When Jia turned to leave, a hand suddenly touched her shoulder. She almost jumped in fear.
"I won't allow you to go alone anywhere, anymore! " Anthon said angrily.
"You scared me! " She snorted, wondering how much he heard.
"It's too dangerous! "
Jia ignored his concern. "How did you know I am here? "
"I followed you. "
"How did you know I went out? "She asked further.
"Secret. " He smiled as he wrapped his arm tighter as they walked back towards the car.
Of course, he wouldn't tell her that the guards were his accomplices. And that he slept in the couch near the door. He knew that everytime Jia was troubled, she would always sneak out to go to a quiet place early in the morning or late at night. He was too afraid he would miss her escapades, knowing that his marriage proposal was troubling her.
When they reached the side of the road where Jia parked, she wondered why his car was not there.
"I let someone bring it back to the house. " He said, as if he read her mind.
After opening up the door for her, he slid into the driver's seat and drove towards the hills outside the city. Jia fell asleep on the way, perhaps because of the few sleepless nights she had endured due to her emotional troubles.
When she woke up, she was already inside a room. She looked around and realized she was sleeping in the arm of a snoring man while his other arm was hugging her. She smiled, the feeling was undeniably, beautiful!
Sensing her movement, he opened his eyes and saw her smiles. He pulled her closer and kissed her forehead.
"Get up. I'll show you something. "
"Where are we? " She asked as he held her hand and lead her to the glass wall at the far end of the room.
All of a sudden, she got awed at what she saw! It was a vast stretch of a kaliedoscopic flower farm, turning the slopes and plains into a sea of beautiful colors!
"Wow! Sooo lovely. " She said, gaping at the splendid sight.
"As lovely as you are. " He said, as he looked down at her affectionately.
"Is this the April's Garden? " She asked, still overwhelmed in amazement at his wonderful surprise.
"Yes. April because it's your birthmonth! "
Tears of mixed emotion suddenly loomed in the corners of her eyes. She just realized how deep was Anthon's love for her. She then reached out to him, gently pulled his head down and kissed him.
"Thank you, Ton. " She said tearfully, her heart was in her throat.
"Do not cry, yet. I still have something to show you. "
She laughed. Such a silly man to make her heart burst again in so much flattery! How did Mr. Wayne produce two offsprings who were both willing to give their everything for a woman?
Anthon led her around the glass - built retreat house equipped with elegant furnitures in fabulous designs. Everything around was so lovely, a full reflection of Anthon's perfect craftmanship.
"Is this your house also? " She asked to confirm, no longer wondering. This was surely his!
"I sold that dream house I built for you because I thought I could move on with Anna. But the more I tried to forget, the more it became difficult."
He paused for a while and laughed at himself.
"And since you already have that house which Jim asked me to build for you, I decided on this one as a retreat house because I know you would love the scenic views. "
The more Jia sank in awe and in inexplicable joy. Not because of the physical value but the thought and affection that came with it.
Anthon then handed her an envelope. She looked at him with furrowed brows. One more surprise, and she would explode!
"My wedding gift for you. " He smiled, amused at her tearful reaction.
She then opened it and saw a deed of ownership. The house and the flower farm were named under her!
Not only that, the third paper stated the deed of sale of Blue Whale Mountain Resort under her name again, notarized by Kuya Nap himself!
These were too much for her heart to accomodate that she couldn't hold back her tears anymore.
"Is this your reward for losing my virginity to you? " She said in between her tears.
" Isn't that worth it? " He asked with a smile, overjoyed at her happiness.
"It's too much! " She replied.
"Can we now start planning our wedding? "
Suddenly feeling nervous at the thought of changing her name, she didn't reply right away, making Anthon scared. Finally, after few minutes, she spoke up.

"I want a beach wedding... on April 28."

"Tonton will pick you up in few minutes. "
