Chapter 55
Annika's pov
"KALI!" I shouted after her when she ran past me. She ran to the corner in the back, close to our bed. She sent me something, but I did not pay attention to it.
Kali started floating up, and the glow she has, became more intense. A dark purple glow that became more, and more intense.
'Why is she glowing?!'
I did not get close, since I am certain that I would die if I did. [Battle Instinct] tells me that, but also my common sense.
"Nina! Do you know what is wrong?" I yelled towards her, but she is laying down by the bath, and looks like she is asleep.
The glow around Kali became so strong that it turned into a massive orb, with her in the middle. I took more of a distance, and ran towards Nina.
When I arrived at Nina, she woke up and ran towards Kali,"What happened to her?" She asked me in a hysterical tone, and it made me remember something Kali sent to me.
"Her Bloodline has been unlocked, apparently." I told her, and showed it to her too. She might be able to figure out what that means, since I have no idea.
"How does unlocking a Bloodline, cause that?" Nina yelled at the massive orb.
I got close to her and hugged her to me,"I don't think this is harming her. She did kill a Corrupter, and I don't think her reward for that is bad."
Nina sighed, and hugged me back,"I know. I got summoned by Korin, to talk about Kali. While discussing it, he saw you reacting weirdly, and then noticed the energy that Kali is giving off. But before I left, Korin told me that she should get a reward for what she did, and the System will not harm her in any way."
"But he did not tell me this. She became a Massive Ball! How is that a reward?!" Her hands gripped me stronger.
Nina's presence calms me enough to think some more,"Korin is the God of Wisdom, and he would know better than us about this. Can you ask him for help in some way?"
"Yeah, I can do that. Thank you!" She kissed me, and immediately went unconscious in my arms.
"I feel left out." I joke.
I walk to the bed and sat down, with Nina in my arms. Overlooking the massive ball of purple stuff, which has my other lover inside.
'Please, be okay.'
Nina's pov
The moment I saw Korin and Ilova, I asked them,"What is happening to Kali? Is she Okay?"
"She is alive, that I know for certain. Since she became the [Heroine of Sydocia], we would know if she died." Ilova soothed me.
"What does [Heroine of Sydocia] mean exactly?." I asked, since I know what the words mean, but from their reactions to it. I would think it is even more important than a God.
Korin went into something I like to call his 'Teacher Mode',"The [Heroine of Sydocia] is a Unique title given by the system. It is unique for there can only be one Heroine or Hero per world, at least, that is what I learned from the System. I have never traveled to another world, but the System gave us Gods, also known as Tier-5, knowledge of other worlds. The [Heroine of Sydocia] is a title that is also a position. When we interact with any other worlds out there, the [Heroine of Sydocia] is our spokesperson."
"But that is not everything, they are also connected to our world in an intricate way. They have several abilities that can help Sydocia, and its people, fight against the {Miasma} or any other invaders. Anything that is not from Sydocia will be found, at least, it should."
"You see, we never had a [Heroine of Sydocia] before, and all my knowledge is from the System. So I don't know everything about the Title, and only the basics that the System gifted us. I don't even know how she can help the people of Sydocia, but I do know how she can help against the {Miasma}...What is that?" Korin interrupted himself, and looked into the distance. Ilova was doing the same.
"What is wrong?" I asked them, and they did not have to answer me, since the System did for them.

'What does that mean?'
Before I could ask Korin, I was pushed back to my body.Opening my eyes, the first thing I see, is Annika's beautiful face looking at Kali's massive orb with a very concentrated face. Which made me curious, so I looked too.
"W-Wow" I stutter out.
The dark purple orb is releasing massive amounts of Mana, so much, that I can even see it without using [Eyes of Mana].
The combination of a dark purple center, and cyan colored Mana being released from it, makes for a very beautiful scene. I could see the Mana move through the cave, and even the cave walls could not stop it. But what really made an interesting scene, is under the orb.
Most of the Mana is going straight down, from the Orb. Like a massive laser, shooting straight down, but the Mana did not damage the floor at all. It dissapeared into the floor.
'So most of the Mana is going towards Sydocia's core. Interesting.'
After Annika and me, both looked at the beautiful spectacle for a while, Annika asked,"What did Korin say about Kali?"
"They said that she is alive." I told her, and told her what was discussed before Kali got encased by the orb, and what we just discussed before the Mana infusion brought me back home. Since I did not have the time to tell her what a Corrupter is, and how awesome Kali is, that she can kill something that even the Gods cannot kill.
After I told her everything, she got quiet,"What is wrong?" I asked her in concern.
She hugged me to her,"We need to prepare, and focus on becoming Tier-2." She told me in a serious tone.
"Yeah, but we have been doing that for a while, aren't we?"
"Correct, but more serious. I think that we will be in a lot of conflict in the future, at least, Kali will be, and we will need to grow stronger. So we can help her, so that something like this does not happen again. She is alive, but we have no idea what she is going through, since we have no idea what that orb is." Annika explained.
'She is right. Kali is very important to us, and now, she is also important to this world. Our world, and if we want to help her, we need to be stronger.'
"It is late. let's wait for Draka, and explain to her what is happening. Then we sleep, and tomorrow, we will hunt the whole day." She explained further, and almost like she was summoned by her name. Draka entered the cave with a serious expression, and then got a surprise in the form of a massive orb.
"Is this the Mana Infusion?" She asked us, and I could see why she thought so.
"Yes and no," I told her, and indicated for her to sit with us, and when she did. I explained everything that happened.
"That is a lot to take in, are both of you okay?" She asked us, and the tone of her voice makes me believe she is asking for our mental state instead of any physical harm.
"We are dealing with it, but of course, we would rather have Kali with us, but sadly, that is not possible, for now. I hope this state of hers is short-lived, but we have no idea how long this takes." I explained to her.
'Fuck, I miss her already. This is even worse than the time she left us for a couple of days. We at least knew what she was doing. But now, I have no idea what is happening to her.'
Before we could discuss more, we got another notification from the System.

"What is [Lyr] Protocol? Does it have anything to do with [Crystals of Lyr]?" I ask, but not expecting an answer.

"I-I am mentioned there," I say in surprise, since it says my name, and people will be able to see what I created too. Focusing on the [Waters of Lyr], actually gives me the appraisal of it. Everyone will know about it now, which will help immensely against the {Miasma}.
'Also, my last name is also Lustveil.'
I look at my status, and indeed, my name is now Nina Lustveil.
'Did Kali do this?'
"This will help a lot against the {Miasma}, and the {Corrupted}." Annika said, after she was done reading it all.
"Correct, it will." Draka agreed with her.
I read the notification again, and noticed the top,"Is Lyr a name? And the Title is [Primordial of Spirit]?" I ask myself.
"Sounds like it," Draka said, and Annika nodded at that, in agreement.
"Interesting, does that mean that [Crystals of Lyr] has something to do with Spirit, and that is why it is so effective against the {Miasma}?" I pondered.
'It would make sense for the {Miasma} to have a weakness against it then. We can work with that. I have [Spirit Affinity], so I might be able to create a skill that uses it. Like [Waters of Lyr].'
"Let's discuss it more tomorrow, I am exhausted from everything that happened today," Annika said, and she yawned, to prove her point.
Draka and I both agreed, and we all took off our armor.
It took me a while to fall asleep, looking at the massive orb with Kali inside it.
