If this had happened in the past, Michelle wouldn't have hesitated to throw the man out of the window. But she needed to be more careful now, especially since she was pregnant with the man's baby.
"You should thank the baby for saving your life."
"I'm leaving tomorrow and I might be gone for at least a week. Let me just give you a hug."
Ray had decided that he was going to do whatever it took to get a hug from Michelle. If Michelle sat on the couch, he would sit next to her and put his arms around her shoulders. If she lay on the bed, he would lie next to her. He was adamant and unyielding in his mission.

Exasperated, Michelle brought the palm of her hand to her face and said, "What time are you going tomorrow?"
Ray leaned on her and watched her, his fingers on her stomach, his face close beside her ear. His eyes softened, and he said, "I need to shoot an advertisement for Love and Dream."
He had never hidden anything from anyone about the things he had done for Emily. And he didn't plan on hiding anything from Michelle either.
Michelle, however, fell into a silence upon hearing that.
Judging by the way she looked, Ray assumed that she wasn't happy. When he raised his head up to look at Michelle, he caught her eyes staring at his hand. "Get your hands off me!"
"Huh?" Ray had just realized that his hand had moved from her belly and landed on her chest.
"Well, what are you waiting for?"
Ray quickly drew his hand back and said, "Michelle, our baby is probably as big as a little goldfish now. When are you going to marry me?"
"I haven't thought about it yet."
"Wait? This is the first time you didn't bite my head off!" Ray was so excited that he almost jumped up in glee. "Does that mean I have a chance now?"
Michelle was surprised by his excitement. Ray was as happy as a child and wasn't afraid of showing his true emotions to her.
"You have been living in my home for a while now. I don't have a problem with it. But do we really need to get married?" Michelle knew that she might never be able to fall in love with him, but he was the father of her baby nonetheless. As such, she had no intentions of keeping him away from her child.
"It does matter! It matters a lot, at least to me it does!" Out of the blue, Ray started to unbutton his shirt. As he was doing so, he said, "I have a surprise for you! I planned to show it to you on the day of our wedding, but I just figured it would also be a good idea to use it for the marriage proposal."
Michelle really didn't know what to do with him, so she moved to the side and left him enough space to do whatever he wanted. Michelle assumed he just wanted to get naked and give himself to her as a present.
She glanced at her belly affectionately, knowing that Ray would never force her to do anything she didn't want to.

Love and Dream was due to have its first inspection for finished products, which was on the same day as Ray's shooting. Louis wanted to give Ray a ride, but Emily's water broke at the same time so he dropped everything and rushed to the hospital for her.
Jacob did the same. He left all his work in a heartbeat and put all his attention on his pregnant wife.
Although he received numerous phone calls, Jacob dismissed everyone by saying that his wife was going to have a baby. People were sick of hearing it, but they didn't dare to speak up to him.
"You can take care of that. Emily's water broke this morning. The doctor told me to expect the baby to come at this evening. If it is not an emergency, don't give me a call. I am going to be very busy after the baby arrives."
Before the call ended, the person on the other end of the call taunted Jacob. "Don't you think Jacob is a bit of too excited?"
Then, Jacob heard Ray's voice. "Could you help me ask him what are good for the women to eat after they give the birth?"
The next second, the call was disconnected. Jacob didn't care about what anyone had to say about him. He loved Emily, and that was all that mattered to him. This was her big moment! Needless to say, Jacob was going to be by her side when the baby came. As he thought, he went back to be with Emily.
