Today was the UN hearing of T'Chaka in Austria.
We were in Shuri's lab and watched all this on some flying TV made of Vibranium.
Since Okoye was with T'Chaka and T'Challa, Pietro was with us too and stayed close to Shuri.
Wanda and I sit on chairs made of Vibranium while Vision meditates for some reason in the air above us.
Man vibranium chairs are the best. I never sat on something so comfortable before. I need to convince Shuri to give me some for our home...
"It begins." Shuri says and our attention is drawn to the TV.
First, a man stepped forward and welcomed the nations and explained the agenda.
Then T'Chaka stepped forward and began his speech.
First, he talked about Wakanda and showed pictures of their advancements in technology and medicine on a big screen behind him. This caused some reaction in the crowd since they had never seen anything like this before.
He then describes how people have attacked and stolen Wakanda's most valuable resource, vibranium, while killing his people. Only to use it for weapons later.
Afterwards, he shows some pictures of the day when Stark appeared in Wakanda, with an army of robots.
"Tony Stark had no authorization to enter our country or to ask for anything. He is only a man and not a country that can request extradition from another.
Even when our country is not well known, it's still a horrendous crime to invade us.
We don't know if he acted alone or with the approval of the government he works for, but something like this should not be tolerated, or no country will be safe from invaders anymore."
The US representative complained about this because of the unproven accusations. But he was quickly silenced by the Secretary-General, who demanded order.
Because the representative would have his hearing later, where he could explain everything.
After everything was quiet, T'Chaka continued.
"Wakanda is ready to open to other countries and we are prepared to share our resources and knowledge to help.
But we can't do that if anyone is free to invade other countries without consequence, so we demand justice and answers.
Justice for the crimes of Tony Stark and answers why a leader of an organization located in the US has the right to travel around the globe and invade other countries."
A video starts playing showing the Triskelion. Then the ground opened and the Iron Legion was visible, taking off from the hangar before camouflaging themselves and flying away.
Up front were Iron Man and Vision leading them.
Again the hall became louder and all eyes were on the US representatives.
T'Chaka seems to have done his homework and kept an eye on Tony Stark beforehand, possibly due to Shield's activities worldwide.
However, he got these recordings after the attack on Wakanda, otherwise he would have been better prepared.
"Giving all the power and freedom in the world to one person was never the solution in the past. Ultimately, the power overwhelms them and they begin to destroy everything.
I think if we work together as brothers and sisters, we can combine our powers to create a peaceful world.
Because of that, I propose disbanding all shadow organizations that trying to 'protect' the world and setting up an official one, under the UN's supervision, that will protect the world properly.
Only that way can we keep future generations safe from the darkness surrounding us."
T'Chaka looked to his right, where T'Challa stood and smiled.
"And I would like to present you the first member of this organization my son T'Challa the protector of our country."
T'Challa steps forward and his clothes transform into his Black Panther suit.
"He is willing to fight for the safety of the world, as if he was ready to fight for the safety of our country."
Behind him started a video that showed T'Challa destroying the Iron Legion one by one without much difficulty.
When the video ends, T'Challa changes back into his clothes and steps back.
"To show you how much trust I have in him and in the next generation, I will appoint him as the representative of Wakanda from now on, but not only that but also as the new King of Wakanda."
The people in the hall stayed quiet and only the surprised faces of Okoye and T'Challa could be seen.
T'Challa wanted to say something, but T'Chaka raised his hand and stopped him.
"This is all I have to say. I hope you will share my concerns and desires and I'm sure we can solve any problem if we work together." says T'Chaka and gets applauded.
This is good news because T'Challa is a worthy king and his honor will not allow him to betray his way.
He will also have the support of most of the UN members. Even when they do so, primarily because of the resources or knowledge of Wakanda...
It seems like T'Chaka underestimates the greed of the people. Some people wouldn't stop until they took everything Wakanda had, leaving nothing for the people there.
If that's the case, T'Challa can look forward to becoming King of nothing.
Suddenly Shuri jumps up and screams, "Yes! Way to go, father! I knew you were planning something special!
Then she rubs her hands together like a villain and says in a low voice, "My brother will surely give me more allowances for my experiments."
"What was that at the end?" Pietro asked, confused.
Then she laughed strangely and said, "Nothing! I'm only happy for my brother."
Sure, I heard exactly what you said...
Then the US representative came forward, blamed everything on Tony and denied the US government's involvement in the attack on Wakanda.
I believe him in this case, because Tony does the majority of things by himself...
Following that, he listed the positive things Shield did while making them public as well. Those included stopping various terrorist organizations and Loki, who was known for his appearance in Germany.
To show how terrible things would be without something like Shield.
He also said that after Wakanda hands over Tony Stark, they want to hold a public trial where he will answer for his crimes against Wakanda and humanity.
Besides that, he promised that Stark's technology would never be used again for such a purpose. Because everything that Tony created will come under the supervision of the US government.
In the event that the new organization is formed, he also promised the US would provide some of the tech for the people there.
He continued like that with a smile and the UN members listened, like they did with T'Chaka... the US always wanted Tony's technology, but never achieved it.
But now they will have both his tech and him in their hands... that raised so many red flags that I thought I might go blind.
I was also pretty sure that T'Chaka was not pleased with this too. However, he probably had no evidence that the US allowed that or he would show them.
"They are planning something." said Wanda concerned and in a low voice.
"Yes, but they played the right cards, so it will all work out for them." I said while folding my hands.
They didn't even mention Captain America or the others. I guess they want Tony first and afterwards negotiate about their extradition and me if they find out I'm here.
In their situation, I would do the same to let T'Chaka's accusation cool down and demonstrate that I am not interested in a conflict.
They probably also want to build a profitable relationship with Wakanda, that's why they are so friendly and don't try to suppress Wakanda with their authority.
After thinking for a while, I wanted to speak to Tony again. I ultimately chose not to do so, because the last conversations caused more harm than good.
Yes, the US can do crazy shit with Tony's tech, but it was nothing that couldn't be solved normally without my involvement.
At least I hope so...
Wanda then grabbed my hand and gestured upwards where Vision was. Looking up, I could see the distress in Vision's eyes.
He looked at us and then flew out. So I stood up and walked outside as well.
There I found Vision staring in the direction of the prison.
"Whatever you are planning, don't do it. Nothing good will come out of it." I say and lean against the railing.
"If they get him, more evil people will use him for their purpose and that would be even more harmful than what Tony Stark did." said Vision relaxed.
"Maybe but that will not bring the end of the world."
"What if it could? They will start to win every war. War leads to more war, leading to the end of everything, only because they get more powerful weapons and armor from Tony Stark.
I feel that after this loss, he has lost hope and they will use this to make him obey."
After saying this, he flew away. Leaving me alone with my thoughts.
Maybe I was the one who underestimated the greed of people...
My head started to hurt, so I stopped thinking about it and walked back to the others.
