Interlude 2
Annika's POV
when I woke up, the first thing that greeted me was my girlfriend's face, Nina. I immediately went up on my knees and looked her over for any injuries, and am happy to say I cannot see any. She also looks just asleep.
'Ah, thank god' I released a relieved sigh, while starting to get up and look around.
We are in a clearing, in the forest with a small lake close by, I turn around to see behind me, and get startled seeing a dead Grey wolf with blue stripes, and another Wolf eating it.
'I need to kill it before it notices us,' since it is eating one of its own, I do not think it will let us go.
I slowly take out a pocket knife I always have on me, out of my jacket, and slowly get closer to it, when I was just behind it, I noticed that it was smaller than the one it is eating by a significant amount.
'Is this the pup of the dead one?' flashed through my mind for a second.
But I do not let it distract me, and I jump it while stabbing at the throat. It thrashed around while it was bleeding out of its neck, but it was weaker, so I pushed it in the ground till after a short struggle it died. After that ordeal, I stood up and walked back to Nina.
*Howl*
Turning to the sound I saw another wolf, this one bigger than the last one, but still smaller than the one that is dead, looking at me in anger. It started running at me, and I prepared myself to meet its charge.
Something pushed me to start running at it, and just when we met, and it jumped at my throat, I used the momentum of us charging at each other to punch it in the face.
*Yelp*
"Ugh" I groaned when I punched it, since I hit bone on bone, but i at least took the least damage, since the wolf got slammed to the ground.
I jumped after it on it's back and did the same as the last wolf, stabbing its neck, sadly, this wolf was stronger, and after I stabbed it, it bit me in my left shoulder, taking a chunk of flesh, but I held on and held it down to the ground, so it could bleed out.
After I got off it and checked my self I found that my right hand was scratched pretty badly, and I had a bite taken out of me from my left shoulder, but also some things that I did not even feel, as I saw some rips in my jeans and wounds on my legs.
'Fuck, I better find something to close these wounds,' I was panting, but, I smile to myself, I am still alive.
*Growl* *Growl*
Two wolves ran from some foliage, and did not give me any time to catch my breath, since they ran straight for me, one from my right and the other from my left. I ran to my right while keeping them in my sight, and when they were behind one another, I change direction to the wolf closest to me.'one at a time'. It was not expecting that, so it stopped, but I did not and slashed at its neck, but at the same time my knife got knocked from my hands.
*Spurt*
'Yes, die!'. I focused on the last wolf, it has not stopped and is now mid-jump. I do not have enough time to dodge, so I can only put my hands up to defend.
I got paid for my hasty defense with a bite in my left arm, that goes deep. Grappling the wolf by the neck sounds the best option now, so it cannot rip its mouth away while at the same time I am trying to choke it, but do not have good enough grip to choke it. At least it cannot rip my arm apart for now.
'Shit, I lost too much blood' I feel my self weakening.

The Wolf looked at me in pain, and was loosening his teeth around my arm, and when I look behind the wolf, I can see why. Nina has my knife and is stabbing it in the back, she also looks scared, and when I saw that look in her face, I regained enough strength to rip its mouth open and escape its maw.
After that I stood up as fast as possible, and noticed it being at death's door, so I kicked it in the head, killing it.
