Chapter 17
Of the girls, the first to wake up this morning is Nina, she woke up slowly while hugging Annika's right side. She looked on the left side of Annika and saw Kali hugging it, then she slowly stood up, so not to wake them, and walked to the bath.
She is almost done, just a little more than it will be filled, and you can already see the water letting off a slight amount of steam, enticing people into entering its warm embrace, and Nina wanted to finish it to enjoy it fully. Nina put her hand above the water line and added more water, she learned after doing this for hours how to use the skill the best without making any sound by just adding the water in the already made water so that it does not splash.

Nina saw after filling the bath for a little bit, so she stopped.
' I reached level 7 yesterday, I think if I fill the bath it will reach level 10' Nina concluded seeing her leveling speed, then she remembered a thought she had but did not know if she wanted to do it, but she might as well now. She walked to some small [Crystals of Lyr] and picked them up, then walked back to the pond, and when she reached the bath she threw the crystals in it.
When the crystals fell in the fresh water, they started to slowly glow more than they do normally, and then they dissolved, from where the crystals dissolved a glow spread over the water, when the glow had reached all the water, it subsided until it was just a slightly glowing bath.

When consumed restrains [Miasma] in the body, and Ward off {Miasma} from entering the body, for a day. Slowly Purifies beings corrupted by {Miasma} bathing in it. |
"Hahaha, it worked"Nina laughed, unknowingly waking up Kali and Annika, who saw her laughing at the waters.
"I guess she is done with the bath,"Kali whispered to Annika, since she thought she was happy that the bath was done.
"Yeah, lets see it"Annika said while smiling since Nina looks happy.
When they reached the bath, they noticed the glow in the waters, they were surprised, but both thought Nina did it.
"So what did you do?" Kali teased Nina, she turned to them then showed them the message she gained.
"Aren't I amazing," Nina bragged with a big smile, when Kali and Annika agreed she got a bigger smile and hugged them.
"i think that the Miasma is a big problem in this world, but because of this cave it has not reached us yet,"Nina concluded when she looked at the [Title] she gained.
"oh what does it say then?"Annika asked.

"A new way to fight against the [Miasma], does indeed sound like the [Miasma] is a big problem,"Kali agreed with Nina's conclusion,"but that is something for the future, we need to kill the goblins first, but I will scout around the forest making a mental map just in case we ever needed it"Kali continued.
"Ok, Nina and I will go hunt Goblins then, we need to get Nina to level 10 at least,"Annika planned.
"let's go team!" Nina said then put her hand in front of her, wanting them to put it on her hands, which they both did with an eye roll.
Kali went away first, and this time she looked at the mental map of hers from [Forest Patrol] to she what she did not scout before, and slowly filled it up, after 1 hour she leveled the skill up, making her think that it increases when she does what the skill name said'Patrol', just after she gained the skill level she noticed that the range of her mapping increased, most likely the increase of Awareness that the skill mentions.
While running, she noticed some tracks of wolves occasionally, but she ignored them since she does not need anything from them, but she does note that it went in the same direction of the tracks she saw yesterday, going north, to the mountains.
'so something spooked the wolves towards the mountains,'Kali concluded since it cannot be the lack of food, the goblins and the small animals are abundant in the forest, so there is enough food to feed the wolves. she decided to go towards where the wolves are fleeing from, since she needed to scout it anyway but also needed to know if there is a threat other then the goblins.

It took her 2 hours of running for her to reach an area that could give some information, there were 14 wolves dead in a clearing, Kali checked for anything still being here, but found nothing, so she walked towards the dead wolves to see what killed them,'Axes and swords are used to kill them' Kali concluded. Nothing was taken from the wolves either, so they were not hunted for anything they had, that Kali can see at least.

'They left some tracks' Kali thought, when she saw some tracks, they were humanoids, so that explains the weapons, but also heavy, their footprints are deeper and bigger than goblins,'I need to be careful, they could be dangerous,'Kali suspected, so she followed the tracks still going at jog speed, but if needed she can use her [Mystery Movement] to escape.
After about an hour of tracking, she found a clearing again, where 5 beings are eating a big boar, these beings are armed with weapons, like swords and one has a big axe on its back, so Kali knows these are the wolf killers, these beings are big, about 2.1 meters(7 Feet) tall, they have no helmet on but do have some kind of metal armor on the rest of their body's, these beings are eating the boar, so it is hard to see their faces, Kali went into a tree, then waited for them to finish, to see what they look like.
It took them 30 minutes to stop eating, and raise their heads,'Orcs?' Kali suspected, since they do look like the orcs that she read about in fantasy stories, the only difference was that these 'Orcs' had black veins all around their head, starting from their neck, going upwards, they looked sick but also big and powerful, and their eyes told Kali everything she needed to know there 'Orcs' are the same as the Goblins, hostile.
Kali's instinct also told her they were Threat, but also not.'why does my instinct tell me I can kill them easily, but they are still a threat?' Kali asked herself confusingly, since it tells her two things that mean the opposite.

'Finally' Kali thought since she has been doing it for a while hoping for the skill. She noticed them walking away, so she followed them, hoping to ambush them when they are distracted enough to kill at least one to get their name, and some basic info that she can relay to Annika and Nina.
When following them, she noticed that they do not talk at all, they just all know what to do, so when some wolves start attacking them, she noticed that they have no tactics at all, they instead attack as powerful as they can, all 5 go into combat, and they have no Awareness at all.
' They are stupid, just like the goblins,'Kali concluded seeing them behave a lot like goblins do, but goblins show fear when being attacked by wolves and these 'Orcs' do not.
9 wolves are attacking those 'Orcs' and she knew this was the best time to attack them, since she did not want to waste more time on these 'Orcs', so she used [Mystery Movement] to run at them then she cut their throats, to be certain she also used [Primal Instinct] to plan how to kill all 5 at the same time, and it was not easy since they were not together, so she had to dance between the 'Orcs' and the wolves, but it worked all 5 their throats were cut before they even knew what happened.
She looked at the wolves, but they were still focusing on the 'Orcs', and then she felt her [Primal Instinct] scream at her to jump to the left, and she followed that feeling, when doing so, she felt air being blasted at her from where she just stood then a loud Bang, she used [Mystery Movement] again to make some distance, then [Camouflage] to turn around and see what happened.
There is a Crack of about 5 meters (16 feet) long starting at where she stood and ending between 2 wolves, made by the orc with the big axe, she saw it just pull its weapon back from where she stood.
'just a little bit slower and I would be dead'Kali paled, but then remembered that she cut their throats, so she looked and saw their neck was still spilling blood, but it was black blood and the wound was slowly closing, but she did notice that they look much weaker,'okay, was not expecting that, but it still works, just need to do it more,'Kali hoped.
Kali prepared to do the same again, but before she could the wolves seeing what the 'orc' did, they ran away to the direction of the mountains, just like the other wolves, but the 'orcs' chased them, giving Kali the opportunity to hit them again, she danced around them with her knifes, this time hitting the orcs harder, so took more time but still more than enough to slash 4 of them, the last one turned around to attack her with its axe, when she went at it, making her jump to the right of it, and use [Mystery Movement] to escape sight.
She got on a tree and used [Camouflage] again while getting her bow out, since she did not want to take the chance of getting hit by that axe, she notched an arrow and waited, till it turned towards its former friends, then she shot it in its head, killing it.

'damn, that was harder then i thought almost died 2 times if i was any slower,'Kali sighed to herself then slowly walked to the orcs to see what they look like up close, till a black fog came from the body and she ran as fast as she can from it, her [Primal Instict] was telling her to run from that as fast as she can, and she can sense why, it was following her for a short while but she was too fast for it.
'if that is not the [Miasma], i would be surprised,' Kali thought while using [Hunter's Mark] to locate Annika, so Kali can tell her and Nina what happened and to watch out for black fog.
