Drinking till 4 am I let Foggy sleep on the couch and placed Matt and Karen in the guest room in my 'small' apartment and went to sleep too.
Not getting drunk is sometimes really boring but the advantage is you don't get a hangover the next day.
After sleeping until 11 am, I made them food to survive the day and then left. Leaving only a note behind that said that I had something to do and that they could feel at home.
Stepping out of the building Natasha and Coulson are already waiting for me.
"Wow I get extra treatment today, two of the finest agents are picking me up"
Natasha only rolled her eyes and urged me to enter the black SUV, while Coulson only stared at me saying nothing.
Coulson then sat in the driver seat while Natasha was in the front passenger seat. I sat down in the back and made myself comfortable.
When Coulson looked at the back mirror and he could see me his eyes became wide before calming down again.
"Is something wrong? You look like you saw a ghost" I say jokingly to him.
"No, it's nothing, I just had a deja-vu." said Coulson with a strange smile and started driving.
It seems like I gave him PTSD.
For the next few miles, no one said anything. And Natasha looked kinda pissed.
We stopped by a stadium, walked in and there were some agents and a Quinjet standing there in the middle. The Quinjet always looked like the Blackbird to me. Did Tony assist the X-Men as well?
We entered the Quinjet and started flying to Washington D.C.
"If you guys are so quiet the whole time it will be a very long flight. Why don't you tell me what Nick Fury is up to right now? Is he still working on the Tesseract project?
Coulson looked shocked at Natasha but she only nodded.
"Nick Fury is still working on it but we have no progress there yet," said Coulson with a serious face.
So Loki hasn't appeared yet? That means Tony has something else to discuss. Hopefully this is something interesting and not another attempt to recruit me for Shield.
"And what's up with Steve Rogers? Is he awake?"
Coulson's face was funny. It changed from surprised to confused to serious the whole time.
Afterward, he sighed and said, "Yes, he is awake."
So if he is awake that means the story is still progressing like it should and Loki could appear at any moment.
The whole time Natasha said nothing. Was she angry or something? I am pretty sure I didn't tease her yesterday.
I ignored the lady's quietness for the time being and since I had no further questions and they didn't want to talk I simply enjoyed my flight.
We arrived at Triskelion's underground hangar. Where Coulson stayed behind and Natasha drove me in a golf cart to the elevator.
I don't remember much of the facility since I simply rushed through to kill everything ...
She brought me to Tony's office on the top floor.
"Wait here, Tony and Maria Hill will be here at any moment."
Oh Maria Hill? I wondered where she was the whole time.
After saying this, she got ready to leave.
But I walked in front of her and stopped her.
"Can I ask you what I did to make you mad? I don't remember doing anything yesterday."
She folded her hands and looked angry at me at first. However, then relaxed a bit and picked up her phone, showing me a picture of a raven that was sitting at a window.
"A raven?" I said confused.
"Yes your raven, you pervert. It was sitting at my window when I came out of the bath yesterday. "
I laughed so hard at this that my stomach started to hurt. While Natasha started to foam with anger.
Then I open the palm of my hand and summon a raven. And gave it to her.
"My ravens have all red eyes so they are easy to identify if someone knows about them. On the other hand, the raven in the photo has normal eyes. But maybe there is some other pervert out there who is stalking you."
Still laughing I walked to the large window to enjoy the view of D.C.
Natasha on the other hand walked out of the room dumbfounded while still holding the raven.
After she was away for a bit, I let the raven vomit out a Black Widow figure. It had a button on the back that made the suit glow blue.
I only waited for her to come running back to scold me but nothing.
While I was still in my thoughts, two people walked in. It was Tony and Maria.
Tony moved to me and said with his typical arrogant tone,
"Ah the stargazer. David wasn't it? Sadly because I was so drunk, I lost your card while flying and couldn't call you after this. "
Is this guy serious? After I gave him a mysterious performance, he lost my card?
However, if he really wanted my advice he would ask Natasha or Fury.
Even when Tony took a slightly different route than in the MCU, he still maintained his honor which wouldn't allow him to ask for a advice even if he wanted to.
He extends his hand for a handshake and says, "It seems my father really knows how to party hard."
He pointed at his Arc Reactor.
I shake his hand and say "Sometimes you need to look in the past to find a new way. I learned it also not long ago."
Maria Hill stepped forward and extended her hand as well.
"My name is Maria Hill. Nick Fury told me a lot about you."
She looked at me as if she was about to shoot a laser out of her eyes at any moment, so whatever he told her couldn't be good.
I shake her hand and smile at her, "David Blake, I'm sure he had only good things to say about me."
Then I turned my head to Tony and asked him, "So you called me here? Tell me how I can help you?"
Tony looked serious at me and said, "The things you showed me are they real?"
"It would be if you hadn't found a way to come out of your depression state. But now you have a real chance to change the future."
Tony looked relieved as I said this and then smirked.
"Then let me show you something."
"Sir are you sure? He is still a civilian." said Hill while looking concerned.
But he simply ignored her and walked away leaving us with no choice but to follow him to an extra elevator.
Arriving somewhere underground that looked like the Batcave. Tony stepped forward and stretched out his hands in an Iron Man 1 manner.
"Then tell me is this enough to save the future?"
The cave was lit up and everywhere were robots that resembled his Mark III armor, but in blue. Thousands of them.
This was the moment the Iron Legion was born! I was kinda impressed.
Suddenly, Hill's phone rang.
She answered the phone and then said nearly screaming,
"Sir! The JDEMF was under attack. Burton got compromised and the Tesseract got stolen!"
