"Gambling again... isn't there another way?" asked William

"Well you can't join the military at your age, you could get hired as a guard to one of the upper rank lords but I doubt they'll pay you in high tier soul stones. At your cultivation rank you'd get mid tier stones at best, if the lord was being generous. If you were gold rank they'd be more willing to pay a high tier soul stone." replied Nin Li

"What other ways are there to obtain high tier soul stones?" asked William.

"You could go to a guild and complete a bounty, although it'll probably take some time to complete. Not to mention a bounty that pays high tier soul stones will probably be difficult for you." said Nin Li and continued.

"Another way to get high tier soul stones would be to win them in a tournament. Although, I'm not familiar with any tournaments at this time or if the prizes will even include a high tier soul stone. Really the best way I can think of to get some right now is to gamble" replied Nin Li.

"Alright, so let's head to the city. I'm positive I can defeat any of those thugs in the silver ranks maybe even a one star gold." replied William.

"Thugs... you think those common street thugs would even be able to cover a bet of a high tier soul stone. No, there's only one place on Feros that would accept a bet that large." replied Nin Li

Although, we may have some trouble getting in..." said Nin Li looking depressed.

"Oh why's that?" asked William

"Well I had a little trouble the last time I was there, and uh they um... banned me kinda..." replied Nin Li with an embarrassed face.

"They banned you? Why?" asked William.

"Well... There might have been some words exchanged here and there, some of the guards might have slipped and fell in into my fist... and maybe I might have tripped and broken a few of the referee's ribs..." mumbled Nin Li with her face red of embarrassment.

"They slipped into your fist? Broke the referee's ribs...? Oh Nin Li tell me you didn't..." replied William

"Well the guy I bet on definitely took a dive! He could have easily won the fight if he wasn't pretending to be injured!" yelled Nin Li embarrassed

"That's actually the reason master doesn't let me handle gold coins anymore." replied Nin Li

"Well I suppose it can't be helped now, I'll have to go on my own, just take me there and I'll go in by myself." replied William

"Young master you can't! That place it's got some very bad people in there, and some very powerful guys are there. They are even more powerful than the lords of Feros men, that's mostly why no one messes with them." replied Nin Li with a worried face.

"You can't go in there without me, the way you have to talk to those people is very different than the thugs on the street. They might not even let you in and if they do they might just rob you." said Nin Li.

"Fine, but you already said you can't go in. Unless... Nin Li can't you just change into someone else when you transform into your human form?" asked William.

"Well no I can't, it's not really a transformation. It's a spell that allows me to change my race so I end looking like myself as a human, and my elven transformation looks too similar to my human form. The other races wouldn't go to that place." replied Nin Li.

"Well isn't there a spell that you can use to change your appearance? I know humans have one" replied William.

"Not one that lasts long enough, or that doesn't consume a lot of mana which I might need. However, there might be something that will definitely hide my identity, something that would fool even a wizard who practices visual spells." replied Nin Li.

"What's that?" asked William.

"Master's "Thousand Faces" ring..." replied Nin Li with a serious face.

"Thousand faces... Interesting, so let's borrow it." replied William

"We can't borrow, he would never lend it to us! Specially if he knew what we wanted it for!" replied Nin Li

"Let me give it a shot" replied William and walked away.

William walked into Moj Dak's office and approached him.

"Moj Dak, I want to head into the city tomorrow morning, but I'm afraid I'll run into those guys once more. I'm positive someone will recognize my face the second I step into the city. Would you be willing to lend me your "Thousand Faces" ring so that I can change my appearance every time I go to the city." asked William as he took out one thousand two hundred low tier soul stones and immediately disintegrated.

"That sounds reasonable, why not?" replied Moj Dak with a smile as he removed his ring and handed it to William.

William walked back to Nin Li and handed her the ring.

"See, I told you he'd understand" replied William.

"You... used mind control on him, how? Even with the soul stones, master has a high resistance to it because of his first spell type "Wisdom"" replied Nin Li surprised.

"It's true, normally I might have needed ten high tier soul stones to cast a mind control spell on him. However, not to mention that mind control is my first spell. Another way to amplify mind control spells is by using the truth, and it being something that the person it was cast on at least had a possibility of doing naturally." replied William

"So you see, deep inside Moj Dak wanted to lend us his ring" replied William.

"Young master, you are more mischievous then I initially thought" replied Nin Li.

"If you say so..." replied William.

"Now that she says it, this might be general Ja'aduk's influence. Doing anything to get what he needed." thought William.

"Well I'm off to bed, see you in the morning Nin Li" said William as he proceeded to his bed room.

Nin Li stared at William as he walked away still surprised at what he'd done.

"Good night" yelled Nin Li once she saw William was about to enter his room.
