“What happened?”

Owen put his hand away at Damia’s anxious question and showed his nape. The skin was slightly red and swollen but clear without a trace.

“Fortunately, it went well. Your father is now free.”

She saw this, covered her mouth with both hands and burst into tears. Then she ran to Owen’s arms and hugged him as hard as she could.

“That’s great, Dad!!”

“Oh, my!”

A smile bloomed on Owen’s face as he embraced his grown-up daughter. He stroked her red hair, who looked exactly like his wife, with a loving hand.

“You’ve been through a lot, haven’t you?”

He had always considered her his young and cute daughter—so when did she grow up so much? Owen, who received great help from Damia, greatly admired and was proud of his daughter.

“Why are you crying? Huh? I’m going to tear up.”

Owen wiped her tears away by rubbing his daughter’s cheek with his crude hand. And he added something unexpected:

“You shouldn’t show tears from now on. It’s a rule to always show a strong, sturdy image without being shaken.”

At that, Damia’s eyes widened, and she looked up at her father. Owen nodded firmly at her questioning gaze.

“Damia Primula, my daughter. I don’t think there’s a better heir to lead the family than you.”

“So I don’t need a son-in-law to take over,” Owen laughed.

A new family business, a new home. And a new successor. At a glance, the Primula family’s future was very bright.

Along with the bright light, an overwhelming power he had never experienced wrapped around his body. Then, a warm aura surged, dispelling all remaining pain and discomfort.

“It’s done.”

Callistea’s voice seemed rather exhausted. And the sickening bandage covering one of his eyes all along was undone.

“Open your eyes. Carefully, slowly.”

In response to those words, Akkard raised his eyelids slowly. Unlike the normal eye, the eye that had just been regenerated stung, making it difficult to see.

The light pierced his vision like a spear, Akkard closed his eyes again. A soft voice next to him encouraged him.

“Try it one more time. It’s okay to blink a lot.”

It was a serious voice as if it was her own eyes. Led by that encouragement, he opened his eyes.

His watering eyes blinked convulsively. Then the blinking rate slowed down, and at some point, his eyes focused.

The sun shone in the blurry vision. No, were there fluttering rose petals?

A white face seen through the rich red hair stared at him anxiously. The blue eyes in that slender face asked him.

“… … how is it? Can you see me?”

Miraculously, the moment he met those eyes, his vision focused and became clear. Akkard nodded, feeling the world much wider now that he could see with two eyes.

“Yes.”

“Can you see me?”

Damia stretched out her slender hand and waved it in front of him. Her face that looked into his regenerated purple eyes seemed to be relieved, but still anxious.

“Do you know who I am?”

Of course, I know.

One of his eyes had always been intact, but Damia seemed to have forgotten.

At her absurd question, Akkard couldn’t contain his overflowing affection and smiled. What he sees now is not just the face of a pretty woman. It was love.

His love, the world, questioned him.

“Sir Akkard?”

“I can see you well, Dami. You do not have to worry.”

Upon hearing his answer, she finally let out a sigh of relief. She had worried that he had permanently lost an eye, but he was lucky.

Heinrich, who watched the scene with his arms crossed from behind, was equally satisfied. He praised Callistea, who was exhausted and sat in the chair.

“You have amazing powers, Callistea. I’m sure you’re still not feeling well, but thank you for treating Sir Akkard.”

“No, of course, this is what I have to do.”

Damia turned to Callistea, who said that. With her dark hair and blue eyes, she certainly looked a lot like Calix.

‘And Cesare.’
