She paused a little in her way. She was certain that running into Qin ZiMing was no coincidence.
Qin ZiMing stood up straight when he saw her. Waving at her, he said, “Nie AnAn, come over here.”

Nie AnAn frowned and immediately turned around and started walking away.
Qin ZiMing called out from behind her, “Do you want to know why Huo YanXiao agreed to the betrothal?”
Nie AnAn stopped on her way, but didn’t turn around.

Having said that, his voice turned into a tease. “I will tell you if you come over here.”
Nie AnAn finally turned back around and walked over to him.

He was disgusted by her before, after all, he didn’t think any man would find that kind of face tattoos attractive.
The day that he saw her with all her tattoos removed, he didn’t recognize her right away. However, it was the first day that he found the girl stunning and his interest was piqued.
Later on, after he found out who she was, the feeling of disgust had returned.
But, after he had her cooking and saw the way that she looked at Huo YanXiao, he realized that everything that the girl had done before was intentional.

He looked at the nice and docile girl in front of him who had, for the sake of Huo YanXiao, willingly dressed herself in that god-awful way and got close to him intentionally. Even after being insulted by him time and again, she still didn’t give up. Qin ZiMing felt a poisonous vine growing in his heart. It burned through his calm and rational demeanor that he was putting up.
“Do you want to know what they have told me?” A sense of darkness rose in his usually gentle eyes. “Come closer and I will tell you.”
Nie AnAn didn’t move. Qin ZiMing took a step forward and quickly decreased the distance between the two of them.
Somewhere inside the wooden area, a picture of the two was quietly taken.
“It was because my father had told him that if he’d form the alliance with the Nie’s through this marriage, he would transfer a portion of the Qin’s stocks over to Huo YanXiao,” said Qin ZiMing in Nie AnAn’s ear in a low voice. “Now that you’ve found out the truth, do you still want to marry him?”
