Kali's pov
Right now, I am looking at the Snake's Den, while Veiled. I am standing still, so the cost is nothing. The Snake's den looks the same, but...
'Why are there so many?'
The snakes have been busy since the last time I got here. The amount of snakes has increased by at least double it previous number, at least the ones I can see.
I was confused, and checked using my Primal Sight, and found that half of the Snakes are {Corrupted}. Checking with [Hunter's Eyes], which took longer than normal, I also noticed something new.

It looks like it is transforming in something else, and using my Primal Sight, I can see the {Corruption} doing something to it.
'I kinda want to see what it will do. It will be the first time I can see the difference between a normal snake and a Corrupted snake. I could even find out what it does, or how it does it.'
I also noticed that its defense is High, and the description said their muscles are stronger on their belly, which might be useful to make some things.
Right now, I am further away from the Snake's Den than before, since I also want to take the time to increase [Archery], and my perception skills. Both of them are best trained by pushing my vision to its limit, And what better way, then to shoot arrows at thin targets, while being far away from them.

Since I checked it, I put it on, but before I did, I got an idea.
I put it back into my [Space Pocket], and then thought of getting it back out, but already on my face.
I saw a slight distortion, that I only noticed because it was straight in front of my eyes, and I felt my new mask on my face. Fitted perfectly to my face.
'That is so fucking useful, I don't need to undress or dress myself slowly anymore. I can just use my [Space Pocket] to do it. But why can I not do it with other people. When I tried this with Draka, it did not let me. Do other people have some kind of field around them, or an aura which makes them immune to [Space Pocket]. And it works on their armor too.'
I wanted to cheer, but stopped myself. This was not the time to cheer about something like this.
Looking back to the Snake's Den. I focus on every snake there, and use [Hunter's Eyes]. It took longer than normal, just like with the Gillian Strangle Snake. Most likely because of the distance.
There are just a couple of different types, and some are poisonous. There are also some with an interesting part which I could use as materials, but most are Tier 1 and are useless to me.
I know that I cannot just kill them since they will eat the bodies, and I want those.
'I need to somehow get the bodies after I shoot them, or I need to get them alone, and hide the body from the rest of the snakes. But that is also going to be hard, since the only reason that it worked last time, was the fact that Shimmer Snakes are camouflaged, and even hid their smell. So they only noticed when there were too many deaths amongst them.'
After thinking for a little more, I decided to forgo training [Archery] here. Instead, I am going to use [Hypnosis] to get them to me, and then I will just kill them and bag them into my [Space Pocket].
Moving towards the Nest took me only seconds, since my speed is insane. I did not even need to unveil since the cost of moving for a couple of seconds was low.
Arriving at a close spot, but far away enough for them to not notice me, I started the test. The range of [Hypnosis] is something that is unknown to me, so I want to take the opportunity to test its range.
I gained some understanding of [Hypnosis] after the Orc Camp, since I used it several times. Mostly to gain entrance to someone's mind, but I also used it to lure an Orc into a tent, and this is basically the same, but much harder.
The Orc I hypnotized before was already fragmented and had no defenses at all, but these snakes should have some natural defenses.
'I just hope it is not as strong as Annika or Draka, since that would be impossible from this distance. I also have to think of how to hypnotize without using a medium, like my body or my voice. This will be my first time using pure Will to hypnotize a being.'
Controlling my Will is nothing new to me, to reinforce, and to hypnotize. But to hypnotize them now, I need to move my Will towards them.
I focus and slowly move my Will out of my body towards the closest snake. It got further and further away, but I noticed a limit, and I reached it pretty fast. Around 5 meters from my body is the limit, so this method is not long enough.
I thought for a little,'I could try and drop my veil for only one side, so that only one snake saw it, and then I use my body as the medium to hypnotize it.'
Moving to a different spot was needed, and took me less than a second to do. Right now, I am closer than before, but I am confident in my speed.
'Honestly, I think I could just speed through them all and slash them all to death, but that will not help my skills, and they might get lucky.'
Focusing on my Veil, I think about revealing a small part, while at the same time, I am moving my body in a snakelike manner, like I saw those snake dancers do on tv. just my hips, and legs, since my hands are needed for other things.
'This is kinda fun. I should take the time to dance some more.'
I could feel my veil opening but not unveiling me completely, and It is difficult to keep it slightly open, like holding something heavy in your out stretched hand, but instead of getting harder and harder, it is getting easier and easier.
A snake noticed me, and was about to hiss, but then I felt it come under my [hypnosis], and it slithered towards me.
When it arrived close to me, I did something else I wanted to try.
I pushed my veil away from me, veiling the snake too. I could feel my Mana getting drained by a lot, but before I was completely empty, I stabbed the Snake, and took it in my [Space Pocket]. The veil snapped back towards me, and shimmered for a little, but then I was completely veiled again. Luckily, none of the other snakes saw the shimmer.

I was feeling giddy, and I could feel that my [Veil of Space] is stronger than before, but the real price is the feeling I have now. The control I have over the [Veil of Space] is much better than before.
'I love this feeling of control so much, like the Veil is another layer of skin.'

I am getting a headache from this, but it is important. But I also cannot do anything, since I have no idea what an Aspect is.

With the decision to throw the problem at Nina, I start my hunt again.
