After leaving a stunned Amy alone, Ryan rushed to his room. Shutting the door with a bang , he took a deep breath to calm himself down.
Being near Amy is too dangerous for his heart. Her every single actions made him go crazy with love. Staring at the ceiling for a while, he then pledged to control his emotions.
He doesn't want to spoil their relationship with his reckless actions. For him the current pace itself is a good one. He'll take it slowly until Amy finds herself comfortable around him. Moreover they are married and he has no plan of letting her escape from his hands.
With this decision, he refreshed himself and went to the kitchen to prepare lunch. As health conscious person, Ryan mostly cooks for himself. Amidst his busy schedule, cooking allows him to relax a bit.
Moreover today is Amy's first day at his place, so he wants to cook for her.
In her room, Amy is confused about Ryan's sudden cold behavior. After a while, tiredness started to overcome her so she allows herself to take a warm bath. Feeling refreshed she started exploring the house.
On reaching the kitchen, she saw a tall figure preparing lunch. Upon seeing his serious expression, even while cooking a smile bloomed on her face. Apart her mother, this is the first time someone has cooked for her. This itself made her so happy.
Feeling her gaze, Ryan turned to look at her. "Hey.. Feeling good?"
"Yeah! need any help?"
"Mmm... No. I'm good. Just wait, I'll finish it soon."
"Ok... then I'll help you to set the table"
"Sure." With that Amy started to arrange the table. She felt good cause this is the first time after marriage, that they are able to converse freely.
On the other side, Ryan is also happy with their conversation. Helping one another, though it is not much, he felt comfortable.
Both of them had their lunch in silence, as they have no idea what to talk. Finishing it, with the plan of unpacking her luggage Amy started moving upstairs but Ryan's voice made her halt her steps.
"I would like to speak with you about your job." When she heard these words, Amy is amused but still obliged to his request.
Ryan wants to rope her to his side, but he doesn't want it to be so sudden. He has already devised a plan for that.
Once both of them have seated on the couch, Ryan continued with his conversation.
"My father's friend is in need of an assistant. I thought..maybe.. if you want I can suggest you for that."
Amy's face darkened a bit. All through her life she had never depended on another person. And she wants to get her job through her hard work. Though the other person is her husband she doesn't want that to happen. But before she could voice out her thoughts, Ryan started to speak again.
"I know that you are not fond of me helping you, but this job is a temporary one. You have to work there for about three months. Moreover you'll get more experience, which will definitely help you in the future. It's not bad to get a little help, right?"
Amy's relaxed upon hearing his explanation and she found that nothing is wrong with the reasoning. After contemplating for a short period of time, she has no choice but to agree for his plan.
While showing his poker face, Ryan is grinning wide in his mind thinking: "Everything is going according to my plan."
"Ok, now you can rest. I've some work at my office, so have to leave now. Tomorrow evening I'll take you to meet your employer" he said with a gentle smile on his face.
Nodding her head, Amy went to her room. At the room, when she has been thinking whether she has done a right thing by accepting this new job she heard the sound of the engine being started.
Jumping from her bed, she rushed to the window to see a black car leaving the compound.
