Prince Jaekel was a healthy good-sized baby. No one could figure out what caused the cute little baby to keep whimpering so. By all looks there was absolutely nothing wrong with him.

Zylvia watched her best friend fussing over the kid. There was a sense of uncertainty that seemed to permeate the air. The best anyone could figure was just that the young prince did not like being left alone and that he was not adjusting well to suddenly being out of the safe womb of his mother.

He did calm down though, and seemed almost at peace as Fayre helplessly held him. He was cute. Zylvia found herself looking forward to when he would be learning how to speak and would be calling her 'Auntie'. For years to come it would be a great disappointment to her that this would never actually happen.

It took Zylvia a while to talk Fayre into letting her hold the child but once she did the child for a second startled as his mother handed him off but then seemed to accept Zylvia's touch. He did not cry, thought his whimpering did not stop.

Zylvia only got to hold the child for five minutes before his mother reclaimed him. Zylvia moved to stand next to her husband, giving the new parents some room.

Kaldrek wrapped an arm around her, being careful of her baby bump. Zylvia could hardly wait to introduce her own little one to the world. Zylvia leaned into her husband, feeling exhausted.

"I'm taking Zylvia to go lie down for a bit." Kaldrek broke into the moment their friends were having, "I think she has had a bit too much excitement."

Jayesh glanced up with a smile, "Of course. And… thank you, both of you, for making this easier on us."

Zylvia frowned as her husband led her away. She had wanted to spend more time with the child. As she went to protest, Kaldrek swept her up into his arms, cradling her against himself. Sometimes it surprised her that he was strong enough to do so as he hardly looked to have much muscles.

Kaldrek carried her up to their room and gently placed her on their bed, "You need to rest, too much excitement is not-"

With a sigh, Zylvia stopped her husband by placing a finger against his lips, "You don't need to lecture me my lord." She tugged on his arm with her other hand. "But if you want me to rest you are going to have to cuddle with me." When he raised a brow at her she explained, "I find it difficult to sleep without you near to me."

He laughed softly and climbed in next to her, pulling her against himself and leaving his hand against her stomach. He placed a kiss at the base of her neck, "I still find it a little hard to believe that soon we will be parents."

She nestled back into his embrace, enjoying the way she felt secure like this. As exhausted as she was she fell asleep rather quickly, hardly giving him a reply beyond a humming agreement.

She was still in her husband's embrace when she woke up. He had started to fall into a light doze as well, but as she shifted, he came wide awake. She felt better now, more refreshed.

It had been mentally taxing to help her best friend with childbirth. It probably would have been easy enough if it was not for the fact that Zylvia was fairly far along on her own pregnancy as well.

"Feel better?" Kaldrek pressed his lips to her forehead, leaning over her, using his elbows to keep himself propped up instead of on top of her.

She grinned at him, "Well enough, my love." She leaned towards him and stole a kiss from him before rolling out and away from him, "Now I want to see our new prince again."

He merely laughed before getting up himself to join her. He caught a hold of her before she left their room and fixed her hair with a very serious look on his face before taking hold of her hand and leading her out of the room.

Zylvia felt excited over seeing the little one again. She had always loved children and was glad that her best friend now had one.
