My [Leatherworking] has a Sub-Skill called [Skinning], and it gives me much more info about skinning animals, and how to be as efficient as possible, including the best kind of knifes used for it. The Skill has much more info than [Forest Crafting] does, and is much more extensive.
A good skinning knife has to be sharp, thin, and short. So I grind the metal dagger in that shape, while also focusing on using Lasting Chaos on minimum, making it use less Mana, so that I don't need to use [Trance] as much.
It took me 30 minutes, but the end product looks good. The knife is sharp, and thin, and the blade is 8 cm long(3 Inch), but also wide over the flat area, to help with the durability. I also made a new handle for it, using treated wood, and leather.
I am very happy with it, and used it immediately on the Snakes I gained yesterday. Skinning their snakeskin, while also taking care to take the time to harvest the poison sacks, and putting them into my [Space Pocket], so they would stay intact for my use.
Since it was already afternoon, I decided to just make it a stay at home day, and kept skinning Snakes, while also putting them in some oil when I think they could be useful for armor, or anything else.
