The Iron Legion arrived at the Helicarrier. From over three thousand robots that Tony had in the Shield Headquarters, only a thousand were battle ready at the moment.
The numbers were more than enough to darken the sky above the Helicarrier.
After everyone was ready they moved to David's location.
Captain America and Nick Fury flew together in the Quinjet. While Rogue flew the Blackbird with Daredevil on board.
The rest could fly on their own.
Daredevil first stated it was absurd that David could do something like this. However, after Tony showed him the facts, he told them everything he knew about David's powers and how he could probably redirect them.
Rogue and Storm were glad, that they brought him along when he jumped on the Blackbird mid air while they flew over New York.
Arriving at the Bethesda Terrace they could see David sitting at the fountain relaxing, while wearing his battle gear.
He looked at them and then smiled with his golden eyes while holding the Tesseract in his hands.
Tony gave the order "Attack! We need to stop him before he can use it!"
Rockets from the Iron Legion, Iron Man, the Quinjet and Blackbird started to rain down on the ground. Thor and Storm also coordinated their lightning attacks to strike down on the spot where David stood.
Central Park burned that day like hell itself.
Suddenly Tony Stark's voice could be heard on everyone's transmitters. "He is still alive! He is above us!"
When they looked up above they could see hundreds of giant fireballs falling down from the sky.
The Fireballs were falling from the sky like meteors, making it impossible for them to dodge in time.
"Iron Legion shield!" shouted Tony.
And the robots built a shield with their bodies in the air, only huge explosions could be heard from above them.
Robot parts started to fall from the sky like rain when the fireballs hit the Iron Legion.
Jarvis voice could be heard through the speaker of the Quinjet "Iron Legion remaining battle ready robots hundred."
Within seconds, lightning started falling from the sky, striking only the remaining robots.
"The Iron Legion has zero battle ready robots left."
Then a portal opened up on the ground, where the flames died down and David stepped out as if nothing had happened.
"I must say if not for this small cube here I wouldn't have survived that attack right now or would already be out of juice."
His voice rang out in their heads like it was the most natural thing in the world.
"Tell me you wanna still fight me after seeing this. How do you wanna win now without your scrap metal army?"
Tony couldn't hold it in any longer and screamed "Why the hell are you doing this?! Didn't you intend to prevent the destruction of this world?"
This outburst made David laugh and then he said,
"I saw the bigger picture Tony. The beings in this universe were walking the path to destruction and now I have found an easy way to lead them into peaceful coexistence and freedom."
Nick Fury uses the Quinjet's megaphone to speak.
"How is brainwashing people will make this happen? You are simply out of your mind! There is no difference between you and Loki."
"The difference between me and Loki is that I have the power to do as I say."
After saying this he laid the Tesseract on the burned ground. Then lightning started to flicker around him and he disappeared from the spot.
Appearing next to Thor and grabbing his head, he slammed him into Storm, sending Thor and her crashing to the ground.
When Iron Man tries to attack him with his Repulsor, David scatters into a swarm of ravens, which surround Iron Man completely.
Then he used some ravens to fuse again above Tony, who was doing his best to fend them off.
David then spits a fireball at Iron Man which explodes when it hits him. This catapults him into the Quinjet and then it starts to fall from the sky. Before it could hit the ground Captain America and Fury could jump out.
Cap landed safely, but Nick Fury seems to have hurt himself while landing. While Iron Man has not yet emerged from the crashed jet.
There was now only the Blackbird in the air and Daredevil stood atop it.
David landed in front of him.
"David this is not you, I know you! Snap out of it you can still make things right." said Matt as he hoped to reach his friend.
"I can feel it in you that something is manipulating you!"
But David doesn't answer and kneels down, placing his arm on the jet. He then lets his Raiton chakra pass through it, overloading the electronics and causing small explosions on the inside.
The next moment Rogue jumps out of the ramp entrance and Matt jumps after her to give her a safe landing.
When the Blackbird starts to crash down David also jumps away landing next to the Tesseract again.
In the next moment he sees, Daredevil and Cap ran up to him and tried to attack him, but they were too slow for him. He evades Cap's shield and kicks Daredevil away who hits the ground hard. Then grabs Cap's head and slams him head first into the ground.
The only one left standing was Thor, while Rogue hid herself and waited for the right moment to grab David.
"So prince of Asgard what will you do?"
Thor doesn't answer him, he simply raises his hammer and lightning strikes it then he jumps up and tries to hit David with the loaded hammer.
"Too slow!" as David says this, he shifts his body to the side, grabs the wrist of Thor and redirects the hammer's electricity to Rogue's hiding place.
The impact sent her flying and when she crashed to the ground she was knocked out as well.
Then he hits Thor with his fist in the face a few times, afterwards he strikes him with his knee in the stomach. This makes Thor gasp for air and drop his hammer.
David then jumps up and spits a fireball down on Thor who manages to block his face. However, the explosion sends him flying and after he hits the ground he doesn't move anymore.
Landing on the ground again David looks around and says "It seems like this was all. Or do you wanna try your luck too?"
He looks at Fury, who is holding a gun in his right hand and resting his left hand on his stomach while holding something small in it. He limps towards David and says,
"People like us would always stand up and fight and would even give my life to stop you here!"
He holds up his gun and pulls the trigger, which David avoids by shifting his body from left to right.
"Then die." said David while transferring the Raiton chakra into his right hand and creating Chidori in the process.
He dashed forward so fast that Nick Fury thought he had vanished from the spot. Only for David to suddenly appear in front of him and slam his Chidori into Fury's heart, completely piercing through him.
After he pulls out his hand Fury collapses on the ground.
After turning around, he saw Cap and Thor standing again, while Tony emerged from the jet with a half-broken helmet.
Out of the other three, only Daredevil could stand up.
When they saw Nick Fury lying on the ground in a pool of blood they looked at David in shock.
"One down, I gave you the chance to give up, now I end this."
"You monster!" Cap screamed as he dashed toward David, but he simply jumped back to the Tesseract.
And then he held it above his head, lights began to shoot out of it, opening small portals all around them.
Stepping through were people from every age group with yellow glowing eyes... thousands of them.
"If you want to doom these people, why not simply kill them directly? Said David while snapping his fingers.
Screaming like wild beasts, the people started running towards the last sane people in New York.
All of a sudden, everything went backwards, as if someone had reversed time. The people entered back into the portal and they disappeared along with the lights from the Tesseract.
Then they heard a voice not far away.
"So you chose to be the destroyer and not the Savior." Said the Ancient One as she stepped out of a portal.

The next Chapter will conclude the Mind Control arc and Avengers 1 storyline.

Think of it as an energy source similar to chi or mana.
For the MC it's chakra, because that's the simplest way for him to understand it.
Also for the people who are 'leaving' because of the mind control thing.
