"Please have a seat and make yourselves feel at home," said Steven, and we all finally sat down, or at least those who could, because there was a hovering brain next to me.

"After the recent events, most of you already know each other, but allow me to introduce everyone and explain why you are here," said Steven, conjuring something resembling a screen in the middle of the room.

"First, we have Charles Xavier, the strongest telepath currently on Earth. Then we have Wanda Maximoff, the most powerful witch who is also a reality warper.

And Kitty Pryde a mutant with the ability to phase through almost anything. Then Clarice Fong who can create portals.

The next member is Marcel Deflandre, a literal brain who can assist us in almost any situation. Then we have Bruce Banner, a combination of intellect and power who will serve as our breacher and battery.

Next, we have Jean Grey, a powerhouse capable of much more than meets the eye. And last but not least, we have the always-happy Wolverine. He will serve as our test subject—if he can't survive something, none of us can."

As Steven spoke, the faces of the individuals appeared on the screen, including Wolverine, who displayed his middle claw at Steven.

The people in the room were from different nations and had different ages, but I could sense the determination emanating from each of them. They were ready to do whatever it takes to combat the horrors outside.

Steven appeared well-informed about each of us. He even knew about my reality warping abilities, which I hadn't fully mastered yet due to their uncontrollable nature.

Also, one thing was clear not Yao, the Hulk, or I were the strongest individual in the room. No instead, it was Jean Grey, the red-haired mutant… Whenever I looked at her, it felt like staring into the sun— a very unsettling experience.

However, as long as she is on our side, I have no issues with her.

"Taking into account all of your powers, I have assembled a team that has constructed a machine capable of harnessing and combining them," Steven explained, waving his hand to reveal a large, circular structure with small platforms around it.

It resembled a black Stargate from the series that David had forced me to watch with him…

"And these are the individuals who built it. First, we have Shuri, the princess of Wakanda, who provided the materials and technology for this gate. Then, we have Reed Richards, arguably the smartest man alive, who devised the design and concept.

The final pair responsible for construction and programming are the long gone missing Tony Stark, and the young genius Peter Parker."

Observing the small group, I was astonished at how quickly they managed to create such a device.

I had never met Peter Parker before, who appeared to be around 15 or 16 years old teenager. As for Reed Richards, I had only heard from other civilians that he helped them escape during the initial outbreak in New York.

The last two people had undergone significant changes since I last saw them. Shuri, who had only departed yesterday, now had a fierce and confident look, with no trace of the sadness and hopelessness they showed the last few days.

But the person who surprised me the most was Tony Stark. He had shed his beard and appeared remarkably healthy, unlike the last time I saw him. However, the most notable change was his armor…

It still retained elements reminiscent of his typical Iron Man suit, but the colors were altered—a blend of green and red. Moreover, instead of the blue glow from his arc reactor, the color now emitted a vibrant yellow, and I could feel the mindstone inside.

Did he fashion an armor out of Vision...?

"Since the introduction is finished, can we start?" said Stark, seemingly not having lost his attitude. "There is kind of an army of slimy monsters waiting to eat us." But he is right…

Steven sighed and nodded, and Stark stepped forward. "So first of all, floating brain come here. You will be our living main board who will control all actions the gate does," said Stark, picking up something that looked like a big helmet lying next to the gate.

The brain hovered over, and then a mechanical voice said as the brain started to glow, "My name is not simply 'brain.' They call—"

"No one really cares how you are called," Stark interrupted him and put the helmet on the brain.

Brain still glowed but said nothing, though I could still hear its thoughts, and it had a vivid imagination about how to call people…

"Next, everyone will stand on these platforms around the gate, and the bal... I mean, the professor will coordinate everyone at the same time to sync your powers, while the magicians will keep everything stable and set the coordinates for Asgard."

"It's called sorcerers…" said Steven under his breath, while Yao simply smiled the whole time as we walked to the platforms.

Each platform had a different color and name on it. Mine was scarlet red and was directly in front of the front side of the Gate. Well, since I came together with David and became pregnant, I kind of started to like my violet color more…

Charles Xavier positioned himself right behind me and placed his hand on his head, while Yao and Steven created a golden portal that appeared blank in the middle of the gate.

'Can everyone hear me? Good... So this will be simple, but everyone needs to give their 100%. First, Wanda and Clarice, your job will be to open the portal and keep it that way, and Clarice, don't worry. I will send you information about Asgard right now,'

Said Charles directly in our heads, probably after reading Stark's thoughts about what to do next.

'Hulk and Jean, you will be like the batteries for us. With your nearly unlimited powers, you will power up this machine. But Jean, stop when you notice that you're losing control...'

'Kitty, you simply need to concentrate on your powers, and they will be transported to the machine. When the portal is stable, the Hulk and Wolverine will storm the portal and attack everything behind it.'

'So let's begin!'

As soon as I heard this, I stretched out my hand and concentrated on my magic, sending it towards the gate and the portal, while the others carried out their assigned tasks.

After a few seconds, the gate started to stabilize, and we could see the rainbow bridge. However, just like my previous attempts, black slime began to cloud the portal, and I could sense that it was impossible to walk through, even with Kitty's powers.

We were so close…

"No, we can't give up!"

Suddenly, a bright light and heat filled the room, making it necessary for me to shield my eyes. When I looked to the right, I saw Jean standing there with fiery wings behind her. The fire started to leap over the gate and burn away the slime, but it still wasn't enough.

She is right. We can't give up. If David is somewhere out there, I need to save him and our world. I focused on the magic that is coursing through my body and directed it towards the gate. The flames turned violet and began to consume the slime.

*Shing!*

"We can do it!" I screamed, and Wolverine readied his claws, preparing to jump into the portal.

"Yeah, nice try but no." Tamat's voice echoed from the gate, and slime tentacles shot out, striking Kitty and Clarice, hurling them away, causing the gate to destabilize.

"No!!" Why can't we just win this time? I want to see David again...!

Suddenly, I felt a familiar energy emanating from within me—David? No, it came from my stomach…

The energy traveled from my stomach into my hands, and in the next moment, a ball of round blue energy formed in front of me. It shot towards the gate and exploded upon contact, creating a shockwave that sent us all crashing to the ground.

"What the hell was that? Is everyone alright?" asked Steven, looking around. Everyone nodded, except for Brain, who was lying on the ground, and Clarice and Kitty, who were unconscious.

"The gate is open, I'm going in!" roared Logan, sprinting towards it, with Bruce close behind him.

"No, I don't think so. You're too hairy for my taste..." In the next moment, Logan and the space around him appeared distorted and blurry.

"Agh!!!" We could only hear Logan scream before he imploded, leaving nothing but his crushed metal bones behind…

"Yeah why not, you can go play with my new doggo and his friend," said Tamat, and a slimy tentacle emerged from the gate, dragging the Hulk inside.

I stood up from the ground, focused my magic into my hands, and fired a beam of violet energy towards the ceiling where Tamat was standing upside down, playing his games with us.

However, he simply slapped it away, causing it to crash into the wall before exploding and creating a hole to the outside world.

"Is that how you greet a guest?" asked Tamat with a grin.

This bastard looked exactly like David... except for his white hair, pale skin, and a black bandage over his eyes.

When everyone else noticed me doing that, they also looked up and prepared for battle.

But Tamat jumped down in front of the gate and said, while putting his hands on the bandage, "If you want to die, try to attack me," and lifted the bandage over his right eye.

The next second, the space around us started to blur.

"Wanda, do you like the eye? You should. Part of it belongs to your boyfriend," said Tamat with a grin, and his words hit me directly in the heart like blades… making me shake in anger.

His eye was black, with something resembling a big red star above two rings and a black pupil in the middle.

"I'm still adjusting to them, but it will be enough for you. Since you all gave everything to go to Asgard, I've decided to reward you... You see, in this second, the last sorcerer died at the hands of my little friends, and they're just waiting to kill all the remaining humans..."

"They what?" asked Strange and sent out ropes towards Tamat that shattered before even touching him.

"Can you let me speak out? So you have the choice to save the humans or go to Asgard…"

Everyone froze hearing this…

"Let me make it easy for you: I will open two portals, one to Asgard and one to the dying humans, even for the people on the outside… But you can only choose one, and the other closes afterwards. So, see ya!" said Tamat and disappeared into the gate.

The next moment, two black portals opened next to us. One showed the rainbow bridge, and the other showed a kid with a dead sorcerer next to him, surrounded by monsters.

"You have to decide: Asgard or the last humans on Earth," could be heard from the portals.

I didn't wait for the others and jumped after Tamat. The scenery changed, and I appeared in front of a strange building on the rainbow bridge. On the other side, there was a woman probably Hela with an army of skeleton-slime hybrids behind her…

*Roar!*

Under the bridge, I heard Bruce fighting two strange creatures…

It was time for me to fight too! I enveloped myself with my magic and started to fly into the air, while Hela summoned a sword and pointed it at me, and her army started to dash forward.

"Come... I will destroy every one of you!" I screamed, and my magic burst out of me.

"Yea, you will. But not alone!" said Yao, who stepped out of the portal followed by the Exvengers, Stark, Jean, a naked Wolverine, Peter Parker, Cyclops, Magneto, and many other mutants and superhumans I didn't know.

Afterwards they started dashing towards the army while Yao jumped down to help Hulk.

Seeing this, Hela summoned a giant sword under her and rode on it before jumping off and letting it fly towards me with a grin.

This won't stop me! I wanted to destroy the sword, but suddenly, a giant bluish skeleton appeared and caught me with one hand, while using the other hand to catch the giant sword and throw it back at Hela.

The next moment I felt my eyes burning, and tears streamed down my face for the first time since all of this happened.

"Hey, it seems you started the fight without me," says the man I love, while opening his arms for me.

RetMod

Hey, guys, and welcome to the next chapter.

In the next chapter, the EMS of David will be shown too.

The middle part of Tamat's eye can be interpreted as a star or as red tentacles coming from the darkness. But however you see it, I wanted to make it otherworldly.

Stay tuned for more!
