While Darren was looking for the key, Jacob was also looking for the same key.

Jacob had already been informed by Dina of the location of the share transfer contract, and of course, he also knew about the issue of the set of keys.

But at that point, Jacob had been busy taking care of Emily, so he hadn't begun searching for the key yet.

Emily had shown signs of a depression relapse after she had been rescued by Jacob.

Therefore, Jacob hadn't worked for a couple of days. Instead, he had stayed at home with Emily to cheer her up.

However, Taylor suggested that his taking care of her was not helpful to Emily's speedy recovery, because Emily had wanted to stand by Jacob's side and help him through the challenges.

The reality was that Jacob had given up working because of her. She had come to believe it was her fault for distracting him from his work. Her pangs of guilt would only aggravate her depression.

Therefore, Jacob left Emily in Taylor's care and then returned to work. He began to deal with the business that had accumulated during his days off.

The first thing Jacob did once he returned to work was contact Carlos. He asked him to find Nora's key.

After all, Carlos was the one who had been closest to Nora at the end. As her boyfriend, he should know her best.

Knowing how important the matter was, Carlos set out at once to look for the key in Nora's apartment.

Before he left home, Leah stopped him. She questioned, "Where are you going? Why do you always go out all day? If you are really bored, why don't you take Cherish out for a date?"

"Mom, I have something important to do! Please don't trouble me now." Carlos looked at his mother in frustration.

"Something important? What kind of important things do you have to do?" Leah argued disappointedly.

'You just can't forget that bitch, Nora! Why do you bother to even make an excuse?' Leah thought angrily.

Deciding to ignore her, Carlos bypassed her and went to the doorway without another word of explanation.

Leah was extremely annoyed by his attitude. She followed after him and grabbed him before he could leave, and her eyes were full of suspicion.

Carlos was in a hurry, so he had no choice but to tell her everything as briefly as possible.

But Leah seemed to miss the key point. All that she understood was that Carlos was going to Nora's apartment. "What? You plan on going to Nora's apartment alone?

No way! What if you think of her again while you are looking at her stuff?" Leah was clearly overthinking, though she still thought herself to be reasonable.

His mother's ridiculous ideas made Carlos's head ache. Nora had been his girlfriend, and she had also saved his life. It was natural that he couldn't forget her.

But he had neither the mood nor the time to explain anything to her. "How about I take Cherish with me?"

Hearing this, Leah felt more satisfied and nodded with a smile.

"I'm sorry to bother you again, Cherish," Carlos said to Cherish apologetically.

Ever since Nora's death, it was Cherish who had constantly been by his side and helped him get through his loss.

During this time of grief, he had refused to let anyone enter his heart except for Cherish.

As a matter of fact, Cherish had begun to occupy a special place in Carlos's heart.

"It's okay. I love you. I'm willing to do anything for you." Her tone was soft, which made people want to always take care of her.

It was easy to hear the resolution in her wor

ed.

Sometimes, when she really got mad at him, he would transfer tens of thousands of dollars into her account. This ensured that she couldn't continue being mad anymore. She had begun wondering if he really had such a bad personality.

If he really thought he had too much money, why didn't he just donate that money to those in need?

That night, Darren came to Bonnie's room as usual.

After a few words of teasing, she blushed again. She secretly blamed herself for being so vulnerable to this man's tricks. He had been playing this game with her for so many days, but every time he said something to tease her, she would blush. Therefore, this man could never become bored with her.

She decided to ignore him from now on!

Bonnie pouted her lips angrily and sat on the bed. She had made up her mind not to talk to him again.

Darren knew that Bonnie had been cornered by him, so he took out his mobile phone and transferred more money to her.

Before he finished the procedure, Bonnie spoke up. "Danny, why do you always make fun of me? And then you keep giving me money to make up for it! So, in your mind, I'm the kind of person who you can buy with money?"

As they got to know each other these past few days, Bonnie couldn't always call Darren "Mr. Yu." Therefore, Darren had told her that his name was Danny.

He didn't know why, but he just felt that he didn't like hearing her call him "Mr. Yu," which felt distant.

"How could that be? You are still the cutest and plumpest fairy in my heart. You're as cute as a puffy puppy!" Darren kept on poking fun at her over her figure.

Bonnie wasn't the sexy type of woman. She was a little fat, but she had an ample bosom that made up for it.

"Danny, why are you always making fun of me?" Bonnie asked, feeling really angry.

In fact, she hated when others said that she was fat. Despite her young age, her classmates had been making fun of her large breasts for years, and she had almost been driven mad by them over their bullying. She hated it very much when people judged her figure without considering that she had other assets.

"Because it's fun!" Darren suddenly approached her and whispered in her ear. His warm breath stroked her ear, and she became red again. It was so charming and inviting that Darren wanted to nibble her earlobe.
