Chapter 91 – I Like You Very Much!

The next two hours were the most incredible hours that Shu Shu had in her entire life. She felt like she was Cinderella selected by a fairy godmother and at the same time, Harry Potter, who received his first letter from the owl. She couldn’t believe that Su Jin actually picked her whimsical proposal!

Did she use up all the luck in her life to get this precious opportunity?

Her steps were erratic as she drifted towards the conference room.

Before entering the room, she bore a dumbfounded expression, her head still wrapped in a bubble. In this bewildering state, she had thought about whether all of these were only a dream. She was exhausted, so she must have taken a long nap on her desk and dreamed that Su Jin, her idol for a long time, admired her work.

But when she looked up and saw the elegant figure by the long conference table, she suddenly realized that she was not dreaming. Because with her barren imagination, she could not fabricate such a graceful sight.

Shu Shu has never told any of her colleagues that she was a fan of Su Jin. Because in her heart, she always thought that chasing stars was a “private matter.” She silently pays attention to Su Jin’s works and makes money to purchase products she endorses.

On Su Jin’s birthday, she swore to herself that she would go to her official fan’s club gathering and leave a gift.

People say that chasing stars is beyond reach, especially for people like her. Su Jin is the most popular traffic actress, and Shu Shu, on the other hand, is just a little shrimp struggling bravely in the sea called ‘fashion circle.’

She hoped that one day she could stand in front of Su Jin through her own efforts and proudly say, “I am your fan!”

And now, she is nearing her success.

Shu Shu seemed to have gotten inside a colorful kaleidoscope. She didn’t know how she could possibly hold down her rapid heartbeat, narrate her creative ideas as eloquent as possible, and show her powerpoint prepared in advance.

Su Jin was sitting on the main seat with a pen and paper in her hand. Her manager and the editor-in-chief of the magazine were seated beside her, on her left and right side respectively. She listened carefully and raised many vital questions about the content of the shoot.

She was unlike any other who sit idle while others decide for her. The Su Jin in front of her is not a vase beauty!

She argues, understands aesthetics, and is concise and comprehensive when being asked. She also urged to discuss everything in detail.

Shu Shu liked her gentle, considerate side on-screen and her sharp and rational side off-screen.

She used to think that the so-called star chasers are a group of people living in this ordinary world, looking up to have a glimpse of the stars in the sky. It was not until now that she realized that the one she was chasing was not an average star among the many, but the sun in the sky that sprinkles warmth.

And the same sun who inspired her to move forward all these years.

The two-hour meeting passed quickly; they refined the shooting content and quickly finalized the specific shooting time.

Everything went smooth.

The editor-in-chief took Shu Shu with him and sent Su Jin and her manager outside of the publishing house. They waited for a while under the heat of the sun until Su Jin’s nanny car stopped in front of them.

Before getting on her car, Su Jin motioned her hand to Shu Shu—the latter was beyond shocked at this gesture.

“Your name is Shu Shu, right?” Su Jin’s tone was bright and clear. “At such a young age, you are so full of inspiration and wonderful ideas. I look forward to working with you again if given a chance.”

Immediately, Shu Shu’s breathing escalated, and the throbbing of her heart suddenly accelerated, urging her to express her feelings.

“That… Miss Su, in fact, I am your fan.” She thought, this may be the last chance to get in close contact with her idol, so she better make use of it.

“You certainly don’t remember, but at the beginning of this year, a fan group organized a visit to Hengdian. We were trapped in the airport due to heavy rain. Thankfully, you asked your assistant to bring us umbrellas and hot milk teas, and also assigned someone to drive us to the hotel.” Her cheeks gradually grew red. “I still have the umbrella.”

Su Jin’s gentleness and consideration for others were two of the reasons why Shu Shu idolized her.

“Miss Su Jin, the thruth is…” Shu Shu took a deep breath, gathered up her courage, and firmly said what she had buried inside her for a long time, “I like you very much!

As soon as she poured out her words, the faces of Fang Xie and the editor-in-chief of the magazine turned conflicted. The eyes of the two men became round as if she had said something a bit scandalous.

It took Shushu several seconds to realize how ambiguous her words sounded. Her face flushed, and she stammered, “Ah, that, that’s not what I meant!! I like Miss Su the way fans like their idols! Besides, I have a boyfriend, I mean … I have been her fan since her debut, I—”

“Thank you for your love and support—“The corners of Su Jin’s lips slightly raised. Even the sun on the horizon could not match with her charm, “—I also like myself very much.”
