In the tranquil late summer afternoon, with occasional sounds of insects, Pei Xia slowly opened his eyes in a simple and cozy room.

He had been awakened by hunger.

Last night, the activities had gone on until dawn, and Pei Xia had finally fallen into a deep sleep. Being a Holy Knight who had expended a lot of energy without replenishing with breakfast or lunch, his stomach was now growling.

As he recollected the passionate night from yesterday, Pei Xia could feel his face flushing again. He abruptly sat up, looking around and shaking his head to scan the room, but he couldn’t spot Lucifer’s presence.

This secretly relieved him.

Due to the combination of alcohol and medication, he hadn’t felt entirely like himself last night. He still vividly remembered the scenes that had turned him red with embarrassment.

Pei Xia began to get dressed, examining himself and noticing no obvious marks. Lucifer had used Light magic to heal his fatigue and minor injuries, leaving only one area untouched.

The sensations in that particular area weren’t due to any injuries but rather an odd and undeniable lingering feeling. As for the exterior, he vaguely remembered Lucifer saying it was a punishment before he fell asleep, which was why it hadn’t been healed despite Pei Xia’s pleas. In a way, it served as a reminder of their passionate night.

Pei Xia couldn’t help but chuckle, covering his face with his hand and silently cursing Lucifer for being petty.

Just as he thought about the Holy Son, the door creaked open, and Lucifer walked in carrying a tray. He had a rather pleased smile on his face.

“I guessed you’d wake up soon,” Lucifer said, placing the tray on the table and gesturing for Pei Xia to come and have some food.

Meanwhile, Lucifer rested his chin on his folded hands, his eyes curved as he gazed at Pei Xia.

Pei Xia stood by the table, feeling a bit awkward. He picked up a bowl and a spoon and started to eat Beist’s specialty, a porridge made with sweet cream, roasted rice, tender wheat, and crushed nuts.

“Why don’t you sit down?” Lucifer asked, teasingly.

Pei Xia kept his head low, sipping his porridge and, after finishing, wiping his mouth. He then reached to rub the injured area and replied with a sheepish smile, “I’m fine standing.”

Pei Xia still remembered the events from last night. He had initially been somewhat skeptical of Lucifer’s true nature, but then Lucifer had personally confirmed it, leaving Pei Xia both pleasantly surprised and curious about why Lucifer had undergone such a significant transformation.

In addition to feeling slightly guilty for lying and carelessly confessing to it while drunk, Pei Xia wasn’t sure how to face Lucifer. He stood before Lucifer like a misbehaving elementary school student in front of a teacher, head hung low, hands behind his back, giving an appearance of self-reflection. He said, “I’m sorry; I didn’t mean to lie.”

After speaking, Pei Xia sneakily glanced at Lucifer. He appeared to be in a good mood, so Pei Xia thought he might get away with this.

However, Pei Xia had yet to see through Lucifer’s true intentions.

Lucifer wouldn’t let him off the hook so easily.

Lucifer suddenly let out a long sigh and looked melancholic, saying, “Pei Xia.”

“Hmm?” Pei Xia felt a bit puzzled by his sudden change of tone.

Lucifer coughed weakly as if he were a frail beauty who was delicate and trembling like a lotus in the rain. He continued, “Do you know how hurt I am?”

Pei Xia was taken aback, and he hurriedly went around the table to embrace Lucifer. “Fei Fei!”

Lucifer: “Ah.”

Pei Xia deeply reflected on his actions, full of regret. “You’re hurt? If I had known you were so fragile, I wouldn’t have done it so many times last night. I’m sorry. I’ll be more careful in the future!”

Lucifer: “Wait, that’s not what I meant.”

Pei Xia had already begun unbuttoning Lucifer’s clothing and spoke with deep affection, “Don’t be shy. We’ve done everything already. Fei Fei, let me check the severity of your injuries.”

Lucifer had a feeling that something wasn’t quite right. He gently sat up straight, holding Pei Xia’s wandering hand on his body and feeling a bit helpless. He guided Pei Xia to sit in his lap.

“Is there something wrong with my body? Don’t you already know?” Lucifer cleared his throat. “I meant my heart is injured.”

Pei Xia, with a somewhat swollen butt and feeling a bit awkward in his posture, hesitated but finally responded, “Why are you hurt? Did someone bully you?”

Lucifer: “Yes, this person really deceived me.”

Pei Xia: “You’re not talking about me, are you?”

Lucifer gave him a mournful look and pinched his soft flesh. “What do you think?”

Pei Xia scratched his head awkwardly and began to explain quietly. He initially thought that Lucifer was a homophobic straight guy, but later he assumed they both had similar preferences, which led to misunderstandings.

But clever Pei Xia didn’t forget to score some points for himself while explaining. He looked at Lucifer and said, “Even so, your beauty, purity, kindness, and charm have made me irresistibly fall in love with you. In moments like these, I realize that societal norms and labels are meaningless in the face of true love. See, this proves that I genuinely love you, so you mustn’t get angry anymore. You should praise me instead!” Pei Xia looked at Lucifer with a hint of expectation.

Lucifer, the beautiful, pure, kind, and charming holy son, had a momentary twitch of his lips.

He suddenly realized something.

In this game of love, there was more than one liar, and Pei Xia’s lies were clearly not enough to threaten their relationship. On the contrary, it could add a touch of excitement to their dynamic.

But Lucifer’s lie was much more serious.

Lucifer’s palm emitted a pure white holy light, healing the wounds on Pei Xia’s buttocks. Pei Xia shifted and sat happily on his lap, saying, “Fei Fei, are you no longer angry?”

Lucifer held his hand and lightly kissed it. “When have you seen me stay angry for long?”

Pei Xia thought about it seriously and then realized, “You were really angry at me earlier!”

Lucifer responded, “Well, what did you think?”

Pei Xia chuckled.

However, this question wasn’t too important. Lucifer had something more significant to say to him. He once again pecked a kiss on the knight’s strong and calloused hand and then looked deeply into his eyes.

“Pei Xia, if I told you that I’ve also lied, would you forgive me?”

This statement left Pei Xia somewhat bewildered because he couldn’t fathom what lie Lucifer might have told him. Lucifer was just the way he was, kind and pure. Even if he lied, it must be a well-intentioned one, right?

Pei Xia smiled at him and held his hand firmly, saying with sincerity, “Fei Fei, I believe that if it’s you, there must be a good reason for any lie.”

At that moment, looking at Pei Xia’s unwavering trust in him, Lucifer suddenly felt an impulse. He wanted to strip away the perfect and pure facade he had crafted for himself, to let this knight who had fallen in love with an illusion know the whole truth.

At that time, would he be frightened to tears or repent and run away?

His gaze, filled with aggression and sinister intent, remained firmly fixed on Pei Xia, who inexplicably started to feel nervous. “Fei Fei, if you’ve told a lie, can you tell me what it is?”

Lucifer smiled at him, and his pale pink lips parted and closed as he said, “Pei Xia, what if I’m not the way you’ve seen me?”

Pei Xia was momentarily taken aback but quickly understood. Sitting on Lucifer’s lap and holding his hand, he replied with understanding, “You mean to say that you’re not as pure as I thought? Actually, after last night, I’ve already come to understand. I think you’re just fine the way you are! As long as your kindness and gentleness remain, I don’t mind anything else. We’re already lovers, and you can share any concerns with me. I’ll support you!”

Lucifer’s hand tightened slightly, and he forced a smile. “Is that so?”

Pei Xia grinned and nodded, “Fei Fei, you’re the best!”

Lucifer lowered his gaze, lifting Pei Xia’s hand to his forehead, touching his skin, and after a moment of silence, he suddenly smiled and said, “I wanted to tell you that I’m not that fragile. Xia, this was an image I created to pursue you.”

In the end, the demon hidden beneath the beautiful facade shrank back.

Pei Xia exclaimed, “Huh?!”

Lucifer suddenly raised his head, and his deep, enigmatic eyes held unreadable undercurrents. With one hand gripping Pei Xia’s waist, he shed all the previous fragility and innocence, forcefully locking Pei Xia in his embrace.

“Is this acceptable, then?” he asked with a hint of dominance.

Pei Xia’s body trembled slightly. “Holy, Holy Son…”

Lucifer tilted his chin lightly, his long neck arched with a swan-like grace, proud and beautiful. “Pei Xia, do you like it?”

Pei Xia’s cheeks blushed, overwhelmed by the majestic beauty of the Holy Son. He nodded repeatedly.

So comforting! Fei Fei, you’re so adorable!

In fact, Pei Xia had long felt that Lucifer was somewhat peculiar, and now, with his explanation, he had a feeling of sudden enlightenment. As for Lucifer’s pursuit under the disguise of his own lie, Pei Xia was completely taken by his charm. While he hadn’t realized Lucifer was pursuing him, now that he had confessed, he was more than willing to accept it.

Pei Xia raised his hand to rest on Lucifer’s shoulder. “I like it.”

Lucifer leaned forward a bit more, cradling the back of Pei Xia’s head and gently forcing him to lift his chin and face him. Then, he kissed him deeply, full of aggression and conquest, leaving Pei Xia, the physically robust Holy Knight, breathless.

“Do you like it too?”

As the kiss ended, Pei Xia’s heart raced, and his legs felt weak. He replied in a dazed tone, “I love it, love it, Fei Fei. It’s even better now.”

Lucifer’s eyes glimmered slightly as he leaned in closer, his cool fingers gliding along the knight’s spine. “I told you last night, didn’t I? Don’t call me Fei Fei. Call me Lucifer.”

“Fei Fei.” Pei Xia hesitated for a moment, scratching his nose and blushing with embarrassment. “I’ve gotten used to it, and I really like calling you ‘Fei Fei.’ After all, besides me, no one else dares to call you like this.”

The melodious and enchanting voice, akin to the finest musical instrument playing, whispered in Pei Xia’s ear. Lucifer’s voice was calm and composed. “There’s nothing you can’t change. If you can’t do it yourself, then let me help you.”

Lucifer playfully bit Pei Xia’s earlobe and smiled, “Call me by my real name.”

Pei Xia’s eyes lit up, and he was delighted. “Really? Lucifer!”
