Chapter 57

Nina's pov

I move my staff forwards, and my new skill called [Water Bomb], flew towards the Tier-2. This one was already waiting for us, so I believe they can communicate with each other in a way, or it can sense us coming.

(Rare)Water Bomb Level 1 (active)

Creates a Bomb made from compressed Water.
Size dictates the power of the Bomb.

Does Massive Damage.

Uses 100-500 Mana

The Skill is very powerful, but also uses a lot of Mana. My [Water Ball], which it was before, only used 100 Mana at the end, and its power was amazing, but this [Water Bomb] is insane. I have only used 100 Mana to make it, since that is already powerful enough to outright kill the Tier-2 Rockal Golems. The only minus to this Skill, is the fact, it is harder to control then the [Water Ball].    I can move the [Water Bomb], but I cannot make the blast concentrated at one direction anymore, since the force of the blast is much too powerful for me to control. At least, how I am now. I hope that, when I get better at Water Control, that I can control the blast, which would make the Skill much stronger against a single enemy.
You killed a Rockal Golem (Level 54) you gained exp!
You reached Level 46! Gained 5 attribute points!
[Water Mage] Leveled up to Level 46!

'These Rockal Golems are the perfect prey for me. Almost like they are made to be killed by me.'

"It is dead." I told Annika. This is the 5th Tier-2 Rockal Golem we killed today, and we killed more than 80 Tier-1 Stone Golems. It is only the middle of the day, and I am already getting tired from the constant fighting.

Looking at Annika, I can see that she is still filled with energy.

An elemental advantage is a huge help right now. It has made it possible for me to kill Tier-2 Earth elementals as a Tier-1. All the books that I read, mentioned that killing something at a higher Tier is very hard, since Tier-2 gain a lot of Attributes from their Evolution.

"I reached level 46, but I am exhausted already, and my Mana is almost empty." I told Annika.

Annika nodded,"Let's go back home, and you can rest. I will keep hunting the Tier-1 Stone Golems, so I can catch up to you."

Because I keep killing the Tier-2 Golems, I gain a massive amount of Experience. But Annika only killed the Tier-1 Stone Golems, which really slowed down her leveling speed compared to me. She reached level 39, so close to 40. But it is much slower compared to me. Of course, the only reason I can kill them so easily is my elemental advantage.

"Not needed, I will just Meditate for a while, and we can go again." I told her, since I want to reach Tier-2 as soon as possible.

After I got her confirmation, I laid down on a rock, and started my meditation. There is no need to sit in the lotus position, like the novels I read said, instead, I just need to relax and let my mind focus inwards.

While in my meditation, I can feel my Mana inside my body, and can feel the Mana in the air being sucked towards me, and mix with my own Mana. While the Mana is being sucked into me, I feel that it is slightly better than before.

'Is this the effect of the Mana Infusion, that the World Announcement talked about?'

While meditating, I like to think about things. Mostly about my second Class, since I will soon reach Tier-2, and will be able to have a second Class. I already have a Combat Class, so I can have an Artisan Class, or a Life Class.

I looked into Korin's book, to find out more information about these Class types, and decided on Enchanter for Artisan Class. But the amount of Enchanters on Sydocia are extremely small. Of almost all Artisan Classes, the Enchanter is one of the rarest, since the requirements are so high.

Good control of Mana, high Wisdom, General Skill Enchanting, and High Dexterity.

The control and high Wisdom I already have, but to learn Enchanting, I need certain Items and an Artifact to Enchant. The other requirement, of high Dexterity, is because of precision. Enchanting is a very hard skill to learn, and high Dexterity is needed to etch the necessary engravings. Good thing, I kept my Attribute Points for when it is needed, so I can get high dexterity.

Also should be mentioned, what high means. In this case, it means 100, which I can manage with my 135 Attribute points.

I stood up, since I have regained most of my Mana, and it is enough for the rest of the day, hopefully.

"Alright, I have enough, let's go." I said, and walked towards the next spot with a Tier-2. To be certain, I looked around again using my [Eyes of Mana], and found an interesting area.

'Why is all the Earth Mana going towards that spot?'

Not that far away from us, a lot of Earth Mana is going towards a rock, and when I looked at the rock. I found out it was a Golem, but not a Stone Golem, or a Rockal Golem. From its Mana, it looks much stronger than both, and it is becoming stronger from the Earth Mana.

It is too far away for me to Appraise, so I mentioned it to Annika, and we both got closer to it.

When we arrived at the area of the new Golem, I noticed that it was not a rock, like I thought. It is a big piece of metal ore, which looks like a rock when I use [Eyes of Mana]. I appraise it, since we are close enough now.

(Rare) Drius Golem (Tier 2)

Golem made from Drius Metal. Extremely strong, and durable Metal Golem. Known to be extremely durable.

Power: High. Speed: low! Defense: Extreme. Special: Medium.

'Okay, this one is going to be hard, and I wonder if my Water Magic works against it. Speed is low, and it would not surprise me if it was almost non-existence, since that thing looks heavy.'

I told Annika the details, and told her my idea,"It is extremely slow, so I can try and blast it, to see my Water's effect on it."

Annika looked at it, and for 10 seconds, she looked like she was somewhere else. I have seen her do this everyday at least once. It is her, using [Battle Simulation].

When she was done, she told me her results,"I cannot do much to it, its defense is extreme, and my weapon only makes a cut on it. Only thing I cannot see, is its resistance to your Water Magic."

'Makes sense, her [Battle Simulation] uses information she has to simulate a battle in her mind at fast speeds, and she cannot simulate things that she cannot see, like my Water Magic's effect on the Golem.'

She can see the Golem, and that makes it possible to check her effect on it, but she cannot see the effect of other people on it, without seeing them fight first. Even with that, the skill is very useful for determining her own effect on the enemy before she fights them.

Since we agreed, I used [Water Bolt] on it, since it is alone, and I don't know the effect of Water Magic on it. [Water Bomb] would be wasted on it.

My [Water Bolts] impact the metal, and it did nothing. The Golem did not even react to it at all, so I decided to use [Water Bomb] anyway, hoping that it will work, since it has more force and damage.

The [Water Bomb] was loaded with 500 Mana, since I wants to see how much stronger it is than the 200 Mana I used before. It impacted the Drius Golem, and exploded in a cascade of water and pressure. The ground around it cracked from the pressure, and got blasted into pieces. The Drius Golem was drowned in water, and we could not see it anymore.

When the water finally settled, the Drius Golem stood up, and I saw no noticeable damage to it at all. I was shocked that it could survive something like that.

'500 Mana wasted.'

Before I could say anything, Annika said something,"It is damaged. Look at its legs, specifically the knees."

I did what she said, and looked at its legs, and noticed several cracks at its knees, going downwards.

'Was it the pressure from all the water?'

"It is not made from pure Drius metal, the knees are still partly rock." Annika said, and the Drius Golem started falling, when the knees could not take the weight of its body anymore, and they broke apart.

The heavy golem rammed into the ground, and it used its arms to move itself up again. The golem does not have eyes, but I knew that it was focusing on me, most likely because I damaged it.

"This will be easier now, I will attack it, you focus on using [Water Bolts] on its joints, and face." Annika ordered, and charged at the Golem.

Since it lost so much mobility, and now is using its arms as a way to move, it is indeed easier.

Annika's pov

When I got close to the Drius Golem, I appraised its materials, and found out why Nina's [Water Bomb] did nothing to it, except damage its weak knees.

Drius Metal is extremely durable, and has a very high resistance to blunt force damage. [Water Bomb] uses its pressure to do massive amount of damage, and that is just blunt force.

'That is why my axe worked at it in my [Battle Simulation], its sharp force resistance is low.'

Most of the time, I use my axe as a focused blunt force, and [Cleave] makes it sharper. Good thing, I know how to make it even sharper, since I upgraded my [Large Axes] to [Axe Mastery], which has given me basic knowledge of axe usage. It taught me several ways to hack, slash, defend, and even throw.

Since I know that it is weaker against sharp force, I use my axe in a way to focus on cutting, while using [Brute Force] to empower myself. [Cleave] and [Power Strike] made me cut a nice slash in its arm, but nothing insane, since it is still metal, even with its weakness against sharp force.

After I cut the Golem, it still did not pay attention to me, and instead tried to move closer to Nina, but it is so slow. Nina can just run from it, or walk slowly backwards, and it will not be able to reach her.

Since it is focused on Nina, I kept cutting into its arm, focusing on the same spot. While I was doing that, several [Water Bolts] impact the golem at its joints, but most of them hit around them, since Nina is not a good shot.

Every time a [Water Bolt] hits its joints, it pauses for a split second, like it was afraid. But it was a good thing, since it keeps it attention to Nina, until I got to deep.

I cut again, and this time, it sank in deeper then normal. I cut off almost 3/5 of its arm at this point, and the Golem finally brought its attention to me.

It swung its arm at me, and I put my axe infront of me, to defend against it.

The impact was weakened by its unstable swing at me, but it still forced me back by 3 meters.

'[Mountain Stance] saved me again. I need more strength.'

After I reached level 39, I have 25 Attribute points, and I added them now to strength, since it is something I need.

The moment I mentally added the Points to strength, I felt my muscles tighten, and strengthen. I could also feel my body better, and felt better in my movement.

Since I felt much better, I charged at the arm again, and use my momentum to cut at the same spot again. My axe moved throught the metal like a hot knife through mud, but it cut much deeper than before. 4/5 of the arm was cut, and it almost severed.

The golem did not like it, so it swung its other arm at me, causing all the weight to land on the almost severed arm.

It cracked, and then broke apart, and the Drius Golem fell on its head, since it was in middle of a attack. The attack missed me, and I took the Opportunity to cut at its torse, since that is the actual core part of its body.

It tried to use its last remaining arm to defend itself, but it was on its stomach, and it could not move its arm to my side. It was like a turtle on its shell, so it could not do anything, when I cut deep enough to kill it.
