Lena stood frozen. She was internally screaming repeatedly, "What just happened?"

"Did he just suggest having lunch out? He held my hand off his own accord? He suggested having lunch out?"

This was all too much! She felt attacked.

She did not think what she was doing would bring them close so quick. she had assumed it would take a while before he opened up to her. She was willing to try.

His response to her actions were more than expected.

Her eyes teared causing Chamberlain to panic, he cupped her face, "What's wrong? Did I say something wrong?"

He did not understand the concept of tears of joy.

She quickly shook her head before embracing him tightly.

"What's wrong?" He repeated whilst rubbing her hair.

"I'm happy." She said chuckling.

"What?" His thoughts were, "If you're happy, why are you crying?"

She tried explaining, "This is the first time so…"

He was speechless. Yes, before now he wanted to run away from his responsibility, he didn't think he would eventually grow close to her.

It was all still unbelievable. To him this was a dream.

Perhaps, it really was a dream… Was there anything wrong with enjoying this sweet dream?

"Where would you like to eat?" He spoke still patting her hair.

Lena was in cloud nine. Like a cat declaring Chamberlain was her person, she rubbed her head against him.

"Oh his scent!" She exclaimed as she sniffed him, she wanted this feeling to last.

"His chest… how muscular!" She added, happy it was hers.

While she was daydreaming Carl pushed the door open.

They quickly drew apart, coughing hysterically.

Carl sensed they were in the middle of something. He snickered, "Sorry for interrupting. I have something on. So I'll leave now."

Chamberlain blushed at his words.Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click www.webnovel.com for visiting.

After Carl left, Chamberlain cleared his throat.

"Let's go." As easily as he said those words, he intertwined their hands leading her outside.

They walked amidst squeals and whispers of employees who had never seen them so close.

They had even begun to wonder if they were actually newly weds.

It wasn't news newly weds can't keep their hands of each other.

The public display of emotion was too sudden, they weren't prepared for it.

Lena stared at their hands that were interlocked, lost in thought.

His eyes grew gentle when he noticed what she was doing. He never thought holding hands could please her so much.

All the way to the car, she was still staring at their hands.

"Why do you always have your head hanging low? Look at me." He demanded.

However, he was the first to look away when he noticed her intense gaze.

Clearing his throat, he conveniently changed topic, "Anyway, you still haven't decided where to eat."

"I'm fine with any place." She said before resting her head on his shoulder.

He paused for a bit before saying, "Ok then."

They rode in comfortable silence to have lunch. By the time they returned, Carl was nowhere to be seen.

Of course, he was going to use that chance to run off. He did not bother to return to work that day.

After work, Chamberlain and Lena drove home while chatting amicably.

When she went to take a shower, Lena began thinking about ways to make Chamberlain enamored. She recalled the article she had read online and wondered if she was moving too fast.

She enjoyed each moment with him she wanted them to last forever. She wanted more.

But then, if she didn't make a move, would he?

After showering, she put on just his shirt and laid on the bed.

She wasn't hoping to get him to sleep with her, she only wanted to make him see as a woman.

She couldn't think of a better way to indirectly say, "I'm your woman."

As soon as he was done showering, he joined her in bed.

Instinctively, she drew towards him, to rest in his embrace. Without much thought, he welcomed her. Besides, they have been doing this for a while.

It was simply cuddling to bed, it wasn't that bad.

Then he noticed she was his shirt, he paused.

Lena froze again. She didn't ask for his permission. What if he didn't like it?

"I…" she was unsure how to explain.

She was waiting for him to say something so she could tell what to do next.

Chamberlain, out of curiosity pulled down the duvet. He was met with her milky legs.

And because she was lying down, the long shirt wasn't as long anymore.

He again saw more than he bargained for. Unlike the last time, he didn't try to run away. He gently pulled up the duvet and reprimanded her, "You'll catch a cold wearing that."

Lena gave him a warm smile, "You're here, how can I catch a cold?"

Like a dog who hadn't seen it's owner for a long time, she pounced on him, embracing him, not wanting to let go.

Seeing as he conveniently wrapped his hands around her waist, she assumed he was fine with her wearing nothing but his shirt in his presence and even hugging him.

At that moment, Lena felt that the barrier between them wasn't too big of a mountain, she could easily going through it with a single trial.

Chamberlain rubbed her back gently until she fell asleep. He chuckled lightly as he watched her sleep. She was just like a child so carefree and naive.

A little part of him was glad she was.
