"Jacob, I know where Bonnie is. She is a prisoner in the manor near the place where I first met her. I have successfully joined as a maid here. I will find her as soon as possible and bring her back. Don't worry, Darren is not here. By the way, to avoid being discovered, I won't use this phone number for the time being. Wait for me to return."

Jacob gripped the phone and dialed her number at once. No matter how many times he dialed, he was only met with the cold voice on the phone. "Sorry, the subscriber you have dialed is currently not available."

"Fuck! Emily, how dare you!" Jacob couldn't help shouting loudly, and his face blackened with rage.

He was absolutely terrified when he thought of what she had done. The manor was Darren's home, and Darren was a cunning old fox. How could it be possible that Emily had entered there so easily and without him knowing?

There must be something fishy going on.

Gathering all his subordinates, Jacob rushed to Darren's manor. Meanwhile, he kept muttering to himself, "Emily will be safe. She will be safe!"

Once Emily was spotted by Darren…Jacob didn't dare to think of what that cunning fox would do to her.

As Jacob had anticipated, once Emily had sent the message, she felt quite thrilled with her progress, but then, she suddenly had a feeling of doom that caused her to panic. Sensing someone behind her, her heartbeat suddenly began racing, and she was so fearful that she became short of breath.

She turned around slowly and screamed instantly when she saw the face of the person behind her.

She would never forget that face.

It was Darren!

His features were a mask of deadly and evil intent.

This shook Emily to the core.

The stars were veiled by the clouds, partly hidden and partly visible. The surrounding clouds were racing across the night sky. Dusk had given way to the dark of night, and the orange lamps in the distance were glowing ominously.

The journey to the manor was almost surreal. As a result of the silence, even Jacob's flustered heartbeat could be heard.

"Hurry up! Drive faster!" Jacob was so anxious that he kept urging the driver to speed up.

Darren knew that Jacob would come the moment he realized that Emily was taken, so he had asked his men to open the door for Jacob.

The moment Jacob saw

But he also knew that he could do nothing to help her. What he could do was to withdraw the arrest warrant as instructed.

After all, everyone had someone they cared about. He would do his best to save Emily if possible.

As soon as Chuck rescinded the arrest warrant, Darren's men received the news.

After checking whether the information was correct or not, Darren nodded to the man in black who was still holding Emily and asked him to take her to Jacob.

Looking at Emily's pale and sleepy face, Jacob became worried. He raised his head and glanced at Darren with eyes soaked in hatred. Darren smiled at him and said, "Don't worry. I am used to conducting transactions in good faith. Emily is fine."

Then, Darren seemed to remember something, and added, "Oh, by the way, after Mrs. Emily wakes up, extend my gratitude to her. I would like to thank her for solving my biggest problem."

Jacob sneered and looked at Darren coldly with malicious eyes. "Darren, do you really think that you have won? I will bring you to justice even if the law won't."

"Really?" Darren smiled and said in a pleasant tone, "Well, I'll wait to see that."

Jacob looked at him fiercely once again. Then, he held Emily tightly in his arms and quickly got into the car. Immediately, the cars raced away.

Throughout this exchange, Emily was still unconscious and unresponsive. He had to check her condition immediately, so they had to leave the manor as soon as possible.

Luckily, the hospital results showed that Emily had just been drugged.
