Chapter 1268: Upset By The Kids

Emily was still trembling in obvious emotional turmoil. Although the three children had moved from her sight, she still couldn't calm herself down for several more minutes, and even then the trembling persisted.
Jacob kept comforting her in a soft voice, but he was powerless to help her and could only hold her in his arms, hoping that his presence was enough to calm her down.
He only felt guilty at being unable to help her. Not only was he unable to think from Emily's point of view and better her mood, but he had also inadvertently made it worse.

It is even hard for normal people to accept a traumatic truth. Without a doubt, it would be even harder for her to face up to the reality, since she is ill. Even though Emily doesn't look ill, her illness has already become very serious. She mustn't be surprised or upset again. I'm guessing that it will take quite a long time for her to recover, even in combination with drug therapy. I have specially developed this inhaler for Emily. Judging from Jacob's description, Taylor knew without a doubt that Emily's illness was worsening in spite of her treatment. Hearing this familiar voice, and knowing who it was that spoke, she subconsciously felt flustered. She did not dare or want to let him see her in this terrible situation, but since he had already recognized her, she couldn't hide herself as this would make her look even more guiltier and stranger to him.
Thinking of this, Taylor turned around and saw the tall, lanky shape of Louis. However, he was not alone, but accompanied by a beautiful girl.
The girl had long and curly chestnut hair which tumbled down to her shoulders and she was wearing delicate makeup which complimented her designer outfit. With a brilliant smile on her face, she looked especially gorgeous as a ray of golden sunshine reached through the nearby windows to highlight her regal cheekbones.
