After Nora was confirmed to be dead, she was cremated on a cloudy and rainy day. Carlos bought a tombstone for her, and he buried her ashes in a good place. Without relatives or friends, she had ended up dying unexpectedly and violently.

Finally, she had departed from this world.

After Nora's death, the police had begun to investigate. After checking her cellphone, Carlos had found the message that Darren had sent to her and her call records.

She had run out to save him. If he hadn't been determined to leave her, Nora might not have ended up being dead.

At the thought of this, Carlos felt saddened. He called the police with the evidence. Perhaps it wouldn't be long before the murderer who had escaped after hitting Nora with the car would be caught. However, Carlos was still very unhappy. He felt that he owed Nora a lot, and that it was his fault that she had been slain.

Cherish was worried about Carlos, so she also came to the funeral home. She had followed after Carlos. It began to drizzle. Holding a black umbrella, she walked to Carlos as lightly as she could, while he stood in front of Nora's tombstone, wearing a grim face.

Cherish held the umbrella tilted over Carlos. As a result, her clothes were soon almost completely wet. "Carlos, the rain is getting heavier. It's time to leave now," she said.

Looking back at Cherish, he wanted to ask her to go home by herself. But when he saw her wet clothes, he nodded his head and left with her.

When they got back into the car, Cherish shut her umbrella and sat quietly beside him. She wanted to say something but didn't know what to say, so she kept silent.

Nora's death was a terrible blow to Carlos. Cherish longed to comfort him, but she was afraid that she might say the wrong thing. After hesitating for a long time, she whispered in a low voice, "Carlos, I know you are not happy now. If you want, you can vent your anger on me. I understand how you are feeling. It's not good for your health to be in such low spirits. You shouldn't keep everything bottled up."

Looking a little more serious, Carlos turned to look at the small woman beside him. His chest felt so heavy-hearted, and only after he looked at Cherish did he feel his heart still beating.

He said in a hoarse voice, "Stay with me for

ransfer has been quite turbulent. In principle, your arrest warrant was supposed to have been cancelled, and as long as nothing else happened to implicate you in any illegal business, the share transfer should have been completed a long time ago..."

Darren's heart sank, and an ominous feeling twisted in his heart. He looked at his subordinates and growled, "So many days have passed. Are you useless? Haven't you found out what the hang up is till now?"

One of the subordinates quaked and replied in a low voice, "Mr. Darren, today's share authorization was expressly rejected. The transfer officer claimed that you have been implicated in a criminal case, and that an arrest warrant has been issued. We didn't know anything about this, so we waited for you to return to ask you..."

"What?! Who issued it?" Darren shouted in a low voice. 'Arrest warrant?' he thought, trembling.

How could the police find out the truth behind Nora's death so quickly and instantly suspect him?

He felt that things had suddenly taken a turn and were heading downhill fast. Maybe the arrest warrant for him had never been cancelled at all.

While Darren was still thinking about a way out, another subordinate rushed in so fast that he instantly knocked Darren to the ground.

Darren hated people who ran like headless chickens the most. While he was already in a bad mood, he could not help but pick a cup up from the table and throw it at the subordinate who had just collided with him.

"What has happened? Tell me right now!"
