Interlude 4
Luna's Pov
It has been 4 weeks since I joined the Sisters of Light, and I learned a lot after joining them. The first thing we three learned is what the Sisters of Light actually do, since when we joined we heard they fight against the [Miasma] and heal people, and that is basically correct but is not all, since they also help with healing the citizens or help them with questions that they would ask about their class, since some Sisters gain the Rare Skill [Class Consult] which gives more information about classes and which class it can evolve into, and the Sisters freely give this info to the people who ask, but mostly they go on Cleansing missions.
Cleansing missions are missions where Light Affinity people cleanse the [Black Fog], the Fog lingers all over Sydocia, the Cities are the only places still safe from it, it also corrupts Beings that touch it so anyone that does not have a Light magic user to cleanse it will become corrupted by it. Then a Higher Tier Light magic is used to create a Beacon of Light, it will create a Frontier, where [Black Fog] cannot enter to corrupt the land and people again, the only way the [Miasma] can corrupt the land again is if it sends corrupted beings to destroy the Beacon of Light, but those will be stopped by other people while they are safe inside the Frontier from the [Black Fog].
The Sisters of Light are one of the most active in the fight against the [Miasma], so most Acolytes of the Sisters of Light will get send on these Cleansing Missions after they have gone through the basic training of the Sisters of Light, and we three just finished the basic training, we have learned the basics of Cleansing missions, and our job will be to use our Light magic on the corrupted, since we three are still Tier 1, so our [Cleanse] can cleanse ourselves, but we will not be able to cleanse the [Black Fog] itself, instead we are there to fight and gain exp, while the Senior Sisters will cleanse the [Black Fog], and they will also cover us if anything goes wrong.
In a week we will go towards the chosen place for the Beacon, it will be deep in the east of Gillian Forrest, the Forrest surrounding the mountain that Makara was located against, it will be a difficult Cleansing mission since it is far away from the next Safe Zone, so they will be sending more Knights and Mages with the Sisters of Light to keep them safe.
In the last week before the Cleansing Mission, we are supposed to go over what we learned and choose where we want to go with our Magic, since the Light can attack and heal, and the focus of our magic gives our Class evolutions a more powerful specialty, The Sisters of Light told us where we can go with the class we have now and which classes we can gain if we focus on healing or attacking, even cleansing the [Miasma] can give specific classes that are more suited for that purpose, so we can plan ahead to gain the class that calls to us, when we reach Level 50 in our Class.
'So here I am in the bath, thinking about my specialty,' I thought while looking at the [Traits] in front of me.

'My traits tells me where to go,' Luna thought, since her Affinity is the very rare form of Extreme Power. The Sisters told me that there were only 3 people in the history of Sydocia that had Extreme Power, so they wanted to nurture me, and protect me at all cost until the Goddess Ilova told them that it would cause me to be weak, and never reach the level I could reach, ever since then they treated me like any other Acolyte.
The 3rd effect of any Affinity is also rare, and only comes with those which have high or higher, power or control, and is different per person, My 3rd effect, [Truth Seeker] is also rare, only the High Priestess has that effect.
I stood up and left the bath, then looked in the mirror that shows my whole body while thinking about what the High Priestess said about my [Delicate] Trait. She was interested in my trait, since traits are rare enough, but one that has increased [Miasma] Resistance is unheard of, and she wanted to check why it was so.
When she saw the description of the trait, and heard how I was born, she concluded that my body was slightly corrupted while in the womb of my mother that was infected with [Miasma], and when my mother used her Light magic to focus heal me, she sacrificed her life for my own, cleansing my body with the Light, but the damage that the Miasma has done could not be healed, instead it gave me the Trait [Delicate] with its effects.
The High Priestess said that was also the reason why I am so short and Petite, my body is [Delicate] after all. She also said that it is also the reason why my hair is always incredibly soft and is a light golden color, since the cleaning of the light changed my body.
When I look in the mirror I see a girl with a Petite build, she is very short, small breasts, Slender body, and a small but tight butt. When focusing on the face, it will make anyone look at her with lust and a need to protect, since her face looks exquisite, something that looks so pleasing to the eye that people can never get tired looking at it, with lovely sky-blue eyes, delicate looking lips, and small nose and ears, she looks like a cute and delicate girl, who is still innocent, making people want to keep her for themselves, that last part I heard some of the Sisters mention.
'That is enough, you narcissist,' I berated myself, while getting dressed right after to talk with my roommates, Maria and Suzy, about our plan.
When I got out the bathroom I saw that Maria and Suzy were kissing on our bed, what is a common sight these days, since they started officially dating last week. It took Maria 3 weeks to seduce Suzy, who was very shy, but now that she got over her shyness, she became an addict to Maria.
"Goddess, you are both so adorable," Luna sighed out loud, making both girls stop and get off the bed.
"Really? You are calling us adorable, with you as a roommate? Every senior sister has come around here to ask if you wanted anything," Maria told me, and she is not wrong ever since I got here every day there would be a senior sister that wanted to give me things, mostly cookies or cakes, since most of them find me adorable, some even tried to seduce me.
"Yeah, just to give me sweets, they also came here every day to seduce you two" I countered while walking towards the seating area and sat on one of the chairs, while they sat together on a couch,"but let's focus more on our plan for the Cleansing Mission" I continued hoping to just start the planning.
"Okay, let's do that, I hope to become a Paladin," Maria started while explaining that she has mid-Power and mid-Control affinity, and it would be a good choice for her, but more importantly she enjoys protecting people, and that is what a Paladin focuses on.
"I want to become a Priestess," Suzy said then explained she wanted to be a healer, and also wanted to help people who need advice.
"I plan on becoming a Maiden," I told them, since it is the class specialist for powerful Skills, but almost no way to defend, and sadly I am suited for that.
"Wow, Maiden, was not expecting that," Suzy said, then looked at me with respect, since Maiden was also a rare class that was known to be closer to their chosen Deity, how close depends on the Deity.
"Now let's go and talk about where we are going," Maria started the next thing we have to talk about."we can all agree, that it is weird that on our first Cleansing Mission, we get sent to the one that goes to the Deep East of the Gillian Forrest and not the one reclaiming a lost Frontier, that is closer and safer," Maria continued, and she was not wrong, it is strange that we got sent towards a Dangerous Mission like that instead of the safer one.
"I agree, it is strange, but it is our first mission, so maybe we just think it is more dangerous since it is further from the city," I explained the possible reason we find it more dangerous.
"Could be, but I think it is still strange, you heard the rumors, right?" Suzy reminded me about a rumor last week.
One week ago a Frontier was lost, and that sometimes happens when the [Miasma] attacks it with a lot of Corrupted, but the strange thing about this one was the fact that the only known casualties were Sisters of Light, the others somehow survived, including a Noble, and that is strange in itself since, nobles almost never go to a Frontier, they mostly stay in Makara. So in a short time a rumor spreads that the Noble killed the Sisters of Light, and covered it up by breaking the Beacon of Light.
"That rumor is based on some truth, but we cannot know for certain what is true, but yes, it is suspicious, but we also cannot do anything about it," I explained since I was right, we do not really have a say in the matter, it is for the High priestess to investigate.
"Yeah, but I still think we need to watch out," Maria finished, making Suzy and I nod at her in agreement.
