Werner von Braun was born in Germany in 1912. His mother was an excellent amateur astronomer. Under the influence of his mother, Braun stepped into the field of aerospace.

He graduated from Charlottenburg Institute of technology with a bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering in 1932.

In 1934, the A-2 rocket was developed and successfully launched at the test site near kumersdorf.

In 1936, he led the design of the A-4 rocket program, the missile later named V-2.

Throughout the Second World War, he was a famous rocket expert in Germany and played a key role in the birth of V-1 and V-2 rockets.

After the end of World War II, the Soviet Union obtained German rocket data, and Braun and his scientific research team surrendered to the United States. The two countries began new space programs on the basis of Germany.

Braun, on the other hand, joined the United States and became the father of American space. Braun led almost all American space programs, such as the famous Apollo moon landing program and the American space shuttle. Now Braun has entered the state earlier than in history.

In Europe, it is difficult to find a suitable launch site, but it is easier to study rockets in the vast Libyan desert!

It was already dawn. It was the second day Hitler came to Libya. Near the base, he watched Braun's experiment with great interest.

Braun didn't explain much to Hitler last night. Anyway, Hitler didn't know so much professional knowledge at all. On the contrary, Chirac, a general who had nothing to do with aerospace, put forward many opinions, which inspired Braun deeply.

Now Braun has completed the development of the V-2 rocket!

To develop a missile, the most important thing is the engine! Braun's missile engine was designed by him. This engine is almost one person tall, and the whole missile looks quite smooth, 14 meters high.

Standing on the launch pad is Braun's missile to be tested this time. At this time, the jib on one side is busy and someone is fueling the rocket.

"Our rockets use alcohol and liquid oxygen." Braun said, "there are special workshops for manufacturing alcohol and liquid oxygen at the base here."

The base is very large and has been developing continuously over the years. Now, almost half of the base is a rocket workshop.

"Dr. Braun, have you thought about it? The combination of alcohol and liquid oxygen is not very suitable for rockets." Hilrick couldn't help saying.

Last night, Braun introduced that the rocket weighs 14 tons, including 5 tons of liquid oxygen and 3.5 tons of alcohol. It can generate 260 kn thrust, with a maximum range of 320 km, a flight time of about 320 seconds and a hit accuracy of 5000 meters.

This kind of rocket has been quite advanced. It can be said that it has reached the level of V-2 missile in history a few years ahead of time. However, hilrick has raised a very sharp problem now. The propellant is not suitable!

First of all, it is the problem of liquid oxygen. It should be stored at low temperature! The storage of minus 183 degrees is the biggest problem when using it.

Now, even when filling liquid oxygen, you can see that a thick layer of frost has formed on the outside of the filling pipe. At the same time, the filling personnel are also very dangerous.

On the other hand, the cost of alcohol is very low, but the energy of burning this thing is low. Look at later generations, there is almost no use of alcohol as fuel.

If you use liquid oxygen, you can simply use liquid hydrogen and directly engage in liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen engines. This kind of engine is only used in the highest stage of the rocket, with the highest specific impulse and the greatest technical difficulty.

The next level, more commonly used, is the liquid oxygen kerosene engine. Unfortunately, this thing is not generally difficult. Only Lao maozi has conquered it. It will be many years later.

Therefore, we need to find more commonly used ones.

What fuel?

Of course, unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine and nitrous oxide, or nitric acid!

Although unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine is highly toxic and carcinogenic, it can be stored at room temperature. Together with nitrogen tetroxide, it is a common fuel for later Rockets! As soon as the two come into contact, they don't need to ignite, they can touch directly!

So, when Braun asked for advice on what was more appropriate, shirek of course said the common scheme directly.

"There is no need to store at low temperature. Just wear a gas mask when filling. I think my plan should be more appropriate. If you think it is feasible, you might as well try it." Said Shrek.

In fact, Braun certainly felt that the liquid oxygen scheme was inappropriate. The preparation of this kind of rocket before each launch was not only dangerous, but also very complex. If there was room temperature propellant, it would be much easier. However, he had never thought about it.

Unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine, nitrous oxide? Well, it seems that it can be the focus of the next aspect.

"In addition to the engine, another focus of improvement is the inertial navigation system." Hilrick continued: "our domestic electronic technology is constantly improving. We use our advanced electronic technology to transform our inertial navigation system to make this missile have higher accuracy."

In history, Hitler attached great importance to V-2 missiles, which was a big killer tailored for Britain. In World War II, Germany launched thousands of V-2 missiles to Britain, of which only more than 70% landed within 30 kilometers around the target, and about 40% landed within 10 kilometers.

What is this concept? Almost no one can hit the target! Therefore, although Germany looks aggressive, in fact, this missile is useless. The main reason is that the accuracy is too poor!

Unless equipped with nuclear warheads, it can only play the role of intimidation. Of course, in a sense, it has also achieved this role. Britain has nothing to do with this missile, and they can't intercept it.

This contributed to the crazy development of missiles by various countries after World War II.

Improve accuracy! Let this missile have real use value!

Braun agrees with hilrick's proposal. Hilrick is right!

"After filling, you can launch!" Just then, an assistant said.

At this time, there are not so many programs. Start the gyro. The target data is set before. Now, you can ignite!

Fire!

With Braun's order, the bottom of the black missile sent out a fierce flame!

The turbine pumped fuel and oxidant into the engine and ignited it. The high temperature of more than 2000 degrees gushed out from behind!

In the blazing flame, the missile took off from the launching pad on the ground! Hitler's eyes watched the rise of missiles, as if his empire was taking off!
