation room.

It was completely white and had one desk, one lamp, and two chairs on opposite sides of the desk.

I was sat down in one chair, and the familiar woman sat down on the opposite chair.

"Now, let's start this off simple… Have you ever participated in money laundering?" The woman asks.

I knew this day would come, but I didn't realize it would come so soon because of my careless actions.

Of course, it's suspicious. An account that is not connected to a big family has Black Transactions and has hundreds of thousands of dollars flowing into it every day.

But, the money I've earned is not illegal. In fact, I'm using the same process but a different way… If that makes sense.

"No," I reply bluntly.

The woman glances at the corner of the room, and suddenly a beeping sound could be heard.

"She is not lying," A robotic voice says.

Ah, these are holograms. The walls are holograms.

Somebody was most likely behind the holograms, using a Lie Detector power stone to tell whether I was telling the truth or not.

"I see… Well, how have you earned so much money?" The woman asks.

Here it comes… The climax.

"I kill humans and chop up their bodies,"

The woman's face goes pale upon hearing my blatant confession, and her eyes immediately shift towards the corner of the room again.

"She's not lying," The same robotic voice announces.

Of course, I'm not lying. I've killed humans before and have chopped them up with a sword. But, I never said directly I get money from them. I just answered their question while utilizing a loophole.

Now I just need to hope they don't tell me to repeat it. Cause if they do… well, guess I've become a criminal.

"Why would you ever do that?"

But it seems none of them are that smart.

"You've dug into my background, haven't you?" I ask calmly, slouching down in my chair, but my soft onesie almost made me slide entirely off.

"I'm the one asking questions," The woman responds but understands what I meant.

You know why I'm killing humans, right? You've seen my miserable childhood, my pitiful school life, and my pitiful general experience in life.

Of course, that would warp an ordinary person into a killer. And the amount of bullying I've received is just the extra sprinkles on top.

Now how would she have found out this information? Well… I, of course, tipped the information to the State Information Bureau, where they record information on every human in New York.

This was to help prevent any power stone users from going on a rampage, destroying the entire city.

It was quite simple really, as I knew this was going to come. Actually, I was a bit worried it wasn't going to come because then all the hard work I put in would go down the drain.

"*sigh*... Okay, next question. Where do you hide the bodies? Or do you just burn them? You've already confessed to being guilty, so you might as well go all the way,"

Oh, if that's what you want?

"I hide the corpses in my apartment," I respond with a smile.

"She is not lying,"

"Tch, I'll call my boss. I'll also send some people to go retrieve the bodies," The woman says, getting up from her seat and exiting the room.

This was originally supposed to be a plan that got rid of most suspicion from me, but with this… I might be able to get rid of all the suspicion.

…

(Female Government Worker POV)

This situation has turned into something much worse than I expected.

I can't believe such an innocent-looking girl is a murderer. No, she might be innocent looking on the outside, but just like when I saw her in front of the portal, her demeanor was like that of somebody much older than her.

I can't believe she got bullied so much she turned out like this.

"But I don't feel bad and will never feel bad for somebody like that. Somebody who can seem proud by killing other humans," I mutter while grabbing my cellphone and immediately dialing my boss's number.

This seems unnecessary but for a girl who is near peak A-rank, I need a powerful force to back me up.. I also need to prove to him how dangerous she is.
