As they see the lifeless head of their sister, they go crazy.
"AAAAAH!!!"
As they scream mournfully, their bodies start to absorb the nearby miasma into them. And as they do that their black armors start to turn red.
Shit. They went berserk. As they absorb the miasma, red colored whip and spear materialize in their arms.
"I WILL KILL YOU!!!"
Spear wielding one lunges at me with a thrust. I barely manage to dodge to my right. I think their speed got increased too. Just as I jump to my right to dodge, red whip appears in front of me and entangles itself around my neck and flings me into the wall.
Just as I orient myself by shaking my head, spear skewers my gut. Couldn't help but vomiting blood. And just as I was about to get down, whip on my neck tugs again, flinging me into another wall with the spear still in my guts.
Shit, this is getting dangerous.
And just as I was getting desperate, I sense something calling to me from inside my soul. Fenrir. I suppose he finally woke up.
I let him out just as the whip gets tugged again and flings me again. But I don't see Fenrir anywhere even though I summoned him.
And just as I was wondering that, I see whip wielding succubus's shadow crawl up from beneath her and bind her, stopping her long enough for me to get free from her whip around my neck. But just as I land on my feet another spear pierces through my chest and pins me into the wall.
Shit, this is getting annoying. Just as I orient myself again, I see the spear wielding one running up to me with another spear in her hand. Just as I saw that I put my left arm forth and pump vitality into it. As I do that my left arm expands outward and entangles the succubus just before she manages to skewer me again.
She waves her spear around, breaking my branches. But more she struggles like that, more vitality I pump into my arm. Soon my branches imprison her whole. After covering her in my branch prison, I start to tighten it around her.
While doing that I look to the other succubus and see her struggling with her own shadow. And just as I got distracted for a moment, I feel another stinging feeling on my left side and see red spear breaking through my branches and piercing into my left side.
And as soon as the spear pierce through my side, it starts to extend again, skewering through my sides. As that happens, I immediately tighten the branches even faster.
CRUNCH
As I tighten it harder, I hear bone crunching from the inside. After few seconds, red spear skewering me starts to dissipate into red miasma and disintegrates into nothing.
"AAAAHHH!!!"
Just as that happened, as if she felt her sister's death, last one screams on top of her lungs again. As I look to her direction, I see her glaring at me with blood red eyes from behind her helmet.
Her whip turns into two daggers in her hands. With those she cut through the shadows binding her. She charges at me as soon as she got free and tackles me with all her strength.
As soon as she got on top of me, she immediately pins my left arm with her dagger to the floor. I think she realized my left arm can regrow. Instead she slices off my right arm with her left dagger. And just as she was about to stab me in the head with her dagger, she gets hit by a black fireball from behind and gets thrown away from above me.
I look to where the fireball came from and see Fenrir's head peeking out from a shadow. Shit. My right arm got amputated. And it hurts like hell. But first I need to kill this enraged bitch before she kills me.
She charges at me again after stopping. I take a deep breath, and spew fire just as she starts charging me. And that was a wrong decision. As she doesn't stop and keeps charging through the flames and tackles me again.
But this time as she tackles me, I punch her in the temple. My second mistake. She just endures that and brings down her dagger at my head.
Just as she does that, she gets enveloped in a dark fog. I swerve my head to my right and see the dagger stabbing floor next to my head. Shit! That was too close. Now that she is stationary, I will my mana to take a shape of spears protruding from the ground and skewer her from sides.
As I see the dagger dissipating away, I confirm her death. As if he knew she was dead, Fenrir too pulls away his dark fog.
As the fog disappears, I see her skewered with my spears. What's unsettling is not that, but her blood red eyes still glaring at me with malice and hot red fury.
I suppose they loved each other dearly.
As I stand up, I see her body dissipating into red vapor like her dagger. Only the sword wielding one's corpse is left intact. I'm sure spear wielding one's body is gone too inside my prison.
"Whoo. Thanks for the support, little one."
I say that as I look to Fenrir standing next to me. He simply stares at the door leading to the main lobby. I think he senses whatever's in there.
While he looks to the door, I pick up my amputated right arm and presses it against the wound. It thinks my world tree knew that my right arm was still intact seeing my right arm's wound is still fresh.
As I press my arm onto the wound, it gets attached back to the wound and heals itself only leaving a scar behind. I was lucky that she cut it off with a dagger. Because of that cut was clean. It was like putting the puzzle pieces together.
I sit cross-legged on the floor for a while to heal my body and relax a little. After sitting for about ten minutes I get up and walk toward the door leading to the main hall.
Whatever's behind it is responsible for that red magic circle.
While walking I look back the sword wielder.
"I hope whoever you sacrificed your lives for is worth it."
As I come before the door Fenrir melds into my shadow and disappears. Well that is convenient. Now let's see what's behind this door.
