After the meeting with Cap, we flew back to our house.
"What do you think of them?" asked T'Challa, and I could tell that Wanda was interested in my answer too.
I closed my eyes for a moment to gather my thoughts, then responded,
"They are idiots who underestimated Stark's stubbornness and now have to live with the consequences.
But to sacrifice this much for friends shows that they have the heart in the right place."
Seeing that they weren't satisfied, I continued.
"Look at Captain America.
Even if he had to fight the world alone, he would never betray his ways. An idealist, whose stubbornness can only be topped by Stark himself.
Steve's friend Falcon is a military veteran who follows him because he feels connected to him. He trusts Steve's leadership even when it requires him to give up a peaceful life.
The guy with the missing arm, he was brainwashed and lost everything in this world except Steve. Although I can relate to his story, he didn't learn everything from his experiences. He is still following people blindly, hoping that someone like Steve will know the right thing to do.
And lastly, Natasha Romanoff... I can only guess why she is here with them and not with Stark. But I think she can also relate to Bucky, because she was brainwashed and used as a tool her whole life too.
And if you have the choice, between the idealistic and friendly Steve who sees you as his family or Tony Stark, leader of Shield and the person who lets no one near himself, everyone would choose Steve."
Wanda and T'Challa looked pretty surprised at my words.
"You seem to know a lot about them." said T'Challa.
I could only shrug at this, "We were not always enemies and I also like to collect information about people I deal with."
"Would you forbid them to enter Wakanda, when you were on my spot?" asked T'Challa.
"As a king or prince? Probably.
But as someone who can respect people who never leave a comrade behind, I wouldn't."
T'Challa nodded at me and drifted into his thoughts, while Wanda gave me a complicated look.
Until now, she considered every Avenger an enemy. So it must be difficult for her to accept this situation.
But as long as Cap's group doesn't give her a reason to attack them, they should be fine.
We landed at our house and saw two people standing in front of the entrance.
Leaving Klaw with a guard in the plane we stepped out to meet the two troublemakers.
"Shuri, what are you doing here? Where are your guards?" asked T'Challa worriedly.
"I eh... only checked on Pietro here and you know that I don't like it if they are breathing down my neck every time I leave my lab." said Shuri who was definitely lying while trying to explain the situation.
"Yes, we met in town by accident and then she said she could also check my condition."
Pietro sweated like hell as he made this statement.
It was as if he was not even trying to cover up the fact that they had a date and decided to come here to be alone.
And then, the best way to do this was for both of you to come to his house in the middle of the evening? T'Challa grabbed his head while saying this.
"If father learns about this, it could have real serious consequences. Do you know that?" the prince asked, while looking seriously at Shuri.
I stepped forward to ease the situation.
"Don't you think there are more serious matters right now than the love life of them both?"
T'Challa does not back down at first, but then he looks at me and nods.
"You're right. Shuri, there are probably problems coming our way and I will need your expertise. Follow me."
"Wait! What does that mean? What is going on?" asked Pietro, shocked.
"Your friends will tell you more about this, but I need to go and deal with Klaw and also to discuss our next steps with our King."
Suddenly, I feel something in the air and activate my Sharingan, only to see a small drone flying above us with the Stark logo on it.
"It seems you need to hurry because Stark already knows that they are here." I say while pointing up.
Shuri looks up and then presses something on her wrist and says, "It's a drone from Stark Industries.
It basically says we should hand out Captain America and his team, or he will come and get them by force."
This made T'Challa lose his cool, "He dares to threaten us? Shuri we need to go now!"
She nods and they run to the plane.
I sighed when I saw them leave.
Cap's team couldn't even relax or speak to the king and he had already located them.
The plane started to fly away and I could see Shuri looking sadly out of the window.
Despite only knowing each other for a few days, it seems she really likes Pietro... Maybe his rebellious attitude works well with hers.
Upon hearing about Cap's arrival, Pietro became eager to join the battle. Not once did he consider that it might end with a talk or with surrender from Cap's side.
"What should we do?" asked Wanda while looking at me.
But Pietro jumped in before I could say anything.
"If Stark shows up, the most effective way to deal with him is joining forces with Wakanda and Captain America."
This made me shake my head and I said, "Getting dragged into a war that has nothing to do with us, is a foolish idea and you are also not in the condition to fight."
My words made him shake in anger.
"But you are! And what should we do then, if we don't fight? Put our pajamas on and wait for Stark to destroy another country?"
Does Wakanda offer anger management courses? He needs some...
"No, keep your clothes on. Just because I don't want to participate in their war doesn't mean we let them destroy everything."
Then I walk past him and place a hand on his shoulder.
"The time will come when you have to confront your demons, but it's not now.
It would be the wrong battlefield to avenge your people. We will stay in the town and protect the people of Wakanda."
After that, I started walking towards the town.
While looking back, I saw Wanda giving a hug to Pietro and then she said.
"Pietro I think David is right we would only escalate the situation. Let's deal with Tony Stark on our own accord when this all is over."
He nods at her and hugs her back.
Then they started following me.
I know that, even when Wanda seems to be collected, they are both trapped in the same circle of hatred.
The hardest part will be breaking them out of it.
One thing I didn't know was that the events that followed would forever change the lives of many people
