Nie AnAn blinked, wiped away some of the rain on her face, and climbed onto Huo YanXiao’s back.
He stood up steadily and started walking forward with her on his back.
It was raining quite heavily. Nie AnAn barely looked up at the path in front of them and felt that her face hurt.
Ji YunChuan and the crew member, walking in front of them, started stumbling on their way. Obviously, the rain made it difficult for them to keep their eyes open.
Huo YanXiao, on the other hand, walked quite steadily. Nie AnAn buried her face on his shoulder. With the exception of the rain next to her ears, she couldn’t hear anything else.
Yuanyuan Inn wasn’t far from where they were. When they showed up at the inn, all the other crew members let out a sigh of relief.
Immediately, they saw Nie AnAn carried by Huo YanXiao.
They didn’t have time to ask why Huo YanXiao was there. As soon as they heard that Nie AnAn was injured, they quickly went to retrieve the first aid kit.
Huo YanXiao carried Nie AnAn to her room on the second floor.
The room wasn’t very big. Just two beds and a couch. He put her down on the couch. Seeing that her wounds have stopped bleeding, he said, “AnAn, why don’t you rinse them with some hot water before I treat them.”
Ever since Nie AnAn had seen Huo YanXiao, she hasn’t been able to say anything to him. Now, looking at the man who was drenched, there was suddenly an indescribable feeling inside of her. She threw herself into Huo YanXiao’s arms.
He put his arms around her, patted her gently on her back, and said, “Go, take a hot shower. You don’t want to catch a cold.”
Nie AnAn rubbed her head against his chest a couple times before she nodded docilely and walked inside the bathroom with a clean set of clothes.
Outside of the bathroom, Huo YanXiao asked a crew member, “Excuse me, will I still be able to get a room?”
The crew member told him with difficulty, “We apologize, Mr. Huo. We have rented out all of our rooms. Even our guests share bedrooms. We really don’t have any available rooms.”
Having said that, he seemed to have recalled something and quickly made a call. “Hold on, Mr. Huo. Let me check with the other inns.”
Nonetheless, after he had checked with Fangfang, Bianbian, or Tuotuo, none of them had any vacancy.
Nie AnAn had just walked out after her shower in her casual clothes. Hearing what the crew member had told him, she felt troubled as well.
She was sharing a room with Qin Ziyi. All the other female guests also shared rooms. As far as she could recall, Li ManGe was the only one who had a room by herself as there was an odd number of female guests.
With her relationship with Li ManGe, Nie AnAn couldn’t possibly go and share a room with her.
Just when everyone was trying to come up with a solution, Qin Ziyi suddenly said out of the blue, “AnAn, aren’t you and Brother Xiao already engaged? I can go share the room with Li ManGe for the night. You and Brother Xiao can share this room.”
Her words shocked all the crew members that were there.
Even though the marriage alliance between the Nie’s and the Huo’s was not a secret, it also wasn’t something the regular crew members of the show would have known.
After the initial awkwardness, everybody’s tone became much more natural. “Okay, AnAn, we didn’t know Huo YanXiao is your fiancé. Then the room arrangement is not a problem at all!”
